The one thing i hate about the Stardew valley fandom is how a lot of people demonize mental health issues. Like, Being somebody with clinical depression, PTSD and autism it really upsets me when people are mean about Shane and Kent.
They treat Hailey like she's the perfect woman because she's mean then Treat Shane like the scum of the earth for being mean as well.
I have a caffine addiction, and while it's not as horrible as having an alcohol addiction it's still an addiction that im trying to overcome and i have depression as well. So seeing people treat Shane like that, plus calling him a liar when he's not 100% happy and sober all the time it really upsets me to see how he's treated, and i don't like him because I want to fix him, its just nice to see depression portrayed so realistically and to feel represented in media and i just want to be there for him. I can relate to him, and when people insult him and treat him like the bad guy for being mean and depressed and not 100% sober i feel like im doing something wrong and I'm a bad person for having depression and anxiety
And i have PTSD over very different things then kent, but I understand things that trigger memories to events, if I see the person who mistreated me in life or if somebody mentions middle school I get really upset and will go on a rant about it, when I get so upset I get angry im brought back to those horrible memories, and I understand why hes stressed over something that seems minimal to others And people are mean about him too, hes not a bad person he's just got PTSD and he doesn't know how to handle it. I feel bad for him when the community is mean to him over that cutscene.
and these are fictional characters it makes me scared how they would treat a real human being with similar issues, like me. I joke about if you hate these characters you should hate me too but like, it really pisses me off how this community treats mental illnesses And being somebody with these issues i really just want to spread awareness on how i personally feel when people say horrible things about these clearly mentally ill characters that have issues that real people have
Mental illness isn't black and white y'know, and if you think it is i think you might wanna get your eyes checked because you might just be completely colorblind, or blind in general. the actual mental toll it puts on real people to be represented by characters who's mental illnesses are portrayed very realistically only to be treated poorly by uneducated fans of the series/game/movie/ etc. It's very heartbreaking to me personally..
I just want fans of Stardew to be more mindful of characters like shane and Kent because there are real people like them that have the same issues as them. You don't have to like them just understand that real people have been through the same things they have and be respectful of that. i mean I don't like Harvey but I am respectful of people with anxiety, I have anxiety too. I think everyone does at this point.. but i would never undermine his anxiety or say he's a horrible person Because he's anxious that's a disgusting thing to imply and it should be the same way with characters like shane and Kent but it's not that way
The double standard with shane and hailey is an argument that may just involve sexism but that's an entirely different argument that i don't wanna get into rn, but just know, you don't necessarily have to be a nice person to be a good person, and vise versa.
Tldr: you guys need to stop saying Shane and kent are bad people for having mental illnesses, it's really gross and insulting to those with mental illnesses
"I think we're all striving to reach some kind of balance in lifeâ an equilibrium of complexity. For me, moving here was exactly what my body needed to find that balance.â
During his glorious gridball days the word jealousy wasn't even in his vocabulary. It developed with time due to his self image slowly getting worse over the years.
There is no way he is going to admit or realize it even if you hit him with an advertising poster that says "YOU'RE JEALOUS".
Shane will notice a sour taste on his tongue and a painful twist in his stomach whenever he gets jealous, but he won't give that feeling a name. In his mind he is convinced that he doesn't care what you do and with who. But it's eating him alive.
But he will complain to Emily, Sam or his chickens about it.
"It really sounds like you're jealous."
"Bullshit. Your mom is jealous."
đđđ
If he hears it often enough he might admit it.
Once you're in a relationship with him he will work on himself though and will actually be less territorial. Because you chose him for a reason right? You don't seem like someone he can't trust being alone with certain pretty people.
But he still side eyes those people and feel free to tell him when he crosses a line with his possessive behavior.
I mean he won't lock you inside a cage or not let you hang out with other people. What he can and will do is be grumpy and upset about it.
"They're obviously interested."
"They just asked for directions."
"That was just a distraction."
"Shane, they didn't even ask for my number."
"You could see it in their eyes, they-"
"They literally just wanted the directions."
"Until they don't!"
He KNOWS he has nothing to worry about and that he can 100% trust you, but he is also convinced that you deserve a better partner.
But as I said tell him when he goes to far and he will immediately hit the breaks.
He will get less jealous throughout the relationship with his own hard work and your support.
You sometimes still spot a frown and glare here and there and when someone the both of you don't know hits on you he's RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE
"Oh wow hello DARLING."
"Love of my life."
"The yee to my haw."
"The center of my world."
"The light of my existence."
This is effective because 1) the person quietly leaves since this is too cringe to witness and 2) he loves embarrassing you (on a non-extreme level of course, everything here is all fun and games)
But if you do the same to him with these petnames he can and will make LOUD gagging sounds.
Hello, Can I request Shane, Harvey and Elliott (separately) with a Cocky M! Reader who likes to tease them.

I was literally just replying the game again recently and I married Elliott, he's so fkin sweet it kills me. Maybe I'm just a big sap tbh
Various X Cocky Male Reader Headcanons
Partner who likes to tease them
Shane
âľ He hates it. Okay, no he doesn't, but he does at first.
âľ Shane is the only person in Pelican town who doesn't care about the new farmer, and of course he's the only one the new farmer wants to talk to.
âľ "Workin' hard or hardly workin'?" You'd say without fail every time you were in the saloon together, before you bought him a drink.
âľ Shane tells you to stop, and eventually you do. And then he realizes that he didn't want you to stop, so he tries to figure out how to say that he didn't mind your teasing.
âľ You give him a basket of hot peppers as a gift. He drops one of them. You say "This is why we can't have nice things, Shane!" with that grin on your face. He can't help but grin back.
âľ Then he notices the bouquet stashed inside. Your teasing is even more endearing when you're in an actual relationship, even if it is still slightly annoying. It's one of your charms.
âľ You drink together one night, new years eve. It doesn't hurt to treat yourself every once in a while, though you've clearly never handled alcohol well. Shane has to carry you home, and the whole time you're babbling about where you two should go for your honeymoon.
âľ You're not even engaged, but he's too drunk to argue. Shane stays the night in your place, and your cat sleeps on top of him. He wakes up first with a throbbing headache, and decides that laying on the cold floor is better than on a bed or sofa.
âľ He's amazed that you get up to do farm work, and even stop to make him a coffee. You may be hungover as hell, but you're dedicated.
âľ "You look like hell," He quips, and you laugh. "Thanks, it's natural." Shane kind of regrets being so cold to you... At least you're patient, even if you are a bit of a bastard.
Elliott
âľ An artist with no muse is hardly an artist. That's what he thinks, anyways, as he goes over his writing notes a thousand times. He meets you on the bridge to the beach.
âľ He mispronounces his own name. He'd been reading a few seconds prior, so he repeats the last words on his mind, while trying to say his name. He calls himself Ellie. You laugh. "Nice to meet you, Ellie. That's my new permanent nickname for you."
