I am going to be on a few things. Bluesky, REDnote, and anything else new I can find. YouTube, Snapchat, and anything else not owned by Meta that I am already using. I will have my website and whatever other online presence that I can create. Anything but this. The more that I think about it the easier it becomes to walk away. No point in continuing to place energy into the negative space this has become in my life. There are a lot of times when I have had simple peaceful thoughts rejected by the platform. You all have seen some of the screenshots. Simple happy birthday and good morning wishes to people rejected from sharing with others. Restrictions on my account usage. Let’s remember folks that this is my second time building a Facebook audience. So why wait around? I will be here for as long as I can, but I will also not just sit and wait for fate to happen. I am a human being, both online and in person. As far as the latter goes you are invited to reach out for personal contact. I have an address and a phone number. Ask nicely I will gladly provide you with those. As far as online, I will keep Messenger and likely Instagram until things just get out of hand. Like I mentioned before I have a whole slew of links that are away from Meta products. Give me a few and I’ll bring back MySpace or Friendster or AIM or ICQ. I know that Tumblr still works on my tablet. And being an artist you can just google me. But as far as here…. No promises of anything. I would like to be here. There are some amazing people who I have connected with throughout the years using this platform. I have enjoyed conversations with folks around the world at all hours. I have learned, shared, and grown as a person because of you all. There is also a number of folks who I don’t really see eye to eye with currently based on choices made this past election. I am giving space for things to happen. I know how I see it going, and will say that I don’t agree with the direction. I have always been a person who will respect the beliefs of others as long as they come from a place of mutual respect and good intentions. Currently I don’t know if I feel those things from many right now, at least not in this particular online space. So rather than allow allowing the negativity surrounding the decision made by voters to continue to be within my personal space, I am placing barriers between it and myself. I am silencing accounts from my social view that support the new administration. For the time that I have left using this platform, I do not wish to see or hear any of the celebrations. To me, and I think that I speak for others with this statement, your congratulations places you into condemning any crimes against humanity that either have occurred or will in the future. You are supporting hatred, even if you dress it up under the misguided names of country or religion or economic policy. So I cannot follow you down this path. If this is where we part in life, as least as far as this platform goes, then so be it. To you I will say the same thing as I now say to those left on this side of the political divide. I love you.
