“Ino Yamanaka”

Neji:

Neji watched her changing the child’s diaper closely, looking over her shoulder as he stood behind her.  He removed a toy from his bag, a little soft bunny only as big as his thumb, catching the baby’s attention with it before holding it behind Ino’s back, out of sight.  “They byakugan is part of us.”  The veins around his eyes protruded as he activated his kekkei genkai, causing the baby to reflexively activate the byakugan as well, tiny as it was, making little noises as little pale eyes moved from Neji to Ino, spying the toy held behind her back and reaching for it.  “One so young can only see a few feet, but it’s there.  It’s an instinct.” 

Ino’s eyes widened somewhat with intrigue. “Wow.” It was far from the first time she’d seen a byakugan activated but it was definitely her first time seeing it on a baby. Ino put the baby’s clothes back on before gently picking her up and holding her over her shoulder. She then turned back to Neji. “So then our baby will be able to do that too?”

“Oh yes, of course,” Ino forced a sheepish smile. “Buying flowers for yourself is nice too. Hehe.” It usually wasn’t hard for Ino to get customers to talk to her but this one seemed so standoffish. She looked down at the flowers again. “Well then, if they’re for you, why don’t we make it a bouquet? I can help you choose out some pretty ones that go with these perfectly if you want.”

not as much as i used to be and i apologize for that. im still logged on 24/7 though so i do try and check in as often as i can. if you want to write just message me and we can work smth out. im actually finding that these days discord is the easiest place to write if you would like to write there too

Neji:

Neji followed her, removing his bag from his back and removing supplies.  “I don’t have to return her until after dinner.”  Though he wasn’t very experienced with babies so small, he had actually volunteered for the task.  He liked babies, despite the frequent screaming.  “The child has a strong byakugan,” he noted as he followed close behind. 

“Really? How can you tell?” Ino asked curiously, looking back briefly before carefully laying the baby down on her bed. She accepted all the supplies from Neji and first carefully moved the baby to lay on one of her own blankets so as not to make a mess on Ino’s bed. Ino looked back again briefly to make sure Neji was watching before beginning her demonstration, making sure to go slowly so he could see her actions. “See? You do it like this.”
