And that was where Ino’s good mood ended. “Excuse me?” She asked, stopped and spinning around to face Shikamaru with a more than annoyed expression. “This woman has a name you know!” Ino crossed her arms. “It’s not like you had anything better to do! Oh, what, did I stop you from taking your daily old man nap? I bet if Choji was here he would help me without complaining!” Ino huffed, turning her face away stubbornly. “And, on second thought, maybe I won’t get you lunch after all!”

Two can play this game. Behind the bags and totes there’s a cold grin trying to twist along tanned features; he’d forgotten how much they bickered when they were together. Sandals halt and arms loosen around the bags, letting them fall to the ground at his feet. “....Carry your own things then, you witch.”

Ino walked in front of her teammate, eyes scanning around the marketplace for any other potential stores they might want to hit before she decided she was done. Hearing his voice from behind the things she’s bought, she stopped and turned back. “What? I thought we were having fun!” She chuckled. It was honestly nice that Shikamaru was being a good sport about it all, Ino would make sure to keep that in mind. “How about this, just one more and then I’ll treat you to lunch.”

It takes a Herculean effort for Shikamaru to hold in his sigh of utmost dismay—why, oh why, did women love shopping? His mother, Ino, and probably every other kunoichi in the world were all the same. “This might be fun for you, woman...” murmurs the Nara, shuffling along after his teammate.