âľ Elliott is only monetarily annoyed. Then he realizes he's completely enamored by your little mischievous smile, staring at where you were a few seconds ago even after you leave.
âľ "You're cute when you're focused." You say one day, when he'd invited you into his cabin to wait out the rain. "You crinkle your nose when you're thinking hard."
âľ He hadn't even realized. Wait, had you called him cute? He can hardly focus on his work now, damn you!
âľ He's in Pierre's shop buying a bouquet the same day you are, and you tease him for not making plans with you so you could've coordinated better. Your first date was properly coordinated.
âľ Elliott takes you out on his newly repaired boat, and drops one of the oars into the water by the dock. It's fairly easy to fish out, but of course he's never going to hear the end of it.
âľ "Butterfingers," You click your tongue in mock disapproval.
âľ He rolls his eyes back at you.
âľ Elliott has never been so inspired before - he finishes his book within the year, and of course one of the main characters has your cockiness. You're his new muse. A muse covered in dirt that brings him fresh pomegranates and the occasional feather.
Harvey
âľ You call him "Doc" even after he introduces himself to you. He doesn't really mind, a lot of people do. Being a farmer, you're one of his more frequent patients.
âľ "Give it to me straight, doc, am I gonna live?" You ask one time as he bandages your arm. You'd been attacked by one of your chickens. Harvey only snorts.
âľ Harvey is just happy to see you unhurt, not only because you stop by every so often to bring him a coffee. He likes coffee.
âľ "You're such a nerd," You tease at one point, but he's not bothered. Somehow, you've wormed your way into his heart with your... Natural charm.
âľ Harvey comes downstairs one evening to a bouquet of flowers on the front counter, along with a jar of pickled vegetables and a card. He knows who it's from, he knows your handwriting. He sends you a thank you letter, one that details all his feelings for you.
âľ You tell him the very next day it's currently pinned to your fridge. He's embarrassed. You can tell.
âľ Despite your habit of teasing him, you never pick on his failed pilot dreams. He appreciates it.
âľ You ask him to talk about things he likes. He rambles on for a very long time, and you're clearly happy to listen even if you don't understand. You call him an adorable dork with nothing but affection in your voice.
âľ Harvey briefly worries that he might faint.
âľ At least you're strong enough to catch him.
I always choose the orange cat in Stardew sorry dog lovers
Elliott calling me his wonderful man really transes my gender. Also Harvey telling me I look handsome
Stardew valley shane hugging his partner head-canons <3!
One of my bestest bezzos helped me write this (big up my little loser/pos)
Shane loves giving his lover hugs by wrapping his arm around their shoulders, and pulling them in!
He doesnât really care if people think heâs being wierd or pda because in his mind, hugging his partner to make himself feel better is way better than the other alternatives.
Although he use to only hug you when you two where alone (just because he was worried that it would hurt your reputation)
Heâs now gotten more comfortable expressing heâs feelings in public!
he also gets a kick out of it when the player is all flustered and squished up against his coat
Shane also gives proper bear hugs, he just pulls you in close and gives you a proper big squeeze!
He will also pick you up during hugs whenever heâs really happy like say the tunnellers won the gridball game and he just wooshes you up into the air with joy!
He also likes to kiss the farmers head while they hug he finds it really cute :)
Whenever he does get drunk, he will occasionally tickle you mid hug
He finds it so funny especially if you lecture him for it
Nearly forgot this one lmao! But you canât tell me he wonât tickle you with his chin stubble! Cheeky sod him Xx
Ima sick as fuck rn so have some sdv Harvey x GN!reader head cannons.
- Harvey MELTS at really any touch you give him. Just holding his hand will make him a beet red mess.
- He really needs morning kisses, even if he's half asleep and won't remember it. He will not let you leave without getting one.
- Sometimes he'll see you go past the clinic on his work days, he'll think something likeÂ
"They're so lovely⌠OH YOBA THAT'S MY SPOUSE!!!"
He will continue to make the dorkiest smile for hours.
- He loves you more than anything, and actively tells you that. One time he was watching you cook and he just said
"You know⌠I'm kinda happy I never got to be a pilot now, if I was one I never would have met you. I don't know what I would do without you, I can't imagine a life without you anymore"Â
You cried about it, and wouldn't let him go all night. He started saying more stuff like that after.
- He really loves it when you sit on his lap (it doesn't have you be sexual) Harvey just adores feeling your body weight against him.
-He's a big chubby guy so he constantly asks if he's too big or heavy if he's laying on you. (The answer is always no he gets all the snuggles he wants >:{ )
- If you're not in bed with him he will have problems getting to sleep. Both from the lack of you, and his anxiety (God forbid told him you were going to the mines before you left)
This leads to him falling asleep on the couch consistently because he's waiting for you (please tell him it's bad for his back)
- Massive snuggler, he doesn't care what position as long as he can feel you against him (he really loves lying his head on your chest though. Or being tucked under your chin)Â
- Bounces on his heels when he's excited ( I don't have any more context for this, it's just a really cute :) )
- The MOST excited bachelor when it comes to children. He's always wanted them but he never thought he'd get the chance to have any before meeting you. If you love kids as much as him he will be absolutely ecstatic.
- He absolutely despises horror movies but I'll watch them with you if you like them. ( Will jump into your arms at any jumpscare please be ready to hold him)
- Please show up at the clinic at any point in his work day, it will make his day so much better.
- He's just got the vibe of this big old teddy bear
alex doesn't mean to brag â but heâs pretty positive you couldnât be interested in anybody else, especially with him around. youâve always been so kind, even when he was a jerk at first, youâre supporting his dreams and complimenting him â it all makes his heart race. and, yoba, it doesnât help when george starts to somehow warm up to you, youâre just so kind. too kind â itâs a curse. everyone just seems to be drawn to you, even haley starts talking about how pretty you are. itâs just a little funny to him, knowing how much everyone is practically drooling over you, but youâre his, clearly. and while, no alex doesnât gossip, but do you really think you could be with a girl who complains when youâve gotten all dirty from your job? and donât even get him started on that nasty smoker â if it came to worst, alex would never fail at protecting you as everyone else would. and if he has to force things to be that way, then donât be surprised when some of your little â friends â are nowhere to be found ... maybe they just moved to the city like they always talked about wanting! donât worry, alex could never leave you behind just like that!
