sorry hiiii the crazy thing is that like a week ago i said to a friend something along the lines of “i mean this in the most non-rpf way possible but the hypothetical dynamic between yuma + ilia is actually kind of compelling” and then lo and behold im scrolling through the tag and there’s fanfiction now. and the dynamic is indeed compelling!!!! really fun work!!!

u may not mean it in the most rpf way possible BUT I DO. they make me feel crazy....

I left a really long reply to a comment on ao3 that kind of touched on this but I find them so fascinating bcuz they communicate thru more ways than just speech ... body language and tone and expression are really key for the Yuma/ilia dynamic truly

like this video is really what got things moving in my head just cuz like... agh... the way they use their hands to talk and also how Ilia puts his arm out and waits for Yuma to come to him instead of leaning in first. idk something about that is very special to me.. the matching thumbs up is also cute

and then ofc Yuma mimicking ilias finishing pose... very cute very sweet. indirectly complimenting ilia by using his body instead of words, and ilia putting his hand over his heart ... the body language of it all

i remember seeing another video from a panel where they were asked what they think each other's best strength is, and when Yuma is giving his response, ilia is watching him and nodding his head along very attentively, even though Yuma was speaking Japanese and I highly doubt ilia could actually understand it 😭😭 (also side note: I really appreciate that whenever Yuma is asked about ilia in any regard, he takes his time and considers his words very carefully when speaking about him... he is a gaffer)

smth that really tickles my brain too is just like... how ilia seems so captivated with Yuma when they're together... blindsided ... puppy love...
