i see LWA fans flame wars about Akkos sexuality, using a quote form Yoh Yoshinari. people take that quote at face value, but I think he was actually meaning romance in general. it is also very contradivry when you look at the evidence in the show. according to tv tropes, akko is ambigoulsy bi. consider these points

while tehre is no romance, akko has moments that can be interptresed as romantic with BOTH Diana and Andrew, for those that wish to ship her with one or another.

she is technically boy crazy, albeit a bit subtle, about it, like when he blushes red.

3. she has canonically shows inters in boys many times in both the manga and anime.

i dislike seeing LWA fans create flame wars about Akkos sexuality and ship wars. no ship is canon, yoh has said that anybody can ship whatever they wnat and that there will be no canon romance. personally, I think she is more likely to be bi or pansexual. she has canonically show intrests in both genders. I can see her as lgbt, despite being a straight ally.
