If you're a writer and you publish your work on AO3, please check your inbox/the comments on your works! There's a scammer in the Fallen London (and related fandoms) works targeting Gen/T works with spambot comments. The earliest I've seen of works affected is one updated on April 6th of this year, but it seems to primarily target works that were originally published last year (possibly later?) as far as I can tell.

They're super easy to tell because they all use the same format and they're from the same user: Stephanienixon899 (and they all give the same discord username in the body of the comments.)

Here's some of the comments I found on my works, and a handful I've found on other folks' works.

Check your AO3 and report these comments if you have them! And in case you need to hear it, don't reach out on Discord to talk to or harass them! Just report and move on.

it's good enrichment for The Character(s) when one of their friends gets possessed and they have to find some way to bring them back. great friendgroup bonding activity. especially if they have to do some exorcism bullshit and it's traumatizing for everyone involved and there's collapsing and sobbing afterward. great thing for The Character(s) to do. highly recommend.
