April: It was a lot at first to process. I heard all sorts of stories about mutants and all of that, but never thought I'd actually meet one, let alone four! Mikey was the first one I met. Some sketchy ass scientists were trying to corner him, and I didn't know he was a mutant in the heat of the fight- just that someone needed help and I was in the right place at the right time. I helped him chase them off. Seeing a real mutant turtle was one of the coolest experiences at that point, and was worth missing the movie I snuck out to see to begin with.
April: The other three showed up a little bit after and my little mind was just blown. Of course, the other three were about to tear me apart, and I'm REALLY glad that Mikey stepped in to stop them, especially Raph, from mauling me... After that I found out they were all super cool and I promised not to tell anyone about them, especially after the fact a scientist was going to take one of them BECAUSE he was a mutant...
