Kaori Sakamoto (4.9.2000)
Evgenia Medvedeva & Alina Zagitova in Japan for Stars on Ice
“Everything indicates that I will continue skating"
Anna described how she’s recovering from her back injury.
”It was a difficult period, and it is still going on. The restoration continues. I was offered to fly to Israel for an operation or to Germany for a survey, but we decided to stay in Russia and be treated by our doctors without surgical intervention. While everything indicates that I will continue skating.
For four years this story continues. It all began with the fact that I fell from a triple lurtz and damaged the vertebra. The diagnosis was made immediately - a compression fracture of the vertebra. After some time, MRI and X-rays were made again, which showed that the fracture really was. He does not bother, but, of course, the consequences after the fracture remained, because of what I could not skate this season.
In this season, attempts to return to the ice were, but all ended with the fact that after two weeks of training the back was again “clamped”, and I stopped skating and began to recover.
Last season I skated through the pain, on adrenaline. At the World Championships in Finland, my entire body was jammed. It was a very difficult start.
I did not go to the ice since October. Now I started to train a little, I did two trainings. On the second day I was already trying to assemble a double axel. The body remembers, it just takes time to restore the elements.“ Pogorilaya told.
Happy 20th Birthday to Satoko Miyahara! Here's to all the beautiful spins that were and will be. (3.26.18)
Adam: Nathan is at that very special age when a boy only has one thing on his mind.
Alex: Girls?
Adam: Quads.
I gotta feel for Maria Sotskova rn. From personal experience, peaking early sucks especially when you know you peaked early and you just have to finish out the season. I hope she can still stay at the top of the Russian ladies field.
Me at the beginning of this season: Ugh I can't stand Alina's back loading. I really hate all the hype she's getting.
Me now: Man, nothing but LOVE and RESPECT for my girl, Alina. She could have just sat at home with her gold and been undefeated but she still went to worlds and made herself vulnerable. Keep learning and fighting!
Me watching Wakaba
Me watching the entirety of the final group
Wakaba Higuchi did THAT!
She really just rolled out in a new dress looking like a whole new kind of snacc and then aced all her jumps. A truly flawless performance. I'm crying. James Bond is shook. The ISU is Q U A K I N G.
Me: *trying to take a test in school tomorrow*
My brain: Ne me quitte pas
All I can say about the ladies short program is Carolina Kostner is a living legend and Polina Tsurskaya should have been there.
Damn 2017 was so peak
