“Me too, me too” George said, shaking his head sadly.  “Anyway, what possesses a person to even want to participate in that nonsense?”
Charlie shrugged, a matching sad expression on her face. "I genuinely wish that I knew. I mean sure, I guess there’s the glory if you win, but I can’t honestly say I think it’s worth it. Not based on things like the Triwizard Tournament, anyway. The people who run those things don’t seem to care about the trauma they inflict on their participants; or victims, rather.”
Grace nodded. “It’s really the only therapeutic outing than just punching someone or screaming at a body that doesn’t care.” The pair was starting to settle into a numb cover over her. As she looked over at the sign of her lifting her shirt she looked over the tattoo. “Oh wow.. yeah, I can see that. That’s sorta what it felt like after getting burned in the Olympics, so I can understand that.”Â
Charlie chuckled. "Well, I can’t recommend punching someone, given that I’m the closet person, but the screaming I can get behind. Sometimes mindless shouting is the best thing for what ails you. Again I ask that you pick another victim though, because I’m not likely to stick around if you just start wailing on me.” She ran a hand over her skin, and smiled at the girl before nodding. “Yep. Not that I’ve died or anything, but I’ve got a thing for animals, and the phoenix gives me hope that you can always start over again.” There was a pause, as Charlotte realized why Grace seemed familiar, and then she slapped her hands together once before speaking up again. “That’s it, that’s where I know you from! I mean sure, the tabloids, but who gives a fuck about that shit? It’ll be lining animals cages soon enough, but the Olympics, now that’s something that’ll stick. I didn’t watch them much, because I find the practice of torture barbaric, but I remember reading a lot of the stuff afterwards. You may not have finished first, but you made it through in one piece, and that’s nothing to sneeze at. Way to go, kid.
Wakey, Wakey || Paula & Charlie
“Me? The Minx? Charlie… you’re the one that was dancing it up all night long with everyone. I’m innocent, thank you.” She giggled softly. Paula was anything but innocent. Paula rolled her eyes as she pulled back to look up at Charlie. “You really want to tease me? Love, I will tease back, and I doubt we’ll keep things cute and fuzzy if that starts.”
Charlie was working very hard not to wear her satisfaction on her face, as she listened to Paula complain. Whether or not either of them admitted it, they were easily made jealous, and knowing that she was the root of that for the other girl, made her feel happy. "I only said that to get your attention, alright? I danced with one other person, and as far as I could tell, she wasn’t hitting on me. Did she seem a little flirty? Yes. Did it feel intentionally directed at me? No. As for your innocence, that’s a load of crap, and we both know it.” When Paula pulled back, she did the same, and when their eyes met, she smirked. “Always. Come on now, I can take a lot more than you give me credit for, babe. Besides, who says I have any intention of following through?”
Mocha has been people watching all day. She was itching to write something new, something fresh, and for that she needed muse. Yet as she sees these people walk by her live their lives, she can’t help but feel uninspired. “Perhaps if I do something spontaneous….” she mutters. Spontaneity often got the creative juices flowing. “You there!” She calls out, knowing someone was bound to answer her. “You look like you know how to have fun. Care to take a girl on an adventure? I’ll do whatever you deem fun.”
Charlie hated being bored, almost as much as she hated being followed. So as she wandered, she couldn’t help hoping for something, anything, to happen. When someone called out to her, or at least in her general direction, she turned their way, and smiled before making her way closer. "Well first of all, thank you for that, I do try. Second of all, I guess it would depend on whether or not you recognize me. That’s weird, I know, but if you do, I can take you on a slightly different adventure than if you don’t.” Not that she really had anything in mind, but stalling gave her time to think on it.
