After watching a playthrough of Dead Space 3

I hope someone makes a Dead Space 4. I really want to continue Isaac Clarke’s adventures. Maybe split the game up and have the first half be about Ellie going to try and find Isaac, then you take over as Isaac for some reason. Could even be some kind of co-op thing with one player being Isaac and the other being Ellie. The lore is too cool to abandon.

I’m hearing Titans is a really good show...

Kind of crazy how much good/great superhero-related content there is now on TV, streaming and in the movies. A Titans show, a DC TV universe, all the Marvel stuff. Now WB/DC Films is getting their shit together apparently, and expanding the movie universe.

I haven’t played a pancake video game in almost two years. lol I doubt I’ll play another. I was just watching this video on YouTube about an old issue of this game magazine I remember from my youth and Zelda and Mega Man were mentioned and I realized I’ve never played either.

Confession time

I owned a Nintendo growing up but I never ever played a single Zelda or Mega Man game. I wanted A Link to the Past on SNES but never had the chance to get it and have still never played it. To this day I’ve still never played a single game from either series.

After over a year in VR

After getting my Odyssey in August of 2017 and using it almost every day since, my consensus is that VR is fucking awesome, but it’s not perfect and I know what I want out of it going forward.

wireless; I can’t wait for VR to ditch cables

standalone HMDs that use proprietary OSs made for VR(using Windows/Steam is so frustrating) I’m infinitely hyped for Oculus Quest

simple activity-based games/experiences/sims that aren't necessarily graphically intense but offer simplistic interactions that can be sustained for long periods(BoxVR, Thrill of the Fight, Beat Saber, Racket Fury, Synth Riders)

wider FOV; 100-110 is nice, but I'm starting to really want to know what it'd be like to have a more natural FOV

better resolution; even though the Odyssey's visual clarity is one of the best on the market, I'm starting to dream about HMD that offer better pixel density, more accurate blacks, .etc

hand tracking; motion controllers are amazing and I hope they evolve, but I'd love the option of an even more stripped down and simplistic method of interacting with objects in VR that doesn't involve buttons and triggers

more than just games; I love games but this is VR and I think the medium has unlimited potential. I want to shop in VR by looking at full-scale 3D models of products I may want to buy. I VR to be something I need to use more than something I want to use.

virtual tourism; VR allows us to have a sense of spatial presence anywhere we can imagine. I want to visit Bates Motel, The Great Tree from Legend, The Daily Planet, Tatooine, Halloweentown from a Nightmare Before Christmas(all fictional places)or even real places like the Scottish Highlands. I hope movie studios start to see the unique use cases for VR and translate some of their iconic locations into virtual spaces and I hope someone finds a way to bring real-world locations into VR in a much bigger way.

Glug glug

I can’t believe I’m taking the family to see a movie about Aquaman(or as the movie will probably be called in Malaysia, “Epic Water King”) in three weeks and then a movie about Shazam AND A WONDER WOMAN SEQUEL(whaaaaaaaa?!) in 2019. As a lifelong DC fan I was happy to get a Batman movie once every seven fucking years and now WB is really guiding the DC ship into seemingly more lucrative waters.

Of course I’ll reserve judgment until I see Aquaman, but I’m pretty hyped and I’ve liked all of James Wan’s previous movies so we’ll see.

I get several of the DC Sideshow statues I’ve been paying off in 2019, with more I’ll be ordering like Green Arrow, John Stewart GL and maybe Power Girl(if I can find one under $800). Great time to be a fan.

Boy, that Fallout 76, huh?

Take a franchise that is about open world exploring, macro and micro narratives about a broken world and immersive role-playing gameplay has been reduced to a brain-dead looter shooter with microtransactions and no NPCs?

Who thought this was a good idea? This would be like changing Doom into a turn-based card game. Bethesda must not understand why people like Fallout to begin with.

I still need to play Fallout 4 VR but I’m afraid the performance will suck.
