"O-okay!" Nagisa caught up beside him, trying his best to keep the light in his hands from shaking. He could swear that the shadows were dancing, teasing him. Swallowing hard, Nagisa reached out and grabbed the end of Haruka’s shirt as they walked, biting his bottom lip. 

When Makoto and Rei were with them, it had always been easier to watch how afraid they could get. It took his mind off of how scared he actually was. 

"Haru-chan, what is that?" He asked as they walked closer and closer to the shadow. 

--- A rare smirk arched his lips as the little shota tugged absently at his shirt. So Nagisa wasn't as brave as he let on, huh? Somehow, Haru was actually enjoying this.. As they approached the strange object a smaller shadow darted past them, knocking over a broken chair. It clattered to the dusty floor with a metallic crash. "Nagisa, stay back." Haruka pushed the smaller boy behind him as he took the flashlight, illuminating a stack of old boxes near the end of the hall. Whatever was causing the disturbance was definitely behind them. "I'm gonna take a look. Stay here." As the older teen stepped forward he flashed the boy a stern look. "I mean it." Flashlight in hand, Haru shined the light onto the mysterious shadow. A quiet gasp widened his blue gaze as he took in the shocking sight.. Curled up on an old blanket, three stray kittens glanced up curiously.

"N-no!" Nagisa quickly shook his head. Normally ghost stories or haunted buildings excited him, but there was something about the old dormitory that made him sightly uncomfortable. "I’ll be fine!"

With one big breath, he stepped towards the door and forced it open. He had taken a few steps inside, and noticed Haruka was staring after him. Nagisa most likely wasn’t very convincing. “H-Haru-chan? Let’s go!”

He hadn't expected Nagisa to go through with it and when the younger boy forced open the door.. Haru watched, half stunned. He had a feeling that his actions might be a negative influence but even so, he really wanted to swim. As he stepped inside the heavy door gave way- slamming shut behind them. Haru glanced around curiously, blue eyes adjusting slowly to the dark. The only light came from Nagisa's small flashlight which illuminated a long hall filled with cobwebs and debris. "Come on, the pool is this way." As they moved through the abandoned building a strange noise caught their attention. "Hey.. What's that?" Haru pointed calmly at an oddly shaped shadow in the distance, out of range of Nagisa's light. "Let's go check it out."
