Where YN believes something is going on between Ella and Alessia because of all the fan edits So she decides to get a hotel for a couple of days and text Alessia not to call her

It's Been A While
Alessia Russo x Reader
Summary: You've been gone on tour for a long while, basically the whole summer. You truly missed your girlfriend, and couldn't wait a second longer to see her again.
Warning: None, 2.4k words, not proof read! inspired by this req There is another fic with the same premise that I really liked! (For all intents and purposes, pretend the song that was sung was written by R)
Tonight was the second to last night of the tour. Your new album had been a massive hit globally, and it demanded that you perform around the world. You loved every second of it. The filled stadiums, the loud crowds that sing to your lyrics, it was everything you wanted. But youâd be lying if you said it wasnât tiring. After every show you packed up and boarded a flight for the next show two days away. That cycle continued for 4 months, and in those four months, one person had stuck by your side when you became overwhelmed with all of it. Alessia.Â
You were extremely grateful to have her by your side, although the two of you hadnât seen face to face for the duration of your tour, you knew it was coming to an end soon. That motivation kept you going through tonight, giving it your all to the stadium. Youâd never totally get used to these massive crowds.Â
Like every other show, you boarded the flight that night, excited to be in London in a couple hours, and finally home. You knew Alessia couldnât make it to your last show. Being a footballer dragged her everywhere, if not for training, then pr, and newly, her soccer program. There was a mutual understanding between the two of you, but it did hurt a bit knowing she wasnât going to be there tonight.Â
You unceremoniously flopped onto the hotel bed and started to scroll through your phone. As your eyelids started to get heavy, you sent out one last text.Â
âââ-
You: last tour tomorrow, I canât wait to finally see you <3 wishes you were there :(
âââ-
Right as you pressed the button, you fell asleep, ready for one more show.Â
Alessia had just gotten out of the shower when she saw your text. The blonde felt guilty not lying to you about not going, but knowing you, itâs better off that way. Everytime Alessia went to your concerts you gave her free tickets, back stage passes, and travel expenses paid for her whole family. She didnât want you to stress about anything, especially after such a long touring schedule.Â
âââ-
Alessia: Good luck baby, I know youâll do amazing. <3Â
âââ-
The morning came all too fast when the sunlight beamed through the blinds. You stretched out on the bed, trying to wake yourself. Instinctively you flop your arm out to the space next to you. Every time you did, disappointment always followed. That was another thing that you never accounted for, the lonely nights when you craved Alessia to be there, holding you.Â
You reluctantly threw your covers to the side and got out of bed. You made your way to the bathroom and started on your morning routine. After tonight you can finally see your girlfriend again. One more show, and right at home. Tonight was your biggest crowd yet. It brought on nerves and excitement.Â
Soon you were backstage with make-up artists surrounding you. No matter how many times youâve done this, you still felt anxious. It was only natural since youâd be in front of thousands.Â
âââ-
Alessia: You're going to do great tonight!Â
âââ-
How does she know the perfect time to text every time? And yet, it works every time to ground you.Â
âââ-
You: thank you, canât wait to see you after.Â
âââ-
Alessia had to control herself to not immediately ruin the surprise. The show starts in thirty minutes, and she has most of the arsenal squad sitting near the pit. The striker couldnât contain her excitement. She loved to see you glow on stage, doing what you love.Â
It was no easy task to get these tickets as well. She waited until it opened at midnight, and queued up for an hour to finally buy them.Â
Now she looked up at the empty stage in front of her, only fifteen more minutes till she saw you again, four months ago.Â
âYou look so awestruck and sheâs not out on stage yet,â Kyra teased, earning small giggles from the other girls.Â
âHey! Who could blame me when I havenât seen her in forever,â Alessia turned to her, smiling. She kept imagining the surprise on your face when you saw her.Â
âAt least I wasnât like Leah who was practically glued to Elle the week she visited,â the striker continued.Â
Then the lights went dark, all except one, the one that shined right on you. Cheers erupted. You stood there smiling at the crowd, thinking of how lucky you were.Â
âWhatâs up London!!â You shouted. The stadium got even louder. âAre you guys ready for tonight?âÂ
Alessia shouted at the top of her lungs. The blonde was always your top supporter no matter what. She looked at you as if you were her whole world, eyes shining as she took you in. Your hair, styled in the prettiest curls. Your dress sparkled in the stage lights. Everything was perfect, you were perfect.Â
Tears started to prick at Alessiaâs eyes. Pride, excitement, happiness, mixed with longing was all too overwhelming.Â
âAww look! Less is tearing up,â Leah teased. That earned the defender a light punch to the arm.Â
âSheâs just so,â Alessia couldnât find the words.