a hopeless romantic at heart, elliott canât help but swoon over you when your relationship begins to develop. he stays up late in the night writing about you â romance is your favorite genre, huh? well, itâs his too! youâve got such great ideas, elliot could listen to them all day. just donât bring up how similar the love interest is to you, he just took a little ... inspiration! from how lovely you are! can you blame him? but, like alex, he sees it as a bit of misfortune, you canât help but lead all these others on due to such! heâs begun to talk leahâs ears off because of how in love he is! elliot just canât help these feelings of his, he wishes he could express them to you, but even he is too shy for such! even from afar, youâre still so beautiful, he doesnât mind if others would find watching you work in the dirt and pull flowers â boring â nothing you do could drive him away. he wonders if youâve gotten all of his letters. the next time you visit his cabin, heâs not sure heâll be able to let you leave. donât blame him â elliot canât control how much he adores you.
harvey canât help but turn bright red whenever itâs your check-up day, his face much too close for comfort, hand holding the stethoscope thatâs slid under your shirt â for once, heâs glad to hold the burden of â doctor â given itâs made it so easy to be up close with you. he feels like he could almost pass away when you bring it up, pressing your palm against his forehead, his heart thumping in his ears, almost louder than your voice â youâre no good for harveyâs health at all, your cheeky grins and teasing comments so easily swooning him, youâve gotten him all flustered. but he hates knowing that heâs nothing special to you, just your town doctor and friend, and youâve become quite cozied up to everyone else as well. he wishes he could be the voice that speaks over the rest, the face within the crowd you run to first. maybe itâd be easier if everyone else just disappeared.
falling too hard and fast, sam swears heâs loved you ever since you showed up in town! heâs probably the nicest guy youâll ever meet, you canât help but feel a little special with the way he treats you â jodi always looks so gushed whenever you come around! though he knows better than to assume, his heart is playing the strings of love and making him believe you see him as much more than a friend. you do talk to him every day, stopping by his work and home even if youâve clearly been busy, making time to come watch him practice and play ... youâve just gotta like him too, right? he feels every bit of his body tense when vince starts saying about how much sam talks about you, even when jodi hushes him, it doesnât bring the awkwardness down. well, sam guesses now is a better time than ever to just come out and say it himself â youâll go out with him, right? vincent was just adding on how much heâd love to have his other big sibling around more! itâd be nice to have someone there to fill the void of kent.
only the lord knows how you managed to worm your way into sebastianâs every thought even after how hard heâs tried to make you stay away. but the more heâs tried, the closer youâve gotten to his heart, and he canât lie â sebastianâs started to like the way you come cozy up to him, treating all his little affections as nonchalant friendship touches, not thinking twice when heâs installing a new program onto your phone or tinkering with your farm computer â he knows all about this stuff anyways! whatâs yours is his, thatâs what friends are for! he just canât help but smirk whenever he sees samâs pale and abbyâs irked faces, he knows they wish you were this comfortable with them too, but they have no clue what youâve got going on. theyâd be jealous if they knew. youâve got a special kind of connection with sebas, so just let your heart lead the way into his arms â you donât need anybody else.
shane knows heâs nothing special, yet he canât help but seek you out late in the night â youâve .. just been so considerate when it comes to him, even with his attitude. you didnât choose to push him away and ignore him as he did to you. shane can tell youâre special, a one-of-a-kind type of person, and yoba would he be even dumber not taking a chance than he is thinking you could ever love someone so pathetic. even jas has grown to love you, shane can see the way her eyes light up when you come around, and heâd do absolutely anything to keep her that happy forever. heâs got a couple of rough edges, and, incredibly, you havenât been pushed away even after seeing thereâs nothing else to him â he just canât help but feel like youâve got to like him back, even just a little bit ... right?
Current hyper fixation that isnât stardew: Japan Rural Life Adventure on my iPad. Canât seem to find a meaty game guide so I guess Iâll start one for myself somewhat pls donât mind me, but also if you love stardew and can hear me talking at myself you should maybe try this game it has pretty (albeit repetitive) music, slower paced than stardew, cute doggie, and is doing a great job of keeping my mind off bad life things đ
I know you said you might do this anyway, but what were the bachelorette's first impressions of the farmer? how did they all fall in love with them?
I had so many thoughts about this, and even though I cut out quite a bitâyes, it was worse than thisâtheyâre still big. I actually had to rework the format because tumblr literally would not let me post the fucking text wall that was Maru's part, and then I couldn't have her part be formatted differently because that drove me insane. Jesus. Writing for Emily is still a little unfamiliar to me, and I think it reflects in my writing a little bit, but I hope I did her justice.
Bulleted format. Scattered dialogue, self-doubt, and a little bit of thirst(Leah's fault, not mine), but mostly fluff. Mentions of injuries, blood, and the farmer being a reckless dumbass. Not proofread, please excuse any mistakes, my English isnât great. Some of them include a bouquet, others do not. I stuck to canon for most of them, but I gotta be honest, sometimes my imagination is just so much more fun. Enjoy <3
Maru
Maru is extremely excited to meet you
Those farmlands have been sitting there for years, wasting away and falling apart with no one to care for them, and as a little girl she absolutely loved your grandpa
She was always interested in agriculture, and watching him work was never anything but interesting to her
She was heartbroken when he passed away, but because the farm belonged to your family after that, and there was a strict âno trespassingâ rule, she never got to visit
She could stand outside the gate, looking over the slowly deteriorating land, but never ever did she hop the fence
So the idea of the farmlands opening back up was a dream come true for herâthe fact that someone was finally going to start caring for the land again filled her with so much joy
When she does finally meet you, that joy is confounded with curiosity
She can admit readily that sheâs attracted to you, but she doesnât get many opportunities to speak to you after the initial introductions, so it doesnât go much deeper than that
Youâre always so busy, and she doesnât want to bother you, lest she distract you from your chores or responsibilities
But sometimes, youâll come into town for your errands, and watching you flitting around with so much on your plate makes her hopeful for the future of the valley
She knows that your grandfather must be resting easy now, with the farm in your capable hands
Honestly, at first she thought you might fix up the farm enough to sell the land and make a dollar off of it, and then bounce
Sheâs relieved to know that youâre not doing that
And the more buildings you commission from Robin, the more excited she gets
Thereâs one time when she goes on a walk to take a break from a frustrating problem with one of her machines, and she ends up at the northern entrance of your farm
Itâs greater than it ever was under your grandfather
The fields are full, thereâs animal pens bursting with life, and youâre standing a little ways off, feeding your horse
You notice her, sensing her stare, and sheâs terribly embarrassed at showing up without any invitation or warningâeven if it was unintentional
But you grin, happy for the company, and usher her onto your property
She flicks open the gate, and the moment her feet touch the ground beyond the fence, sheâs teleported back to her time as a toddler, when she would chase the chickens and watch your grandfather work
Youâve heard how close she was with him, and how much she looked up to him, so when she starts tearing up looking around the property, you lead her to your grandfatherâs shrine
She kneels in front of the stone, holding her breath still in her chest to keep from sobbing
Sheâd never been able to visit the headstone before that moment, and seeing his name carved into the dark stone broke her heart
You give her permission to visit the farm whenever she likes, even when youâre not home, if ever she wants to visit him or take a break from everything
The farm is peaceful and beautiful, and she takes you up on the offer with a wet smile
She starts visiting frequently after that, more often when she knows youâre home, but sometimes when youâre not
One day in particular comes to mind: youâd run off to the desert for the day, for one reason or another
She spent the day pacing around the farm, and while she was watching the animals disappear into their pens as the sun crept below the mountains, there was an otherworldly whirring sound by your home
