Popping in here quickly to answer the following ask from strawpage! Thank you for asking! Full response below (it's pretty lengthy though because I wanted to answer as best as I could, I tend to talk a lotttttt)
Uhm, I don't really get into the pro/anti discourse just because for me it doesn't really make sense:/// I don't interact with weird content and I filter out the tags that I don't wanna see/vibe with, and of course I ABSOLUTELY DON'T SUPPORT OR INTERACT WITH ANY FUCKED UP STUFF that people label as 'proship' (although being completely honest I don't really know what this term means in detail, I feel like people have been throwing it around so much that it became this blurry line around what's okay and what's proship so I might be misunderstanding the term entirely)
I usually follow back people who follow me or I follow people who post under the tags that I like and I admit I don't always look through their accounts before I do so because frankly unless I'm actively texting with someone, idgaf if they post stuff I don't agree with (on Tumblr I just mostly have some tags blocked so I don't always see all the posts lmao)
Obviously I'm not saying we should normalise shipping weird, gross, illegal stuff (especially incest and pedo shit) but tbh I've been on the internet long enough to know that most accounts who are posting this stuff are either just into it or are troll accounts and in both cases I don't make a big deal out of it. As long as I don't see and support these posts I don't think that just following an account is really bad
As I said, unless I actively reach out/interact with said accounts, I don't really know most of the stuff ppl post under my blocked tags
Especially with artists, if I see someone whose art I like, who draws my fav character but at the same time happens to draw weird/gross stuff I don't fw, I just simply shrug, like the art I vibe with and move on because I really don't have the energy to deal with everything that people post online.
Honestly I struggle a lot with my mental health and stressing over what someone posts is literally absolutely irrelevant to me, often it's much easier to just shrug and scroll by rather than stressing about complete strangers on the internet (I have enough anxiety issues as it is, although I know that it sounds pretty selfish)
I wanna stress it once more that I will NEVER support people who did bad shit irl/did some shitty stuff themselves (I always block and report people who post irl gore, other weird disgusting shit, or who have been texting minors etc etc you know what I'm talking about), but if they're talking about fictional characters, especially if I don't see most posts, I either just shrug and move on (sometimes seeing someone's unhinged opinion that's obviously a ragebait/troll is also crazy entertaining to me so there's that)
For me, the accounts I follow don't have to be people I 100% agree with and if I don't like something I just scroll past it. I think that more important is the stuff I reblog/like and that's the indicator of my opinion and preferences rather than who I follow.
Of course if I follow someone who is harassing others or doing some fucked up stuff, I absolutely won't be interacting with them, but if the crime is only having the "proship" stuff in their bio honestly I usually just don't care enough.
With the pro/anti/dark ship stuff, it's usually just 'eh, whatever. be an appropriate amount of weird, don't do fucked up stuff'.
I am in charge of what content I wanna consume so if I don't wanna see something I filter it out (and I honestly advise the same to u guys, blocking tags on Tumblr is so easy fr)
Summing it up (because I made this post unnecessarily long): I'm not always aware of what opinions someone I follow has because I don't look through all the accounts I follow too much. I don't support pedo/incest content and I absolutely am against harassment, and other fucked up things done by people.
I've tried to explain my point of view but honestly I don't know if I worded it correctly ;-;

I'm so happy you asked even though my response will probably be a bit underwhelming NGL.... (Also one thing I wanted to address is that Emi is not really a self insert and rather just an OC that I really like writing theehee...Maybe one day I'll make my own self insert/persona but idk if I like myself enough to do so lmaooo)
Anyways
Emira was created around 8 years ago, so there was no original thought in my head whatsoever, therefore her quirk is just simply 'cat' (parallel to how Mirko is a rabbit)
Some of her traits include:
-The super original design with cat ears and tail (nyan sugar neko girls would be a perfect place for her)
-Claws (both on her fingers and toes)
-Somewhat of a good balance/climbing skills (maybe if she wasn't so malnourished she'd be better at it)
-Cats naturally don't have a smell, which would be awesome, but unfortunately Emira drowns herself in a ton of perfume so.....it isn't really relevant
Idk what more to add here, she has a lot of cat traits, she's just a kbitty tbh theehee ;33
