Now, let’s look at past season finales here.  There was the gala, and the wedding before this.  Exactly as advertised, however, what was also present, but not advertised, was a serious case of shit hitting the fan.  My new theory is that she’ll become an alicorn at the start, cause her big screw up, fix it using her new powers, and then step down.

Yes, I think this wont be a big thing. If there a season 4, then Twilight wont stay as a Alicorn because it stuffs up the Main 6.