She investigated, and when she spotted you behind your farmhouse, she almost fell apart right then and there
Your body was bruised, and there were shallow cuts in your skin where your clothes were tornâmost of them looked like claw marks, but there were also pieces of your clothing and hair that were dark and ashy, like youâd been singed by flames
You caught sight of her, and the relieved smile on your face was like nothing sheâs ever seen before
She couldnât stand to see the farm fall apart againâthat was what she told herself, anyway, as she helped you into the farmhouse with a hand around your hip, fully supporting you as you trudged up the front steps
You collapse on the couch, too exhausted and sore to walk up the stairs to your bedroom
She does her best with what limited first aid supplies you have, and thankfully your injuries arenât terrible, so she manages it well enough
But sheâs terrified, though she knows that the likelihood of you dying on your couch is slim to none
While sheâs bandaging a cut on your cheek, you realize that her hands are shaking terribly
Carefully, you reach up to hold her wrist, and she stops short
The air between you is charged with something new as you lock eyes
It clicks for her then
But sheâs afraid that if it isnât reciprocated, youâll stop letting her visit your grandfather and the farm, so she keeps that firmly to herself when you ask if sheâs alright
She reassures you that sheâs fine, just a little shaken, and that sheâll feel better if you let her finish
She stays over that night, keeping an eye on you from the other couch as you sleepâjust for her peace of mind
You wake up and youâre a little better, but she still walks you down to the clinic in the morning for Harvey to properly look you over and treat you
Her dad gives her a lot of shit for spending the night at your place, but sheâs confident in her choice and doesnât regret it, not with your injuries treated properly and your chipper smile flashing in the sunlight as you walk through the square a few days later
Itâs a little tense with her father for a while afterward, but sheâs not having any of it and is quick to shut him down whenever he tries to scold herâshe might have his brains, but she got her motherâs spirit
You feel like shit for putting her through all of that though, and so you stay away from the caverns unless itâs strictly necessary
When it is necessary, you take a lot of food and warp totems with you, just in caseâand staircases. Loooots of staircases
Sheâs grateful for that, but doesnât know how much until a long while later
Itâs not your faultâit was a misunderstanding
Her parents mentioned you on Friday after they got home from date night at Stardrop, and her whole world came crashing down
They told her that you looked terrible, and that you mentioned spending the day in the desert
she was out the door a moment later
Maru sprinted the whole way down to town square, praying you were still at the saloon, and when she busted through the door, you were perched at the bar with a pint in your hand
At the sound of someone nearly crashing through the front door, you lifted up your head, and she really wished her parents could be more specific
You do look terrible, but not because youâre in bad shapeâyouâve just got a nasty sunburn and the most horrendous bags under your eyes
Everyone is staring at her, because she never goes to the saloon, but she doesnât care
Sheâs so grateful that youâre okay, albeit a little tired
You recognize the look on her face, pay for your tab without bothering to finish your drink, and pull her right back out the door
You walk her home, gently explaining that no, you did not go into the caverns today, you only went to the desert to pick up things from Sandyâs shop and for some âexotic foraging,â for lack of better phrasing, and the sun just took it out of you
You donât owe her an explanation, itâs none of her business what you get up to, she says, but you shut that down with a hard look, stopping still in the middle of the path to her home
She canât meet your eyes for fear of you seeing right through her
Her worry, her fear, her paranoia and the wild look in her eyes when she spotted you at the bar was all too honest
Thereâs more there, and sheâs terrified that youâve figured it out
âYou want it to be your business though, donât you?â
She bites her lip hard, trying not to cry now that she knows sheâs been found out
She nods, and then your hand is circling her wrist, and youâre pulling her into your chest
âI want it to be your business too.â
And if you feel her tears drip onto your clothed shoulder, you donât mention it
Penny
Penny stopped in her tracks the first time she saw you
It was a few days after youâd arrived in Pelican Town, maybe the third or the fourth of Spring
She was dropping Jas off at home when she saw you chopping down trees in Cindersap with a worse-for-wear knapsack slung diagonally over your shoulders, stuffed full with wood and fiber
You were sweating, and panting, and part of her was concerned for your wellbeing, because in that moment she was sure youâd collapse right in the grass beside your ax
But then you wiped the sweat off of your forehead and felled a giant pine tree, in no time at all
She was going to stare some more, but then Jas yanked on Pennyâs arm and asked her to walk her inside
Penny only barely managed to tear her gaze away from you to take Jas inside and drop her off
Sheâs not totally proud of it, and Marnie still teases her for it a little bit, but she rushed through dropping Jas off and was a little short with both of them in her eagerness to get back outsideâbut not to talk to you. Oh, no.
She was much too shy to do that
But she wanted to see you one more time before you left
Unfortunately by the time she escaped Marnieâs questioning stare, and all but tumbled out of the front door in her rush, you were already packed up and gone
You didnât go to the egg festival (you were broke, and probably forgot about it in favor of clearing your farmlands)
The next time she got to take a look at youâa proper look, this timeâwas at the flower dance
You were walking around the meadow, introducing yourself to some, and familiarly greeting others
And when you introduced yourself to her, she nearly forgot her own name as you shook her hand
It had been four weeks since you moved to town, and your hands were calloused from the farm work youâd been busting your ass at since you arrived
But that was the only rough part about you
Everything else was soft and kind, and the way you said her name made butterflies erupt in her stomach
And the smile you gave her afterward was so pretty
She couldnât forget the way your eyes crinkled at the edges as you bid her good luck during the dance and went on your way
And from then on, it felt like she was seeing you everywhere
Hearing about you from the other townsfolk, catching sight of you walking through town at least twice a day, and even getting a few opportunities to talk with you herself
And then her tiff with George happened, and she swears no one had ever been so quick to defend herâshe was a little starstruck when you smiled softly at her after he was gone, and reassured her that what she did was kind and good-intended
You were always smiling at her like that, heartbreakingly gentle
When she apologized for the way her mom shouted at you after trying to help clean their trailer, when you ate her poor attempt at stir-fry without complaint, and especially when you showed up during her field trip with the kids in Cindersap
Clearly just out of the fields, dirt on your knees and mud on your boots, with the most breathtaking glitter in your eyes
Your skin was flushed from exertion, and sheâs never seen anyone look attractive while sweating, yet there you stood, backlit by the early afternoon sun
And watching you interact with the kids was the cherry on top
Sheâs always wanted a big family, but no one in Pelican Town ever seemed like a good match for herânot in the long run, anyway
But she thinks youâre kind, and safe, and you have a natural energy that makes you easy to get along with
Sheâs well aware that she likes you, but sheâs used to things not going her way, or being taken from her, so she resigns herself to an eternity of pining after you
She tries not to fantasize too much, because itâs a little embarrassing, and it hurts a little, but sometimes she canât help but imagine what you might look like with a child bouncing on your hip
What youâd like for breakfastâhow youâd like your eggs in the morning
She thinks about what domestic life with you would be like constantly
Shortly after Robin builds Penny and Pam their house, you show up on her doorstep
You asked Robin to keep it a secret, of course, so Penny doesnât know it was you and still doesnât
But she invites you in, too excited to show you everything to notice the stunning array of flowers clutched tightly behind your back
She insists on showing you around, and letting you check everything out
You both step into the kitchen, and sheâs gesturing grandly at the dining space, practically squealing over the hand-embroidered tablecloth Granny Evelyn gave them as a housewarming gift
She spins around. âSo? What do you think?â
And thatâs when you finally reveal the bouquet behind your back
âI think these might look good on the table.â
She thinks youâre being kind, or that maybe you donât know what those bouquets are for, because thereâs just no way, right?
