Hi~ After the big shake-up on X (Twitter), I've decided that from now on I'll be posting my non-canon ship art directly on this account. I kept thinking about making a separate account for it, but honestly… that started to feel really tiring, and kind of splitting too. I don't want to have so much fun creating and still feel mentally exhausted because of it 🫠

Anyway, this is just a little heads-up for now (yes, a heads-up—since the main ships will be Qilby x Yugo & Nora x Amalia. Now I can add one more pair: Chibi x Mina.)

Randomly, what do you like about dynamic of Yugo and Qilby? I'm trying to see the appeal.

I originally thought I could use this chance to summarize what I like about their dynamic in a much shorter and more concise way, but... I realized I got a little stuck.

The main reason is that I've been shipping them and making headcanons about them for such a long time that I don't think I can really explain it in just a few sentences anymore. I just genuinely love seeing them interact. But whenever I try to explain it in detail, it starts sounding more like a character analysis than an explanation of why I like them, and that just doesn't feel quite right.

(Or maybe I'm just not very good at putting my thoughts into words. 😅)

If I had to pick one place to start, though, I'd probably go back to the very first headcanon I had about their past.

I've always imagined Yugo as the one who was constantly going out on adventures and bringing back all kinds of plants and creatures for Qilby to study. And Qilby (before the curse drove him mad) was always the one worrying that Yugo would come back from his adventures covered in injuries.

Even though they seem like complete opposites, I also think they're incredibly similar in one important way: they both share the same curiosity about exploring the unknown. That's why I've always imagined them being especially close (well, if we're not counting their dragon siblings, of course).

But because of the curse, the gap between how they saw the world kept growing wider and wider, until it finally led to the tragic war. In the end, Yugo had no choice but to seal Qilby away in the White Dimension, only to unknowingly set him free again after being reincarnated.

I absolutely love that kind of fated connection between them. 😔❤️‍🩹❤️‍🔥

Of course, that's only part of it.

At the end of the day, I just enjoy seeing the two of them together. Whether the vibe is romantic, sibling-like, that of bitter rivals, or even just the two of them being close for no particular reason—it all makes me ridiculously happy.

I think that's just how shipping can be sometimes. You simply love seeing two characters together... and maybe there doesn't even need to be a reason.

Then again, maybe I'm just not very good at putting it into words. Haha. XD

I think I need to stop being so perfectionistic about this.

I've received so many asks, and I'm really happy about them! But every time I try to answer one, my brain immediately goes: "Oh my god, I need to draw something to go with this answer!"

And then… well, the ask ends up sitting there for a VERY, VERY, VERY long time. 💀

I keep feeling like I need to make a drawing that's interesting enough or complete enough to accompany my answer, but I think I've been losing sight of the actual point: answering the asks.

Yeah, after all that, I guess I just wanted to give myself a little push to actually start answering the asks that can simply be answered with words.

Anyway, I'll probably add Aurora into the game next, too. For some reason, Armand keeps triggering conversations about romance.

Amalia: “Have you ever thought about being in love?” Armand: “Love… might be something like truffles stuck on your face…” Amalia: “I knew it. I thought it felt exactly like that too…”

Amalia: “What kind of person do you like?” Armand: “Hmm… probably someone who knows how to appreciate Grasspacho soup.”

I originally only planned to make the Eliatrope Council and Amalia in the game, but… AAAAAA NO!!! I CAN'T!!! I REALLY CAN'T!!! I don't want Amalia to be all alone, even in a peaceful, happy place like Tomodachi Life!!!! 😭😭😭 So I spent two days making the whole Sheran Sharm family.

When I saw Amalia walking around the streets by herself, all the painful stuff from canon hit me again. I felt so sad… Even though she's already happily married to Nora in the game, I still can't stand seeing her all alone like that… 😭😭😭

BTW, I also made a Tree of Life version of Amalia. I love this possessed form of hers, it's so cute 💞 She's basically just another version of Amalia, so I made them sisters in my headcanon 🥰 Also, there's a leaf head accessory in the game that fits her so well!!!

She's even singing, it's so cute 😭💞