âAmazing.âÂ
That word couldnât even comprehend how much the striker felt for you. You were her everything. Through the rough patches of her life, to the hardship in the relationship itself, the two of you never really left each other's side. All up until this summer. Her with the Euros, you with your tour, this was the longest the two of you had ever been apart, and it was definitely taking a toll on the both of you.Â
Late night calls werenât enough. Alessia felt the cold nights alone, but she knew better than to convince you to stay. The two of you had your own careers and separate lives. But just seeing you so in your world, everything you worked for, and seeing the vast amount of people that share the love of your songs, filled Alessia with so much pride and love.Â
The show continued. You sang through your latest album and some other singles.Â
âHey London, I want to say thank you for such an awesome night, do you guys want one more?â You smiled into the microphone. You looked through the crowd at the thousands of faces all in search of one, even though she couldnât even be here tonight.Â
Cheers erupted, begging you for one more.Â
âAlright, alright, though I love to end on a high note, this song is for my special someone,â you paused for a second fighting back your tears,â someone that couldnât be here tonight.âÂ
Alessiaâs heart clenched even further. You looked so sad, the blonde wanted nothing more than to shout that she was here; here for you.Â
The stage lights dimmed just a bit, as you picked up your guitar. You strummed through the first few chords. This song was written because of the distance between you two.
âDid I drive you away?â You sang lightly into the mic. You knew better than the cause of the distance was because of you, but deep down, you blamed yourself. The emotion started to creep up in your voice.Â
You looked into the crowd right before you started your second verse. Thatâs when you meet Alessiaâs eyes. Her eyes were glossed over, exactly like yours. Around her was her teammates, all teary eyed, just like her. Initially you were shocked, but then sadness overwhelmed you, again. You wrote this just for her, your insecurities you never spoken about, now confessed to the world.Â
âMy heart is yours, itâs you that I hold onto,â this time you were singing directly to her, as if no one else exsisted, â yeah thatâs what I do.âÂ
You closed your eyes, and looked away, unable to look at her for any longer, in fear of her realizing that you arenât this loud confident girl she fell in love with. Deep down, you truly worry a lot.Â
âAnd I know I was wrong, but I wonât let you down,â Â you took a breath,â oh, yes I will, yes I will, yes I will.â You looked out forwards, at nothing particular, putting your heart on show. The raw emotion bleeding into your voice. The four months truly done something to you. The tears you tried to fight back had won as one fell down your face.Â
The song slowed down nearing the end. âYeah I saw sparks, sing it out,â you slowed down to a small whisper, ending the song. The stadium once again erupted into applause. You managed a small smile.Â
âHaha,â you wiped up a tear on your face, trying to lighten the mood after such a song, âThank you London!â Waving your good byes, you went off stage. Alessia watched you disappear. The song broke her. How come you never told her any of this? Questions rushed through her head, but one thought was evident, she hated herself for not noticing, for not being there for you, reassuring you more.Â
The crowd slowly started to dissipate, allowing the team to head backstage. Alessia rushed to find you, as if another second without you would kill her. She saw you, sitting in the make up chair, wiping the tears off your face. You noticed her, and quickly tried to make yourself presentable. Alessia didnât care for that, you always look ethereal in her eyes, not matter what happens.Â
âHey, Alessia,â you smiled, masking that moments earlier you were on the verge of a breakdown. The blonde rushed over to you, pulling you into the tightest hug as she lifted you of to your chair. Backstage crew and her teammates knew to give you guys some distance, opting to look busy with another task.Â
The blonde didnât let go, scared that the second she does, youâll slip away. âI missed you, so fucking bad,â Alessiaâs voice muffled in the crook of your neck. You held her tighter against you. âMe too.âÂ
The two of you stayed like that for another moment before you pulled away. This was the first time you had actually looked at her for so long. And god damn did you long her her every day of the tour.Â
You reached a hand up to wipe away her tear,â hey, letâs get cleaned up before everyone leaves without us,â you joked. Reluctantly, Alessia moved away from you, letting you finish cleaning up after the show and changing clothes.Â
