I always find myself being very reflective and nostalgic as years come to close. Despite releasing my first album with a full band, the beginning of this year, and especially the middle of the year, were hell for me. I went through some really difficult changes and learned a lot about myself and who my real friends are. All this time of growth and change allowed me to find the perfect band members, and brought a lot of new music out of me. Writing music isn’t just what I do, it’s the fire that burns inside of me that I have to release or it’ll kill me. I wrote our second album this summer, and the period in which I wrote it was nothing short of therapeutic. I got everything out of me that was lingering inside and hurting me, and it was, and still is, my proudest work. I can’t wait to set these songs free into the world next year, and to go on tour with all of my favorite people. This year was a learning experience, and next year I’ll put all of that knowledge towards progress and more great experiences. If there’s one thing I learned in the last 12 months, it’s that they weren’t joking when I was a kid, things do get better. And the bad things that happen to us are just learning experiences and tests of character. Everything will be okay in the end. Here’s to a great new year. Cheers, my friends. Be safe tonight. Last night meant the world to me. Everything was perfect. The bands, the crowd, the staff. Thank you to everyone who came to see us and for singing along to our old songs as well as songs we haven’t even released recordings of yet. You guys never fail to remind me why I do what I do, and I love you all so much. My bandmates, I don’t know what I’d do without you guys. Thank you for always kicking so much ass and continuing to impress me with everything you do. Shinobi and the Gust forever. And thank you @pbfran for helping out at our merch booth. Happy graduation, friend. @nsmithphoto92, thank you for all of your continuous hard work. I appreciate the hell out of you and everything you do for us. We couldn’t have done it without you. @aaronrsaye, I almost think it’s a little redundant for me to say this to you after every time something great happens, because I’m sure you’re fully aware by now. But it’s all because of you. I wouldn’t be where I am today and this band wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for believing in me as much as you have and supporting this band from the start. Love you dad. A huge thank you to @lolablackmusic and @saxfaced for putting us on this show. We had a blast. Thank you to all of the bands for kicking ass and being so kind to us. @hellsbellesofficial, Lola Black, and @divineintention303 were all brilliant. What a night. Once again, thank you Stormchasers. I’m eternally grateful. This was the perfect way to end the year. 2018 will be bigger than ever. I’ll see you guys soon. ~Sharone 💙 📸: Savanna (at Gothic Theatre)
Merry Krampus. See you guys soon! Doors open in 15 minutes! (at Gothic Theatre)
Story time. The first time I went to see a show at the Gothic Theater, the second I walked into the venue, I was amazed by how beautiful and intimate it was. I felt in my gut that I had to play there someday. And tomorrow I get to do exactly that. This year was a roller coaster for me. I learned a lot about myself as a person, an artist, a performer, and a songwriter. I released my first full-band album, and then I found a team of people to join me for the ride. And I have to say, they’re some of the best people I have in my life, and I’m grateful. I couldn’t imagine them being anyone else. Throughout the summer I wrote extremely personal songs about the things I was dealing with at the time, and the demons that haunt me. To be completely honest, I’ve never felt this way about anything I’ve done, and my bandmates have blown me away with what they’ve added to each piece. I wholeheartedly believe in every single one of these songs, and I can’t wait to share them with everyone. Tomorrow night is going to be special. We’re playing five new songs, as well as a favorite from the first album. We’re getting more and more theatrical with each show, so come see what we’re about. We’re playing the Gothic Theater tomorrow with Lola Black, Hell’s Belles, and Divine Intention. Dreams really do come true. This year has been full of chaos in the best way. Let’s end it with a bang. (at Gothic Theatre)