Malinda heard her nickname and frowned for a minute, wondering why it didn’t sound like her dad’s voice. But she looked up from the cup at Charlie and smiled, recognising her friend instantly. The cup was gone the next second and in the trash, and she pouted. “But it’s coffee and I need it. Tea doesn’t help and I’ve made the mistake of grabbing a couple of boozy drinks. Who drinks this early in the day?” Her eyes kept drooping as she walked alongside Charlie and leaned against her a little. "I’m so tired I think I could sleep for a decade.”
Charlie gave a little finger wave when they made eye contact before she reached her friend’s side. When Mal pouted, she couldn’t help laughing and shaking her head. "So you walk the block to the cafe, and yourself a caffeinated beverage. As for who would be drinking this early, my best guess would be alcoholics.” She held the other girl up easily enough, but she was a little afraid they wouldn’t make it to a place where Malinda could sit down. “Just don’t pass out on the sidewalk, because as much as I love you, I’m not strong enough to carry you to someplace more comfortable.”
Grace shrugged off her comment. It wasn’t like she cared much what the girl thought of her or how she was acting towards anyone. “I’m only burning these bloody things and moving forward with my day. Your welcome to he-” Grace turned and looked over as she grabbed her side with a raised brow. “You alright there?”
Charlie kinda liked the girl’s attitude, but she wasn’t about to say that, so she shrugged. “Works for me, I burn the paper on more of a regular basis than I’d like to admit.” She realized what she’d done as soon as it was pointed out, and she flushed slightly as she nodded. “Heh, yeah, sorry, you’re comment just hit close to home is all.” With a sigh, she lifted the right side of her shirt to show off her colorful ink. “Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, you know?”
“Yeah I guess you’re right in that regard at least.  I just…” George sighed and shrugged “Well I have a few friends in it, I just want them to end up okay.”
Charlie nodded sympathetically, understanding where he was coming from. Sure, she didn’t have anyone all that close in the games, but watching other people worry tended to kick her empathy into high gear. "Well then, I hope your friends make it through okay. I mean, not that I wasn’t hoping that for everyone already anyway, but you know what I mean.”
“I don’t mind it at all, actually,” Poppy says, taking the piece of bread. She found vegetarian food easier to digest. Don’t get her wrong she liked a burger every once in a while, but she was slowly changing her diet towards the veggie side. It was healthier and kept her smarter and sharper. She takes a bite and sighs happily. “Thank you so much! This is really good. Is that chocolate in the middle? Yummy.”
Charlie’s smile grew. "Perfect.” Watching the girl take a bite and let out such a happy sigh, made the shifter chuckle. “You’re welcome! Right? It’s definitely one of my favorites.” She nodded happily. “’Course it is! Still being able to eat chocolate is probably the main reason being a vegetarian isn’t all that hard; besides the obvious benefits.”
Wakey, Wakey || Paula & Charlie
Paula laughed hiding her face in the other girls shoulder. “I can’t help myself. Also, I doubt it was something you didn’t enjoy.” She grumbled sleepily into Charlie’s shoulder. Feeling her cuddle in closer she wrapped her arms around her tighter. Letting her hands slip through the other girls hair softly. “Oh I love your snuggles. Who doesn’t enjoy snuggling something soft and warm.” Paula froze at the kiss on her neck shutting her eyes with a soft hum. “Trying to repeat last night?”
Charlie couldn’t see Paula’s face, but she felt her hiding, and it made her chuckle. “Of course you can’t, because you’re a little minx; and you’re right about me enjoying it.” When she was pulled in tighter, she couldn’t help the feeling of contentment that washed over her. “Yay me. Mm, crazy people? Or at the very least, people who’ve missed out on the opportunity before?” She shrugged her shoulders the best she could manage in their current position. “Eventually, but right now I just feel like teasing you.”
Morning Routine || Open
“Teenagers are entitled to their fair share of shenanigans.” Damia took a sip of her tea before peeking at her watch. “Miss Catrell, it was a pleasure, as always. I must get on my merry way. My work doesn’t do itself.”