âYou two are so dang cute,â Katie said, poking Alessiaâs side,â she even made a song for you.âÂ
Normally Alessia would quip back, but she didnât find it in herself to.Â
It took all too long to return home, actual home this time, the shared apartment in London. You walked through the doorway and let in a deep breath, oh how youâve missed this place. Your girlfriend was quick behind, arriving not long after. Finally, actually reunited again.Â
You pulled Alessia onto the couch, hugging her tightly. In the safety of your own home, the dam broke. Tears freefalling from your eyes, wetting the arsenal hoodie the blonde was wearing, but she didnât care one bit.Â
âI missed you so much, I canât even explain it,â you said through soft sobs.Â
âMe too, love, and no matter what you do, Iâll always be here for you.â Her hand gently rubs small patterns on your back.Â
You just held her closer, now laying on top of her, head borrowed in her neck.Â
âAre you sure?â You said in a small voice. It hurt Less to hear that. She couldnât believe that she made you feel this way.Â
âYes, love, Iâll always be here, donât worry. Youâll always be enough, fuck even more than enough.â You didnât reply, just simply kept laying on her, slowly drifting to sleep. Less noticed this, noticed now tiring it must all be for you. Placing a soft kiss on the crown of your head, she pulled a blanket over you two and fell asleep as well.
âGoodnight, my sweet girl.âÂ
âââ-
The following days were less busy, mainly consisting of following Alessia around wherever she went, however, one thing was certain; the concert blew up. All over the internet was the clip of you singing on stage, and panning over to the blonde with teary eyes. You thought it was adorable. Today, you were going to have another relaxing day. Your plan was to go to Alessiaâs game against West Ham then go out to dinner afterwards.Â
You put on one of her match worn jerseys, some shorts, and headed off for the game. You got there as warmups were just starting, sitting not far behind the benches for Arsenal. Alessia was the first to notice you, even before you found your seat. The striker stared for a while before you met her glance, then she proceeded to have the biggest grin on her face and waved towards you.Â
What a goof, you thought with a fond smile on your face. You returned the wave, and put your thumbs up for her, wishing her good luck. Alessia was so distracted with you that she barely even saw the ball that was rolling towards her feet, the next step she took, she almost wiped out.Â
You immediately started to laugh loudly, unable to contain it.Â
âToo caught up with your girl, yeah?â Katie said, laughing. That was followed by some other light teasing from the team.Â
All Alessia could do was to ignore them, if she responded, sheâd never hear the end of this for months to come.Â
Warmups have ended, and the game is about to start. You saw the blonde walking towards the centerfield, ready to do her jumps. Alessia looked into the crowd one more time in search of you. She smiled your way, and the game commenced.Â
Arsenal dominated the whole game, ending in a 5-1 win.Â
You were the first one she ran to right after the game, holding you in her arms, even though she was covered in sweat.Â
â Less! You're covered in sweat, get off me,â you jokingly said, softly pushing her away. Youâre met with a pout on the pretty girlâs face.Â
âCanât a winner have a simple hug,â she tried with her biggest puppy eyes.Â
âNot when she needs a shower,â it fell of deaf ears when she pulled you in for an even tighter hug, kissing your cheek.Â
Even though you were also now damp from hugging Alessia, you wouldnât change anything.Â

a/n: sorry this took a while. ty for reading! inbox is open as always,
Might take a short pause in posting bc life is kicking me in the butt rn :(
I was thinking of an Alessia x Reader in which R is a famous singer and has been on tour for a long time but finally her tour comes to an end, all the girls are there with Alessia, maybe we can read funny moments between them while the show is on and finally we could see an emotional moment between R and Alessia since after a long time and tiredness on R's part, they will finally be able to spend time together and R accompanying Alessia during her upcoming matches. Thank you!!
Sounds like a great idea! Love some interactions between singer and athletes :D the fic is here!
You Were Once Mine (pt. 2)
Alessia Russo x reader
Summary: A week had passed since that night. During that time, Alessia was the shell of the person she was. But one night, the two of you finally met face to face again.
Warnings: Angst, Pregnancy topics, some cussing, not proof read! 2.5k words Part one!
