my family, which consists of 4 adults, a 7-year-old girl, and our parents, have survived four previous wars and more than 17 military escalations, but this war was different. The bombing has not stopped since the outbreak of the conflict in Gaza in October.
Since the first week of the war, we evacuated our home and headed to the areas of southern Gaza. We moved to more than one place in search of security and safety, but to no avail, as the ravages of war follow us wherever we go.
I lost my university education. In 2023, I obtained a grade of 90% in high school. I aspired to become a software engineer. My university was also destroyed, but I still insisted on achieving my dream and completing my studies despite the difficult circumstances and challenges we face. Likewise, my brother Walid, my twin, obtained a grade of 92%. In high school, he who aspires to be an expert in the field of multimedia lost his education and university. Likewise, my brother Tawfiq, who is studying in the second year in the field of management and finance, is in our same situation and lost all his hopes and university studies
We have become homeless and without education, forced to live in inhumane and unsafe conditions and the lack of health care. We have become vulnerable to diseases, epidemics and food poisoning. My father was injured as a result of constant bombing in the area of our displacement, and since his injury he has been exposed to many cases of fainting, and his health condition is poor due to the lack of any health care.
Our beautiful seven-year-old girl lost her smile before she lost the meaning of childhood and lost her school, which she loved, and she also lost some of her friends who she always asks us about and we don’t know what to answer.
As compassionate individuals, it is our duty to extend a helping hand to those in need during times of crisis. Therefore, I have initiated this fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to raise funds to facilitate the evacuation of this vulnerable family to safety.