Charlie gave a small nod. “Indeed we are.” The shifter couldn’t say she was sad to see the woman go, but she made sure to look apologetic for having stopped her. “Right, of course, thank you for your time, Miss Bloom.” She reached for the next copy of the paper, and gave a slight wave. “Bye.”
Morning Routine || Open
Damia laughed at the girl’s response. It sounded very rehearsed. “That is always good to hear.” She gave a nod and sipped her tea. “I do hope you stay out of trouble. I wouldn’t want our name to come across my desk.”Â
Damia’s laugh set Charlie more on edge, if that was even possible, and she knew that she had to get out of there fast. She nodded, with a hum of affirmation, before her most winning smile took over her features. "That’s the plan, nothing illegal, and nothing too involved with making trouble.”
Wakey, Wakey || Paula & Charlie
Of course Paula would leave with Charlie. After knowing she danced around with other people, Paula needed to leave an even bigger note on the girls night. Besides, when could she ever deny her? It was simply unheard of and impossible. An arm over her made her slightly aware of her surroundings and a soft whispered made her smile a little before slipping back to sleep. It didn’t last long till she felt a small poke and she groaned a little rubbing her eye. Her words were too cute to pass up though. Paula shifted a little so she could face Charlie. Reaching up she tucked a piece of her hair back. “Little early to be so demanding don’t you think?” She smiled leaned over to lightly press her lips against the other girls. Sighing dramatically she opened her arms up. “Come on, snuggle in.”
Charlie was trying to make her best pouty face, but couldn’t help smirking a little at Paula’s words. “Excuse you, I seem to remember you being pretty demanding yourself last night, and being that it was after midnight..” Not that she was complaining, or even minded, really; she’d do just about anything the other girl wanted. The kiss wasn’t nearly enough, but it would have to do for the moment, because in the next, she was pressing herself as close to Paula as she could manage. “Don’t act like you don’t like my snuggles, I am the greatest snuggle buddy ever. Plus, I can turn into any animal I want, and who doesn’t love cuddling with fluffy cuteness?” To emphasize her point, Charlie nuzzled the side of the other’s neck, before giving it a soft kiss.
Poppy was starving. She had woken up late due to staying up all night to read tips on the new game she got herself last week, so she barley made it to her first class on time. That meant no breakfast and several hours till lunch. By the end of her second class her stomach was growling so loudly that several students stared at her. And when it was finally time for lunch, a teacher kept her late and she missed her chance to eat a delicious meal. By the end of all of her classes, she has had enough. Glancing at the first person she sees with a snack she goes over to them, a small smile on her face. “Hey, so I know we aren’t super close but is there any way I can have a bite of that? I am so hungry it’s not even close to funny.”
Charlie always had a stash of snacks on hand, in case she ever missed a meal, or just got a craving. Most of them were chocolate based, and every one of them was vegetarian. Next to no one ever asked her to share, probably for fear that it would be healthy or gross; if they only knew. So, she was a little surprised, when the girl came up and asked for some of her after school treat. It was chocolate stuffed cinnamon & sugar pull-apart bread, so it definitely not healthy or gross. With a slight smile, she shrugged, and handed over the piece she’d just pulled off. "I guess, so long as you don’t mind vegetarian, have at it.”
Grace looked up. Charlie … she knew here from something but she couldn’t point a finger to were. Maybe she was in the spot light too. Though Grace was already siting on the fence and ready for the girl to tell her how sorry she was and offer her food or something but her words surprised her. “It’s me.. I have it under control. Bonfires are always nice. Fire in general- sorta like a new start.”

Charlie cocked and eyebrow, and couldn’t help her sarcastic tone."Yeah, got that, thanks.” After a moment of staring into the flames, she nodded, and checked her attitude. “Well alright then, so long as you don’t burn the castle or surrounding forrest down, I make no judgements.” She chuckled softly, her hand going instinctively to her right side, over the phoenix tattoo hidden there. “I agree.”