Word spreads fast throughout the Arsenal team. Everybody by now knows, and they arenât letting it go. Though personal lives and professional lives are supposed to be separated, her mates were also close friends of yours. They adored you like one of their own, and it crushed them to know how much Alessia had hurt you.Â
The blonde knew it came from a good place, but she was so close to completely falling apart. A week after the incident, she did nothing but go to training then straight home. She hated to be left alone with her thoughts. Every minute she got alone, sheâd be filled with tears and regret. Her teammates noticed this, did they push her too hard? Alesia had lost that spark in her eyes, and that pep in her step. The once chatty, giggly girl, now a shell of herself. The worst part is that the only person she can blame is herself.Â
She caused the coldness of the apartment, the fading scent of you on your pillow, and the restless nights where she tossed and turned, unable to sleep.Â
Today she had weight training; another hour to occupy her thoughts. It was supposed to be a light day, after all, there was a match tomorrow, but Alessia loaded up the rack, intending to bench more than she should. Leah took notice of this.Â
âHey Less, go light on the weights, yeah?â Alessia ignored her, laying down, and put her hands on the bar, gripping it so tight her knuckles went white. Alessiaâs mind was still on the thought of you. How she let you down, the stupid mistake she made, and how you must be feeling right now. She unracked the weight, and pushed. Her arms were screaming at her, telling her it was too much, but she reeled in it, in the feeling. But, no matter how much her mind pushed, her body couldnât respond. On the last rep, her arms gave out, and the weight would go with it. Luckily, one of the trainers noticed the weight she racked, and kept in close range, being there to spot her and rerack the bar.Â
âAlessia, why arenât you doing the weight in your plan?â He questioned, but fell on deaf ears. The blonde sat up, then slumped down into her hands. She failed you, her teammates, now this? Sheâs a failure. Thatâs who she was. The once golden girl of Arsenal lost her shine.Â
âIâm gonna go to the bathroom, and be right back.â With that, she stood up abruptly and walked out. The whole room went silent, eyes trailing her as she left. No one spoke, the air now heavy. Glances were shared between everyone. Leah was the first to break the silence.Â
âIâm going to check on her, Iâll be right back too.âÂ
The captain rushed out of the room, following the striker. She turned the corner to find Alessia slumped on the ground, head in her hands again. It stopped Leah right in her tracks.Â
âHey,â the defender whispered, going to sit next to her. Alessia tried to move away, but Leah held her close. It only broke Alessia even more, tears were free falling now, cascading down her face.Â
âI donât know what to do anymore,â she choked out through sobs. She hated it. She missed you so fucking much, yet she knew you deserved better.
âHave you tried to talk to her? At least to get some closure,â Leah pulled Less in closer.Â
âNo, even if I wanted to, I couldnât.â She paused for a second. âShe blocked me on everything, and probably hates me now,â followed by another muffled cry. The two of them sat there for a moment, Leahâs arm over her back, rubbing a comforting pattern.Â
âHonestly, Less, it was a shitty thing to do, but itâs even shittier to just leave and say nothing, Iâm sure sheâs willing to talk and gain closure at least.âÂ
It was followed by nothing but sniffles from the girl. Alessia knew to give you space, but itâs killing her every second that passes. The two girls sat there for a few minutes, in each other's presence. Soon, Leah patted her on the back, and got up, heading back to lifts, leaving the striker alone in the hallway.Â
The hotel bed was nothing compared to the one you shared. It was stiff and lacked a sense of comfort. The nightstand was missing a picture, and the room was all too cold in the morning.Â
Truth be told, you did miss her. More than you ever thought was possible, but she hurt you, yet, you still crave her presence. You were ready to talk, even if it was the last time you would see her.Â
ââ-
You: can we talk?
ââ-
After you clicked send, you threw your phone across the bed. Was it really the right choice? You had to think about the future of your kid, but it wouldnât be right for them to be the only reason that the two of you would get on better terms.