âOh!âIâm sure we have a vase for these somewhere, just let meââ
You stop her with a careful hand on her wrist, barely gripping just in case youâve read it all wrong and she wants to get away from you
âPenny. Do you⌠know what Iâm asking you?â
And she does, but sheâs in disbelief. Thereâs no way youâd want her too, right?Â
And now that she thinks about it, she couldâve sworn you were interested in Haley or Abigail, because, you know, obviously theyâre both really pretty, but Haleyâs family has money, and Abigailâs so much cooler than herâ
âIf I wanted them, would I be here, giving a bouquet to you?â
After you leaveâbecause as romantic as you are, youâre still a busy person running a farm all by yourselfâshe puts the flowers on the table with the dopiest grin on her face
She flops into her bed and squeals into her pillow, the fluttering in her chest so strong she swears she could float away
She has trouble falling asleep that night, too busy thinking of your smile as she stares at the ceiling fan
Abigail
Sheâs determined to dislike you from the get-go no wonder her and Seb are friends
When she finally sees you, during an early spring trip to Pierreâs, she takes the sudden drop in her stomach as a sign that youâre bad news
Then you beat her at the egg hunt, and sheâs in a sour mood for days
she will straight up refuse to leave her room if she knows youâre in the shop
Wednesday is her favorite day of the week, because she wonât have to see you
But of course you have the audacity to show up when sheâs only just managed to get out of helping her mom with dinner
Sheâs getting her ass kicked in JotPK when you knock on her bedroom door
She doesnât know why the hell youâre bothering her, and sheâs suddenly embarrassed that you caught her right as she died, but then she gets an idea
She asks you to play in the hopes that youâre terrible at it so at least sheâll finally have proof that youâre not good at everything or perfect all the time
She half-hopes you say no, but then youâre sitting down and reaching for a controller, so sheâs stuck with you
You make it past the first level without dying, while she gets killed within the first thirty seconds, because of fucking course
Sheâs halfway through thinking up a snarky barb when her mom calls for her
You set the controller down and smile at her, and then youâre reaching into your pocket
âI came over to give this to you. I found it in the mines, and it reminded me of you.â
You hand her the most opaque, gorgeous raw amethyst sheâs ever seen
She has half a mind to ask why on earth youâd think about her, but then her mother is calling her again, more urgently the second time around, and youâre walking out within seconds
She stares at the amethyst for what feels like forever that night, thinking
She doesnât get the opportunity to properly speak to you again until a week later
Itâs raining, and sheâs playing her flute, just basking in the whimsy feeling of the valleyÂ
She opens her eyes after a particularly long note to find you standing a few feet off, your fishing rod in hand
The rain is soaking you to the bone, with some of your hair stuck to the delicate skin of your throat, and she short-circuits
Her gut reaction is to get defensive and ask you what youâre doing, but you handle it with grace
You ask her what she was doing, and when she says she wanted to spend time alone, the recognition on your face is palpable
You nod, adjusting the strap of your backpack on your shoulder, but she stops you, saying some bullshit about how she doesnât mind your company
Hasnât she minded your company since you first showed up? Why is she lying??
But the surprise and hesitance clear on your face makes her feel⌠not nice
So she scoots over, gesturing vaguely to the space beside her
âYouâre getting soaked. Come stand under the tree.â
What progress you made with her is quickly dashed when you pull out the mini harpâbecause why wouldnât you also play an instrument?Â
Sheâs always been competitive, but she doesnât understand why sheâs so desperate to have something over you
Hearing about your trips in the mines from the other townies doesnât help
Knowing you have the freedom to go wherever you like without any overbearing, old-school parents breathing down your neck, and the fact that youâre apparently in good standing with the two adventurers up at the guild, who speak to basically no one else?
One night her self-worth is particularly bad, and she runs off to the graveyard for some peace and quiet
Her dad is getting on her ass about âacting like a ladyâ more than usual and itâs been driving her up the wall
It rubs her the wrong way how no one bats an eye at the things you get up to, but everyoneâs always getting on her case about acting âproperâ
And of course you show up that night, too
Right in the middle of her break between drills, while sheâs heaving and guzzling water
You appear out of seemingly nowhere, and the shriek she lets out is so fucking embarrassing
You donât laugh at her for that, but she does see the mirth in your eyes when she says she was practicing her swordsmanship
As if the thought of her swinging a sword around is so funny to you
She snaps something about that, but then her entire world flips on its axis when you chuckle good-naturedly and make a joke about how pissy it must make Pierre, what with his old, dated-ass values
And then you ask if sheâd ever like to practice with youââI could use a sparring partner anywayâ
And obviously Pierre catches you chatting in front of the headstones and nearly pops a blood vessel, and sheâs irritated that you had to see them like that, but sheâs caught totally off guard when you back her up and laugh at Pierreâs expense
âI know heâs your dad and all, so no disrespect to him, but fucking hell, the stick up his ass is massiveâ
That lightens her mood a bit, knowing that she has at least one more person who acknowledges that her parents are overbearing sometimes
Unfortunately for your patience, it takes a long time and a few sparring sessions before everything clicks into place for her
In the thick, humid heat of summer, she finally gets you down, her wooden sword pressed just below your jugular
The golden afternoon sunlight bounces off the sweat on your face, and it makes you glow beneath her
You give her a breathless smile, with an eager and impressed shimmer in your eyes, and suddenly, she understands
Every moment since you stepped off of the bus, sheâs been pining after you
Desperate to have something over you, not because she wants to be better than you, per se, but because she wants to impress you
She cuts the session short, not glancing behind her even once as she all but sprints away from the farmlands
Once sheâs home, she rushes into her room and locks herself inside, her face beet-red and sweaty from the run, and from you
The amethyst you gave her so long since on her night stand, mocking her with its deep purple glow
And oh, she is so fucked.
