Severe Storm On The Horizon

Seemingly there have been a series of storms moving around Wisconsin, anywhere from tornados to thunderstorms and of course low line flooding. The clouds looked like they were ready to reach down to suck you in. Storms can be an amazing part of a photographers life if that’s what one takes interest in, but storms should never be taken advantage of. Their power does so much damage and the devastation can be heartbreaking. For me and my friends and family, we take all measures to ensure safety but still photograph them. So for anyone who becomes a photographer for storms, be careful because this year has so far been a very dangerous batch of weather.

Miraculous Wisconsin Sunset

Being a photographer has brought many amazing things to our lives, wonderful landscapes, unique waterfalls, the adventures of the things we see and do, but nothing could have prepared us for such a beautiful moment as this with many beautiful cloud formations, and the shadow of night ready to fall. It was a very dynamic sunset over the waters of Wisconsin and we hope to see something like this again.

In Depth Of Macro

Trying something new in the art of photography never hurt. For I’m sure every photographer, we want to find new techniques to making a better photograph or to find a new way to express an emotion. What one may see with only their eyes is imagined and brought to the eye of the lenses we choose to use. I was told by my mentor that the only bad photographs are the ones you don’t photograph. When I joined GuruShots I didn’t think even this one would win but I guess it’s alright.

The second one became more of an emotion of abstract. This one actually has its own uniqueness and somehow i grew attached to this one. If your ever looking to start doing photography, you may never get what you want the first shot, but somewhere you’ll get it.

The beauty of these flowers are in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This Summer has been glorious with these brightly colored flowers and in public gardens. sadly they aren’t always respected due to the harsh heatwave we’ve had and they are wilting away. Rain has been far and few between which hasn’t provided the water needed for these now sleeping beauties. maybe next year will be better.

Long Passed is the becoming of technology versus what most of us may have had when we were younger, the compass. However, if i’m out of the range for GPS I keep my compass in my hiking backpack. This image that i did was the use of matte and a light light to act as a small amount of fog to give the sense the compass was fading slowly.

Many have asked in my travels what kind of camera’s I have. I have my Canon and one that uses film. i still use my film camera but tend to flow over to my Nikon and sometimes my Canon. I’ve been a photographer since I was age 21 and found throughout the years that not every photograph will turn out the way you want but does tend to have some uniqueness to the photograph. Though I’m self taught photographer, I still try to overcome those mistakes and will always try hard to learn new techniques. Like I was told, that the only bad photographs are the one you never try to take.

Hearts if you look closely are in this flower. New mexico has many unique plants that commonly may or may not be seen everywhere. In New Mexico many plants are poison or if rubbed against can make you itch. This season of 2019 brought much colorful plants. Sadly with the heat, these bright and beautiful flowers were short lived.