Thoughts flew around your head as you battled with yourself, maybe talking to her again would at least help you gain some sort of closure. Then a buzz came from your phone.Â
ââ-
Alessia: Yes. At the apartment?Â
ââ-
Alessia couldnât believe that you actually texted her. Her eyes mustâve popped out of her head. She laid in her bed, eyes still a little puffy from before, but this time, she had a twinge of hope inside her. Hope that she could get your forgiveness, or all your anger, anything. She just wanted to hear your voice again. Your contact soon appeared back on her screen.Â
ââ-
Lovie <3: tomorrow at 7, I know you got training till 5:30.Â
ââ-
It was the first time in a week that she didnât sleep with tears down her face.Â
There was a shift in the air during training the next day. Everyone at Arsenal could feel it. Beth was the first one to speak about it.Â
âLessi girl, what happened? You seem⊠better today,â that earned her an elbow from Katie.Â
Alessia didnât reply to her just yet, but just smiled back. Internally, she was extremely nervous yet excited.Â
âShe allowed me to talk to her one more time,âÂ
The team had been giving Alessia shit on it,, but everyone saw how this one simple action turned her for the better.Â
âLess, Iâm happy for you,â Katie replied, â come on, the drills starting, yeah?â The defender gave her a light hearted pat on her shoulders.Â
Alessia couldnât wait till tonight, but at the same time, she could. She wanted to say everything but couldnât trust herself to not break down at the sight of you. When she got home, she started to frantically clean. The shared apartment had really turned into a mess, yet the flowers that were trashed now sit in a vase, and the ring sat in her nightstand. She never had the courage to try it on. Itâd only remind her of what she lost.Â
It seemed like time passed way too quickly when she heard a ring followed by light knocks on the door. You were here. Alessia's heart rate shot up. She didnât have enough time to get ready, or change out of her kit, let alone think about what to say, fuck was dinner made yet?Â
Her body moved before her mind caught up, and soon she stood right in front of the door, turning the handle.Â
Then she was met face to face with you. Happiness, guilt, frustration, and excitement, all rushed through her. She remembered that night at the club. How cold the apartment felt at night. It wasnât a home without you.Â
âHey, can I come in?â You asked, shifting nervously on your feet.
Alessia didnât know how long sheâd been staring at you, but quickly moved to the side to let you in.Â
God you missed her. When you stepped in, it was like this place was never touched, but you definitely noticed the smaller details, like a vase shoved into a corner, with the flowers you bought her sitting in it. Albeit wilting, but she still kept it.Â
You walked over to the kitchen table, and sat down. For the whole day, you rehearsed what you wanted to say, but your mind truly started to blank. The two of you sat in awkward silence, across from each other. You couldnât meet her eyes, and she couldnât yours. The two of you avoided eye contact, but Alessia couldnât hold in her words anymore.Â
âIâm really sorry,â Alessia started.Â
âI just-, it was completely inexcusable,â her voice now betrays her. âI hurt your trust, and everything we built. And, fuck,â she paused for a moment, trying to gain her composure.Â
âAnd youâre pregnant, I shouldâve never gone. Being drunk isnât an excuse,â Alessia continued to ramble through her soft cries. She hid her face in her hands, unable to actually look at you. Alessia thought she definitely looked pathetic now. A stupid cheater now crying for forgiveness. However, you just looked at her, for the first time in a week. She looked different. You always saw her as your smiley girl, who was always sporting the cutest smile, but now it was the opposite.Â
âLess, can you explain why,â you whispered. A week had passed yet the hurt didnât fade one bit. You were still a little reserved. What if this was a stunt to guilt trip you to get back together? The blonde across from you took two long breaths till she lifted her head to meet your eyes, tears still falling. She wiped it messily with her hands.Â
âThat night, I was drinking more than I was supposed to, and a girl came up to me and started to hit on me,â she paused for a moment for a hiccup, â then she kissed me and dragged me into a stall.â You were now staring with hurt evident in your eyes. That killed Alessia even more.Â
âAnd things got further from there, Iâd be lying to say I didnât want it at that moment,â her voice trailed off at the end. She looked at you timidly, but she just saw you in shambles. Her words wounded you even further. You thought the relationship was going well, why didnât she tell you if she was unsatisfied? Tears are also falling. The same tears she promised youâd never cry when the two of you got together.Â
âWhy?â your voice barely above a whisper, â I thought you wanted a family together?âÂ
Words caught in Alessiaâs throat.Â
âIâm sorry, she just came onto me, but it was no excuse. I do want a family together, I want to have the cutest little baby girl or boy running around,â the blonde replied, sounding desperate. Her world was slipping through her fingers, and she didnât know how to stop it.Â