Haley
She doesnât share in the enthusiasm everyone has about you, and she honestly doesnât really care that youâve moved in
She has no interest in making friends with youâyouâre always covered in dirt and sweat and she thinks itâs really strange gross
After you take Emilyâs side over the couch cushions, sheâs pretty bratty for a bit, and is convinced you have a crush on Emily in order to side with her
But if you give it a few weeks, she accepts that maybe thatâs not true, given that your interactions with Emily donât seem more than platonic
But thereâs this one time, where youâre over to drop off some cloth or something, and sheâs struggling with a jar in the kitchen
You open it for her without question, and when your hands brush against each other when you hand the jar back, Haleyâs skin tingles
But then Emily is there and youâre leaving, so she doesnât bother examining it further, content to move on with her life
That plan comes crashing down rather quickly though
A few weeks later while taking pictures at the beach, she notices her wrist is uncharacteristically barren
Immediate panic swells in her chest, and she spends thirty minutes pacing over the tiny dunes looking for her great-grandmotherâs bracelet, not even caring when sand spills into her shoes and starts rubbing against her skin uncomfortably
Sheâs close to tears, paranoid and jerking her head this way and that at the slightest glimmer in the sand
Those thirty minutes pass, and sheâs not found anything, and her tears start flowing freely
âHaley?â
She spins around, and sees you
She knows how eager you are to help everyone in townâyouâre helping to fix up the old community center, all of the museumâs donation placards have your name on them, and every board request outside of Pierreâs rarely goes unanswered
Besides, youâve helped George and Shane before, and surely sheâs not as grouchy as they are, so maybe youâd be willing to help her, too?
She calls you over, and you immediately rush over at her tone
The concern on your face is enough to make a wave of fresh tears push forward, but she blinks them back desperately
Your hands are on her shoulders, squeezing softly as she tries not to cryÂ
She resigns herself to never seeing her grandmotherâs bracelet again, when your hands are leaving her skin
She feels cold immediately, even with the sun beating down on her neck
But then you start walking around, hunting for her lost jewelry with a focus unlike anything sheâs ever seen, and the thought of you helping her when sheâs been basically nothing but unkind makes her feel awful
Her tears get a new kick to them, clogging up her chest and making her sick to her stomach, when youâre calling out from across the beach
You rush over from Elliottâs shack, and she sees her bracelet glittering between your fingers as you hold it outÂ
âIs this it?â
She doesnât bother with a verbal response, grabbing the bracelet tightly in her own hand and flinging her arms around your shoulders to hug you close
She doesnât think sheâs imagining the blush on your face as you help her put the bracelet back on, and the way you hold her wrist before pulling away makes her burn
After that moment, sheâs always noticing things about you
The little things you do that show how much you care for other people, how kind and compassionate you areâthe way you have everyone wrapped around your finger, and you donât even know it
She knows thatâs not true, thoughâshe knows that you can tell the effect you have on people, but sheâs struck dumb by the fact that you never use that against them
Youâre never manipulative, never inconsiderate, never anything but good and kind and sheâs so fucking insecure because sheâs always been bratty and selfish and shallow and thereâs no way someone like you would ever like her backâOh.
She wants you, but doesnât think she deserves to, given how she treats people
Sheâs never really been one to wallow, though, so she springs to action immediately
She goes through her closet and donates half of her wardrobe, she starts doing her part to keep the house tidy, she smiles and waves at anyone she passes in townâsheâs even started hanging out with Emily, and sheâs having fun
After a few weeks, she realizes that now sheâs motivated more by her relationships flourishing, instead of trying to impress you
But she can tell itâs making a difference with you, too, and thatâs a nice plus
Especially when youâre both standing in Marnieâs pens, taking pictures with the cows, and youâre so gentle with her after she gets bucked off
You insist on walking her home, carrying her camera equipment for her and watching her closely for any discomfort or limping
Sheâs never felt so cared for, and she canât think of anything else while sheâs washing the mud off of herself
But you donât ask her out until a little while later, probably sometime in Winter 2
You go into her house, and Emily sees the bouquet first, immediately knowing what itâs for and all but shoving you in the direction of the kitchen
Haleyâs standing at the counter, making herself some peppermint coffee in her sleep clothes yes iâm bitter itâs not an in game item shut up, and maybe itâs not as romantic as you wanted it to be, but she just looks so cute and cozy that you ask anyway
She says yes, of course, and she canât stop smiling long enough to drink her coffee, even after youâre gone and the flowers are sitting proudly on her vanity
Leah
Leahâs world isnât really affected all that much when you show up in Pelican Town
Sheâs excited to see what you do with the farmlands, and she wouldnât be opposed to having another friend besides Elliott, but sheâs not going to bust her ass to make friends with you
Sheâs got bills to pay on an artistâs salary, and her days are filled with foraging and working on her art, so she busy
But the first time she meets you is when sheâs walking to the spring onion patch for some late morning foraging
When she arrives, sheâs disappointed to find that youâre already there, yanking the last of the spring onions out of the ground
Most of her money goes into paying her bills, so her diet mainly consists of food sheâs foraged in Cindersap or around the valley
She depends a little too heavily on the onions during spring, so if thereâs someone else in the valley who forages for food besides Linus, sheâs got to rework her schedule to make sure she gets enough to eat
Sheâs in the middle of asking what you did before moving to Pelican Town when you pull a face and start digging through your bag
And then youâre dropping five of the largest ones into her basket
Sheâs surprised by it, and her gut reaction is to tell you âoh, you didnât have to do that, I couldâve found something elseââbut youâre not having any of it
Youâre waving goodbye and traipsing off towards the tower, the sun beating down and making you gleam like gold
She shakes it off and walks home, caught off guard by how readily kind you are to someone you only just met
And your kindness doesnât stop there
Sometimes she doesnât have time between her art projects to go look for anything in Cindersap, so you take it upon yourself to get things for her too
And the only reason you overhear her heated phone conversation with Kel is because youâre dropping off forage for her
She starts doing the same for you, when your farm really takes off
Sheâs blown away by how much progress youâve made, and sheâs honestly a little jealous, but she canât find it in herself to be bitter because youâre so wonderful all the time
Someone like you deserves a nice life like that, you know?
