the premise of this au is uhhhh

its a continuation of the bad end of ellies route following up the cliffhanger

sol is defeated, though there is still a group of surviving solarians hiding out on the now half destroyed earth

summoner is unable to be saved. ellie blames herself for their death. but she tries to do right by them by taking on more and more responsibilities*/taking on a more 'heroic'/leadership role in their stead in general

(*... in a way that is... lowkey just a way to endlessly self-punish as she spirals further and further into guilt)

and also pandora is there

#that ending always fascinated me (moreso than the actual canon good ending ever did)#and i think its cause ellie actually has like. *agency* as character in it #the way the game handles her and her ptsd always made me vaguely uncomfortable in a way i could never really articulate #it feels like it reduces her to her trauma 90% of the time #shes just this sad traumatised damsel in distress figure who needs to be saved by the (clearly written as male even if you can #technically switch their gender) main character #the two times she really Does something its still all about how she just loves mc sooo much and how shes sooo sad :(((#weh. okay rant over #crow's screeching
