Is that TOM HOLLAND? No, that’s IORWERTH ‘BAMBI’ BAMBER! The FAE from YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND has BEEN ASSIGNED TO the Agency Facility in Wayhaven, Illinois, USA. It’s said that HE is JAUNTY & ADAPTABLE, but also that HE is FACETIOUS & DECEITFUL. Who knows where HE will go from here! [Iorwerth Bamber, colloquially known as Bambi, says he’s something of a performer: a showman and a conman tied hand-in-hand. He’s all bright smiles and flirty jokes, with soft brown baby deer eyes that have won him many a favour — hence the nickname. Bambi is a self-proclaimed troublemaker, an Echo World escapee who spent the better part of a century flitting around all of Northern England; he was a street magician, he’ll tell you, though not an honest one. He’s quick-witted, with an equally quick tongue and quick hands, using his deceptively boyish charm to trap and lie and cheat. A card trick here, an illusion with fae magic there (just a touch, he swears, because his sleight of hand needs very little help to hold its own), and he’s collected enough in gambles, tips and picked pockets to buy himself something shiny. He’s enjoyed Earth freely and flippantly for decades, but of course, his petty thievery and casual swindling inevitably earned him the Agency’s ire. Living life on the run sounds exciting in concept, he’d joke, but it lost its appeal far quicker than he’d have expected. It’s been nearly thirteen years now that Bambi has worked for the Agency as part of a deal they struck.] | (Rune, 23, GMT +8, she/they, ʀᴜɴᴇ#6709)
Is that ELODIE YUNG? No, that’s HELEYNE KHAT! The HUMAN from BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS has ARRIVED AT the Agency Facility in Wayhaven, Illinois, USA. It’s said that SHE is DILIGENT & ASTUTE, but also that SHE is SNIDE & CYNICAL. Who knows where SHE will go from here! [Heleyne grew up in Wayhaven, but coming back doesn’t feel like coming home. It’s been over a decade and a half since she’s stayed here for longer than a holiday weekend; she left after high school and rarely looked back. She got a degree in journalism, found a job at one of Boston’s top news outlets, won a couple of press awards, and even got engaged. She seldom thought about her hometown, which she preferred — Wayhaven is the place her mother disappeared, after all; its streets carry ghosts in the breeze, empty spaces and faded memories sitting heavy in her chest. She never planned to return, but plans change: a controversial article got her benched, her fiancé backed out a month before the wedding, and her father (ageing, frail, and living alone since her younger brother got that post in Toronto) broke his hip in a fall and needed frequent care. Coming home was more a necessity than a want — but, either at the fault of small town boredom or her own unpleasant past, she’s started to notice strange things around Wayhaven. Her editorial job at the Wayhaven Press leaves her with fewer opportunities to investigate than she’d have as a reporter, but if there’s a story here, she’s sure to find it.] | (Rune, 23, GMT +8, she/they, ʀᴜɴᴇ#6709)
