“I would say that life in general is not fair but there is something wholly wrong with having your control ripped so easily from you. I did my time as a Klaus’ puppet. I’m all about Free Will now.” Like hell would she let anyone dictate how she lived her life. She might have made peace with what Klaus’ did but that didn’t mean she was ever going to forget it.
Cami listened as her whole hybrid theory was discussed. “Wow, the strength but not the downsides…drinking blood, I mean. The thought of it makes my stomach curl.” She tended to avoid being witness to it when and where she could. “I am glad you know what you’re getting yourself into with this place. I just know that things are particularly tense now — but then again, I think that is just par for the course at this point.” There would probably never be any real peace in New Orleans. A sobering thought really.
“Fair, fair. I’d probably be the same if compulsion had been used on me for bad, unfortunately, my only experience was for the good. It was to keep my Queen Lissa safe and I did that before the head honcho’s found us and took us back to St. Vlad’s against our will. That is what I don’t approve of.” The reason for Cami’s apprehension to the powers of the vampires they surrounded themselves with was warranted, it wasn’t a feeling Rose wished on anyone. The removal of one’s agency. “Same, I would throw the blood up if I was forced to consume it. It’s sticky and red is so not my colour unless I’m trying to tease someone.” She blushed, thinking about the way she could use a red dress to torment Dimitri. It was a thrilling thought but she quickly ripped herself out of the fantasy. “Black is more my style. I’m strong, certainly not strong enough to take on an Original, but a regular vamp, please, I could do it in my sleep.”