Sheâs inspired by you and your kindness, so much that she carves a sculpture for you
She doesnât realize she has feelings for you when you display her sculpture on your porch, even though the feeling in her chest is overwhelming and fluttery
The moment she pieces everything together, itâs your fault
Sheâs trying to reach a fruit high up in the cherry blossom tree, already breathless from her continued efforts, when you appear out of thin air and scare the living daylights out of her
She looks up at the fruit longingly, and maybe if she jumps off of the trunk she can reach a little higherâ
You lift her up like she weighs nothing, smiling kindly as she looks down at you in surprise
Sheâs sitting on your shoulder, your hands supporting her under her boots, and she plucks the fruit from the branch with a few twists
You let her down, snorting dryly when she comments on your strength, and she quickly uses her whittling knife to carve off a piece of the fruit for you
She holds it out for you to take, but you glance down at your hands with a frown
You got dirt on them from her shoes when you lifted her up, and youâre not totally jazzed at the idea of eating mud and dirt with your fruit
She thinks maybe youâll stick your hands in the pond to rinse them off, but nope.
She blushes furiously when you lean forward and take the fruit into your mouth, straight out of her hand
Your lips brush her fingertips, and she gasps at the contact
You swallow and smile, and then youâre shrugging your backpack on and walking away like you totally didnât just flip her world upside down and turn it inside out
Itâs all she can think about from then on, no matter what youâre talking about or how brief your interactions are
She tries her best not to let it show, but itâs hard when youâre all she can think about, and all she wants to do is kiss those god awful lips of yours
She invites you to her art show in town, and you show up all dressed up for the occasion, with a glitter in your eyes sheâs never seen before
Encouraging her once again, and for fucksâ sake would you please stop looking at her like that???? Sheâs about to give a speech to the whole town, sheâs already nervous!
The show goes wellâher sculptures were all sold, and Mayor Lewis even commissioned her for a Pelican Statue to put in the town square
Lifeâs going better than it has in a long time; her bills will be paid, and her confidence is through the roof
Youâre walking her home after the show when you daringly thread your hands together
She looks at you in surprise, transfixed by the steady blush creeping down your neck and up to the tips of your ears
She squeezes your hand, a blush of her own spreading over her face that doesnât go away even after you drop her off
She flops into bed with a dopey grin on her face, giggling uncontrollably and kicking her feet and holy fuck, sheâs in her late twenties, why is she so giddy over holding hands???
Itâs embarrassing, but no one is here with her anyway, so who cares?
You like her too.
You like her too.
Emily
Sheâs practically foaming at the mouth to meet you LMFAO
She had a dream about a new farmer moving into Pelican Town a month before you even quit at Joja
So when the townspeople found out you claimed your grandfatherâs farm, Emily was truthfully, impatient as hell
She tried to keep her mind busy so it didnât occupy her every day, but it got harder to do the closer it got to your arrival date
And she swore there was something different in the air when you stepped off the bus
The egg festival was the first time she spoke to you, and sheâs sure it must be destiny that you spoke to her first out of everyone in the square
Right off the bat she knew there was something different about you
The way you carried yourself, and how you looked at the world around you
There was wonder there, like you had only just started living
She got the opportunity to know why when you visited the saloon one night
It was slow, and she was busying herself by wiping out a few wine glasses when you walked in, fresh out of the mines
You looked worse for wear, but when she asked if you were alright, your mood was overwhelmingly positive
Exploring the mines was easier than working at Joja at leastâor so you claimed
Given how often she hears about people feeling stuck and stagnant, sheâs glad at least one person in Pelican Town is taking charge of their life and trying to be happy
But the longer youâre in the valley, the better everyoneâs lives seem to be going
Pam has her job back again, the minecarts are working, and then the community center is up and runningâall thanks to you
She finally understands why she was having dreams before you ever showed up when the Joja Mart closes down and gets remodeled into a gorgeous movie theater a few weeks later
Everywhere you go good fortune seems to followâthe trees sway toward you, the water calms in your presence, and the wind blows a little gentler, and now the community is finally rid of that terrible corporationâs presence
When she finally realizes that she likes you, thereâs no catalystâno special moment or anything
Youâre not even there when it clicks
Sheâs in her room, sewing a new dress for Haley for Feast of the Winter Star Christmas, and her train of thought wanders to you
She thinks of the dreams, of your influence over the townspeople, over the flora and fauna, and she knows that it was destiny for you to move to Pelican Town and fix everything
But then she sets that aside, and thinks about you
Just you
The way you look after a day out in your fields, the sound of your laugh, the dedication you show in everything you do, and the compassion and thoughtfulness of your actions
Even when youâre not fixing up the town, or dropping off gifts to some townie or another, youâre a bright spot in the middle of the gloomâthe eye of the storm
Youâre safe, and she gets teared up thinking about you
She likes you so much
Sheâs immediately abandoning the dress in favor of busting out her tarot cards, because now she has to know for sure
Is it a waste of time? Is it for her to decide? Is it destiny?
She doesnât know, and she needs to find out before it drives her insane, and then The Lovers and Two of Cups fall out of her deck
Sheâs confident that the universe is pointing her in your direction, and sheâs not going to ignore those signs any longer
Sheâs on her way to Pierreâs, coin purse in hand and jingling with the gold she needs to seal her future with you, when you run smack into each other outside of her house
You both stumble, but while you right yourself without issue, she falls backward
You catch her just in time and drag her back to her feet, apologizing profusely for knocking her down, and seeing you in front of her with your arms carefully looped around her waist, well
She confesses on the spot
Itâs awkward, sheâs stuttering the whole time, and youâre wide eyed in surprise as she stumbles over her words
Eventually she trails off, her cheeks as red as her dress, when you smile softly, and hold up a bouquet
She didnât even notice it in your hands, but seeing it now, how could she have possibly missed it?????
A little bummed that you bought the bouquet first, but then again, this is the universe weâre talking about, she canât complain about its methods
Certainly not when youâre carefully kissing her cheek and placing the flowers in her hands

SEBASTIAN X MALE READER ;;
Subtle tremors rack through your body, adrenaline pumping through you, notably from your heavy pants. What happened to having a cosy night indoors after cancelled plans? A small part of you, borderline hysterical, finds humour in the fact that that was your first thought. Not the fact Abigailâs whereabouts were unknown, or rather what was left of her. Or the fact that Sebastian was no longer coherent, the small opportunities of looking for glimpses of what remained of his personality, if he was still in there, that is, were becoming increasingly slim. Assumptions would get you nowhere.
Not then; when youâd attempted to question him, fishing for something to build up upon. And certainly not now; shrinking away in a makeshift hiding spot with bloody feet and wide eyes.Â
(The blood wasnât his, either.)Â
Your cat begins to squirm once more, ears first and then followed by her head popping through the collar of your sweater. No doubt stretched and baggy. At least you had loose fitting pyjamas, or ones on the way to reaching such a state. That was a positive on the situation, right? No phone, no torch and roughly an hour away from the centre of Pelican Town - the other option being a forty minute trek down south towards Marnieâs Ranch.
