yesterday
was my last day at work. I did not expect it, nor did my coworker. I did not know what to think, what to say, what to do. I was sad + frustrated + doubtful + confused -- yet also hopeful + excited + free. It is still much to process. Regardless, with plenty or less, with bounty or nothing, God is in control. He gives and takes away. He closes doors and opens ones no other can dare to open.
Don’t get me wrong, I am still frustrated and struggle with thoughts of failure, anger, and pity. But I should not dare choose to lose focus of my God and cling to my feelings. I humbly choose to cling to the Rock, who is the Cornerstone. “I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I know Who holds tomorrow.” (Unknown)
“The Lord is my light and my salvation--so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” (Psalm 27:1)
I wonder what will happen in these next few years. I know that patience and self-control is imperative. It is hard to see the effects of my actions in the immediate future. It’s easy to have peaceful self-control shift into impatient hope. Yet, Christ is my peace and my portion. I will not fear (or rush into) the plans He has in store for me.
I really like the gray gloom and monument of calvary together. it is both dark (as in humbling) and beautiful (as in wonderful).
I've missed you, Tumblr. It’s been too long. Just checking in. Hope you’re okay.
marijuana more like marijuanah. say no to drugs. stop kony
love is sacrifice. jacob loved rachel. and he said, 'i will serve you seven years for your younger daughter rachel.' so jacob served seven years for rachel, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her. genesis 29:18 & 20 esv | #beyouinbellevue #vsco #vscocam (at Bellevue, Washington)
// a little frustrated this morning it's funny how we get flustered and anxious over things we cannot control. thinking anger or worry can change anything. my blood was curdling with frustration. but there was nothing I could do. ultimately i had to surrender and let it go. REMINDER: i am not in control. make the most of it. trust God. and be responsible with what you can control. #reallife #vsco #vscocam (at Bellevue, Washington)

just stop right there.
So what if you’re alone right now. Embrace it. Go to coffee alone. Shop alone. Drive alone. Watch movies alone. Get to know yourself. Nothing bad can come from riding whatever wave to self improvement you’re blessed with in the moment.
I really wanna go on a car ride with her

"but you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life." jude 1:20-21 esv | 🌫 | #pricelesstruckrun (at Pacific Beach SD)
“there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. we love because He first loved us.” 1 john 4:18-19 esv | 🌅 (at San Diego Mission Bay)
"... if i have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, i am nothing. love bears all things. believes all things. hopes all things. endures all things. for now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. now i know in part; then i shall know fully, ..." 1 corinthians 13:2, 7, 12 esv | 🏔 | #agapelove
