This video is fantastic and brings up many great points. Every one should watch this. I think we are brought here to live our lives not work to live. Yes, money is needed for many experiences but if it wasn’t an object what would you be doing?    

I think we often get lost in the need for money that our happiness gets altered. Imagine, what you would be doing if it wasn’t an object. Imagine a life full of happiness that brings you piece. Now go do it. Perhaps, a lot of aspirations involve money but I think it is important to find the balance of life, work and above all happiness.

Supreme Court Declares Same-Sex Marriage Legal In All 50 States

"The nature of injustice is that we may not always see it in our own times," Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote after recounting the legal struggles faced by same-sex partners.

Today a piece of history was made! 6.26.15 Marriage Equality in ALL 50 States! So happy to say that my state was one of first one’s to get this ball rolling. The best quote from today is:  "No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice and family," Kennedy wrote. "In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than they once were."  From the attached article.  As we think about this quote, love bounds us all and we all deserve to love and be loved. It doesn’t matter who we are , it is important for all to know and be allowed to be themselves. Today is the day that EVERYONE has that opportunity! LOVE WINS!

I have read previous articles about Honest Company and each time I have been impressed with the entire company and Jessica Alba. This video is great as it gives you more insight into what has now become an extremely successful company. In the video, she mentions that she had to get the team to learn the importance of social media to build the community.

In today’s world there are many brands and products available, in order to stand out from the crowd you need the sense of community. Artists and musicians of all kinds gain and build a community. In turn, their fans follow their every move and support their projects. A company can and should do the same. Perhaps, Jessica Alba’s experience as an actor is what brought her the best understanding and importance of social media. Through her experiences she was able to build a community that thrives and has brought great success.

A brand who can deliver that sense of community and can also stick to their mission, is one that thrives. Watching this video shows that even with all of their success they are ready and focusing on the next step. The next item they can bring to their costumers.

Through the network they build, a brand can also succeed in gaining loyal customers. It is important to the company to keep them engaged, keep them wanting more and never forgot the mission that got them started. It is when a company forgets their mission, the reason the consumer was interested in the first place, that they falter. As Honest Company releases more products their loyal customer will continue to try them. Loyal customers are also important in spreading the word and helping a company grow.

This quote in the Rolling Stone Article released today about B.B. King Passing sums up his excitement and appreciation at the end of this video :

The article is fantastic, do read it. 

One thing to remember is B.B. King may have been the sound of blues music but he influenced all genres. His incredible talent and his dedication is something to be proud of. He worked and played hundreds of shows all throughout his career, including his later years. He has left an imprint on the music industry and the music that we listen to today and into tomorrow.  

May he be greatly missed, extremely celebrated and forever live on in his music.

The infographic breaks down how their time is spent and money.  The more brands and companies that notice these changes the more successful the company and economy will be. Why pull away from the movement of the consumer, which inevitably can assist the success of your company, brand, or product.

Pachyderm and Seedy Underbelly owner John Kuker passes away

John Kuker contributed greatly to the music industry and the Minneapolis music scene.  It is incredible the work he has completed and the renovations he did to Pachyderm. A magical studio that many great musicians have recorded in. Including the recording of Nirvana's In-Utero!

  This is a great article. As a consumer and someone who works in marketing; I agree the need for an "experience" is ideal. There are ways to create this experience no matter what your product may be. In today's world a lasting impression is the best way for your brand to be noticed and continue to grow. Everything today is very instant and consumers need something to talk about; why not provide an experience that will keep them talking and spread the word. I think any business; retail, entertainment could learn from the consumer and the need of an experience. A great take away from this article is: "Most important, never lose site of your objective: to create substance, not just another stunt."  In other words, focus on the brand and the experience as every lasting not just a heat of the moment event. One that is entwined with your brand's objectives.