That being with protective gear amongst the wild shrubs and rocky terrain that hadnât been cleared for a few years. Morbidly, for a brief moment, you consider heading out into the open. Maybe get it over and done with; could you even wait this out, realistically? Ignoring the rapidly decreasing temperatures as the night progressed on, a lack of warm clothing and around five to six hours until sunrise? If the chill in the air didnât get you initially, he would - it would only be a matter of time. A matter of time until-
A rustle. Over, off towards the left.
Eyes watering in frustration, you bring your hands to cup around your mouth and nose, forcing yourself to remain quiet. You had to be.Â
But, your cat continues on writhing, claws tugging at your sweater, not settled or comforted by your silent coos and reassurances. Shit. Biting back the urge to whisper, you attempt to ease her temper-
"Wait!"
Abruptly she pushes herself out, scrambling out from within your embrace and away, sprinting off into the darker sections of the cornfield, where light had not been able to reach. You lose your positioning on your feet, where your face had been tucked somewhat into your knees, and brace yourself into your palms - dead leaves crunching underneath them.
"No. No no no, no-"
Readjusting yourself back into position, you hurriedly glance around eyeing the area.Â
Gone. She's gone.Â
Fuck.Â
(What if he-)
The only real solace you had, was that at least your cat had run off in the opposite direction to that of the noise you'd heard earlier. That he had not strayed his attention towards the sudden movement. At least she'd be safe. But, he was still stalking, lurking around and waiting for you to come out.
The same noise gradually grows in volume; individual corn stalks being harshly shifted from their original positioning, your eyes honing in on the brief glimpses of boots digging in at the base of the plants. Crunching.Â
He knows.
How could he not know?
(You're being watched).
You bring your hands up once more. Cheeks wet, and vision watery. You had to stay calm, you had to-
A pause.Â
The crunching stops.Â
The wind stops.Â
The only thing accompanying you now is the blood rushing in your ears, heartbeat jackhammering in your chest, willing yourself to remain silent. You feel sick.Â
He's a few metres away now; your eyes, stupidly, follow from his feet and slowly upwards - face still obscured by the stalks of corn but you see him.
Blank eyes peering over the stalks, looking downwards in your vicinity.
He sees you. He blinks.
It's nothing but instinct at this point, fear rising, clawing up your throat into a panicked cry and you're on your feet once more, stumbling about, trying to maintain a steady rhythm as your bare feet sting against the dirt.Â
Opting to turn a sharp corner, maybe foolish in the greater scheme of things, in order to make a turn back to the exit of the cornfields; your vision unfocuses.
And the world is sideways.Â
Something large tackles into your waist, winding you in the process; and you make contact with the ground harshly, neck almost whiplashing in the process. Dust and debris particles swirling into the air at the impact. Dull throbs lace up your sides as your sweatshirt rides up before you finally come to a stop.Â
Everything hurts.
(Where's Abigail?)
Black spots gather in your vision, and you can barely get to grips with your surroundings, having to squint at the ringing in your ears. You know he's there. He's watching.Â
(When you were little, whenever you felt scared, you'd curl into a little fetal position underneath your duvet, blanket drawn right over your head, and fingers tightly holding the sheets down. Just in case. You wish you could do that now).
If you couldn't see him, he couldn't see you.
Yet, he's there, once again, looming over you as you gather your bearings. Digging your hands into the dirt, searching for some sense of leverage, you shuffle back as he draws closer. His gait still remains awkward, uneven, feet dragging along the dirt.
"Suh- Seb, stop. Please," it comes out slurred, less assertive than you'd hoped, "I don't- you're scaring me."
You mustâve hit your head harder than you originally thought; the same sentiment for your left ankle, pulsating with a sharp ache every time youâd allow some weight onto your leg to aid your movement, instead now hanging oddly.
His pupils are near enough eclipsing his irisâ, the familial warmth of dark brown gone. Empty.
Dropping to his knees, almost patronisingly, he crawls, easily catching up with your own - lining atop your body. Instinctively, you attempt to thrash underneath him to exert some form of control. To get away. Yet, saliva pools in your mouth as you cry out weakly, the jostling of your ankle, most likely rolled, smarts once more with the motion.Â
You couldnât move even if you wanted to. You were stuck here-
Deft fingers, pale and thin, swiftly undo the drawstrings on your pyjama bottoms and forcefully tug them downwards, your underwear now visible. Goosebumps prickling upwards the moment brisk air meets your upper thighs. His fingers continue to trail downwards, lightly outlining around your dick, forefingers circling around where he'd assumed the spongy head would be. The slight teasing, delicate touches cause you to involuntarily twitch beneath him. Sebastian (itâs not him) then readjusts his weight atop of you, and straddles, lining up his clothed hips with your own - crotch against crotch.
Nodding in appreciation, he grins down at you. A strained, one; teeth and gums clenching too tightly together to be classed as a smile.Â
You feel sick.Â
Words are muddy, heavy on your tongue.
Leaning down, a large palm clasps around your arms, pinning them above your head - the other, digs around your jaw, forcing it to the side, your gaze back to the cornfields. Blunt, uneven nails press roughly into soft skin, and your eyes strain trying to keep your line of sight back on him. He nuzzles into the open area, a blind spot.
"You smell so good," he shudders, shakily inhaling your scent, "So good. She didn't taste right, at all."
(You feel sick).
There's a slick sheen of sweat across his brow and temple, trickling down towards his jaw, and you'd think he'd be burning up with the way his clothing clung to him with the visible sweat patches. Yet, he's cold. So cold.
âPuh- Please, stop. I donât wantâŚâ youâre aware itâs futile. Heâs swimming in and out of lucidity, fractions of him present momentarily, in hints of recognition, before he sinks back under.
Fangs bared, he laps across the column of your neck repetitively, tasting salt on his tongue teeth, just pricking the skin.
âYou understand, right? I have to do this, I need to-â
He bites; hard.Â
(This isn't Sebastian).
It's immediate. There's no build up to the pain - not like you'd initially believed. It sears through you, spider webbing across the straining muscle before slowly fading into a dull numbness. Blood (itâs not mine), wet and balmy, washes over your skin. It offers little warmth, your sweater now plastered, suctioning over your collarbones. In some ways, it was comparable to how water would cling to your clothing - but itâs thicker, the wrong kind of warm.
Struggling would no doubt do further damage, running the risk of more blood loss but, you have to. In an attempt to free yourself, you pathetically buck up your hips to shift his weight, clasping around his broad shoulders to push him back; he remains in place.Â
He remains, and he remains-
Even as black dots haze around the edges of your vision, you can still feel him rocking atop your hips, something wet spilling across your lower abdomen and cock. It soaks through the fabric of your underwear- rapidly cooling in the freezing air.Â
(Did he?)
Breath heavy against your neck, he pulls away; his face is a complete mess.
