Chef no more, as Art I Adore!

I love photography, drawing and painting. Many years I have been drawing and doing photography in particular, and painting is something I have been trying to strive towards doing also. My curse is I often get so many ideas and also I can be extremely indecisive and lose focus quickly, as I can pursue ideas that won't stop haunting me.... till they are created and brought to life.

Rakuen Soundtrack - Build a little world with me (Laura Shigihara)

This song reminds me of Ellie quite a lot. Ellie was given to me in 2010 which was the time I started doing Art for my options in school. Shep my old labrador retriever was put down because of cancer earlier before Ellie was given to me. I was given Ellie and she helped me overcome mourning shep and she looked after me for years while I studied art. It was in 2010 that I began studying art further and then I went on to going college and then university. Ellie was always there for me and she helped me in many ways. She used to enjoy being next to me while I did drawings. This song reminds me of her and how she was always with me. 

The words ‘would you build a little world with me’ reminds me that I created so many artworks while Ellie was by my side and now I wanted to create work in memory of her.

Alexander Rybak - "Europe's Skies" (Official Music Video)

Alexander is another singer and violinist who inspires me greatly. I used to listen to his songs when painting the bed sheets with acrylic paint. Hearing the music made me quite active and the painting were energetic and done at a fast pace when listening to this song.

This is a tribute video I made of Ellie and the other things I have been up to. I have decided to do some tie dying and have been working on a patchwork piece. I wanted to work with patches and pillows because I wanted to express that she was put to sleep and when I have been creating art I have been thinking of her. The work created is in memory of her because she has always been there with me during the years I started my journey from doing art in school, college and then doing art at university. when shep my black Labrador was put to sleep because of cancer, I was then gifted Ellie shortly after and she stopped me from mourning the loss of shep and she looked after me. After her death her some of her ashes were placed in a four leaf clover necklace because the last day she saw me, she caused me to find a four leaf. Ellie will be missed and will be forever in my heart.

working with different sized patches 

A painting was cut up into patches and then the patches were rearranged and pieced back together in a different order. I tried to get the patches to be of similar sizes but as the cutting process went on, it was noticed that the later patches had became bigger than the earlier pieces cut. The idea is that something has been destroyed but then things will be rearranged and mended back together.
