We decided to hire a high profile foreign producer for our video of ‘Heartbroke’. After millions of $ spent and countless wardrobe changes, we arrived at this... Hey, you gotta admit we look pretty damn good. And that’s all that matters. Right?

Excited to finally announce the release of the new album, "Shadows On the Wall", at the Variety Playhouse on August 23rd!
We can finally share what we've been working so hard on for the past few months. Hope to see you guys there!
Here's a little treat for you guys.
This is a song off the new album called 'Aubade' performed acoustically, live on WRFS SCAD Radio in Savannah. Enjoy!
WE'VE FINISHED TRACKING.
Finally! What an exhausting 2 months. We've all turned into zombies, but it has definitely been worth it. Not only has the last couple of months produced some great sounding stuff, it also has been a great experience for all of us. Thanks to Fudge Recording Studio and Southern Ground Studios Atlanta for hosting us. Great people at both of these locations. And thanks Tom for some seriously long days, staying late, and pushing to get things finished.
Now, by no means is the record finished. But it is a relief to be able to put down our instruments and watch the remaining acts play out. The tracks are in Tom's hands now as he edits and compiles final drafts of the songs over the next few weeks. Good luck to him... there are 100s of GB of audio files for him to sort through...
Lots to look forward to. Also lots of studio footage to sort though on our end. We hope to release some promotion videos of the studio sessions over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!
Lates,

There's been a change in scenery this week as we have decided to stay local and record violin and vocals with our good friends at Southern Ground Studios just outside of Atlanta.
Tom drove up on Friday and has settled into living out of a hotel. He has also found and bought all Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro in the surrounding area. As a side note, congratulations to Tom Drummond and Better Than Ezra for their new record deal and upcoming album and tour. Article in the Hollywood Reporter here. Tour dates on Better Than Ezra's website here.
Richard has been putting in seriously long days tracking violin. The good news is that he has wrapped up his parts. The bad news is that he is completely strung out from three 12+ hour days and nobody has heard from him since... Our guess is he has gone into hibernation and will reappear as soon as the album is released. But that is only a theory.
Shawn has been steadily knocking out vocal tracks during the day today while Colin and Steve will come in this afternoon to start putting the final touches on the tracks with vocal harmonies. Things couldn't be sounding better. We've still got a little ways to go before we can share what we've been working on, but trust us... It's going to be awesome.
Until next time,
7HC
More photos from the weekend!
We're getting close to the end of another long weekend of recording. Colin finished up his banjo parts in just under 2 days (record time) and Steve is well into his first day with great success.
An awesome story worth mentioning happened on Thursday.
In our previous blog post, we asked if anyone in the New Orleans area was able to help with procuring a quality mandolin. Well, within 30 minutes we had a response from someone saying the could possibly help. Within an hour after that, Carrie showed up at the studio door with the mandolin we are currently using in the studio! (See photo above).
So, here's a shout out to Carrie. She works for a full-service marketing company tailored exclusively for musicians, called Bandpak. Check out their website here. Thanks Carrie!
Finally, we'll check back in during the next session when we're tackling violin.
Ta Ta,

It's day one of our third week of recording. Shawn is wrapping up miscellaneous guitar parts and then it's Steve's turn to make some noise.
The weather is cooperating this time around, however we've had issues locating quality mandolins in the greater New Orleans area. The picture above shows Steve hard at work trying to find additional options for his mandolin sound. If anyone has one, respond!!
No, it's not that serious. We've got options, and it WILL sound good. (but if you're in NOLA... with a mandolin... hola...)
Anywho. Check back soon for more photos and videos of Steve and Colin's sessions.
Sayonara,

Here are some photos so far from the weekend.
Today is the final day of recording week #2. Troy's been killing it and should be wrapping up his parts in the next few hours. Shawn will finish his tracks from last week's trip, and then we will start recording violin.
The tunes are sounding awesome!
Still much more to do. Can't wait to hear some mandolin and banjo next week.
work! work! work!
Yours Truly,
7HC
What a ridiculous trip to the studio for the second week of recording... 24 hours to get from Atlanta to New Orleans. The pictures above give a slight glimpse into the last few days although it seems to only show the fun parts.
("but it was All fun!...")
Nope! The part where we sat from 7 pm to 5 am on the same part of I-65 sandwiched between two semi's was unfortunately not the highlight of the night. Regardless, we were able to steal the last hotel room in the city (town?, villiage?) from the rest of the unfortunate gridlockers and squeezed out 3 hours of sleep.
Good news is, even after a rough start to the day, the ice cleared and we careened through the rest of Alabama and Mississippi until we finally arrived at Fudge Recording Studio.
Done.
Sneauxmageddon in ATL. World is going to end. And then we'll record again soon.
Jeff cutting some drum tracks.
Wuuuuuut?
Day 1 is in the books.
Hey man. I like your hair.
In the control room.