âBut you knew how many appointments I went to. I dedicated my body and time to this. For our futureâ your voice started to raise. Anger was soon coursing through your veins. She knew how much you gave to start a family, and it seemed like she didnât give two shits. Was everything in this relationship a lie? Was this the first time or were there other girls before her?Â
âI hate you, Alessia Russo. You truly arenât the same person I met before,â you said, voice shaky.Â
I hate you. Those three words killed the blonde. Each word was like a dagger to the heart, as she bled out for you. Just a week ago she felt like she was on top of the world, now, sheâs nothing more than dirt on the bottom of her cleats. You stood up abruptly.Â
âIâm sorry Russo, but I donât think we could do this anymore. You broke my trust. You were my everything, but I was just your one time thing,â you looked down at her with glassy eyes, she looked back with pleading ones. Once again you took in her disheveled state. Her hair clung to her forehead, and the puffiness around her eyes. Her voice was broken and sore, and tear drops puddled on the table.Â
âYou are my everything, not a one time thing please do call yourself that. Iâm sorry, she just came onto me. Please love, how can I earn your trust back? I'll do anything. I miss you â She reached out for your hand, and you pulled it away. Her heart sunk even deeper at your action. Everything she said was honest. You were her world, and the mother to what couldâve been her future kid. The two of you shouldâve been happily engaged right now, planning the small details of the future.Â
âDonât call me that.â Seeing the blonde in such a state broke you as well, but you canât let her know.Â
âIâm not your love anymore. I think this is over Alessia, I canât do this,â your resolution was starting to fail. Hearing your nickname on her tongue made you want to forget all of this, and pretend it was just a nightmare. One where she would wake you up from and comfort you, telling you it was all a dream.Â
âNo, y/n we can, I promise you. Give me another chance please? Youâre all I have, I canât do anything without you,â she pleaded, standing up, reaching again from you.Â
This time you let her. You havenât felt her touch in you in a week. A week too long.Â
âIâm sorry, I canâtâ you looked back into her eyes. The same pretty blue ones that you fell for all those years ago when you both went to the same university. The college years were the two of you snuck your relationship around, hoping no one would find out. Then years later when the two of you moved back to England. You made sure to get a job around the area so the two of you were never too far away, just for it to result in this. All those years were wasted in vain.Â
âNo, please,â she replied, now more desperate. This couldnât be real. This heartbreak is nothing like she felt before. This oneâs more raw, filled with unadulterated emotions that claws at her every time sheâs alone. She didnât want to accept it.Â
âI need more time to think this through, and I donât think this family would work out.â No, no, no.Â
âCan you just stay for one more night? Please,â she said meekly, giving you pleading eyes. Eyes that carried days worth of regret, guilt, and self hatred.Â
You're hesitant at first. One more night would make it that much harder to leave. Underneath everything, you missed her. Her comforting presence, her smile, her everything.Â
âOnly for one night. Iâm leaving tomorrow morning.âÂ
You laid in the shared bed, her arms around you, and you against her chest. You hated how it made you feel. It was comforting, reassuring that everything was alright, but it wasnât. You cried into her arms, your emotions slipping out. The more hidden, locked away ones. Your fear and anxiety. How were you going to take care of this kid? Should you even have it? You spilled everything to her. The worst of all, how much you missed being so close to her. How her warmth against your skin made the world an alright place.Â
Alessia whispered reassurance into your ears, holding you even tighter. You hated her. Hated how she had such an effect on you. Everything about her. But you couldnât keep away. Maybe just for the night, you can pretend like it was before. The night that shouldâve been. You in her arms, and the promise of eternity between the two of you.Â
The morning time soon came. Light showed through the curtains, on Alessiaâs face, making her glow. Any other morning you wouldâve loved nothing more than to fall back asleep in the safety of her presence, but you couldnât. You pressed one last kiss on her forehead and whispered a goodbye.Â

Motorcycle Rides
Alessia Russo x Reader
Summary: You loved to ride motorcycles, but because of the risks, you never wanted to bring anyone else along, especially your girlfriend, Alessia, but after some thought, and delivery boxes, you found a way around it.
Warnings: None, Not proof read 1.6k words
You rode motorcycles for years now. You loved it for the thrill of high speeds, but you also understood the risks that came along. One wrong move would send you flying off your bike and sliding across the ground. You knew those risks and thrived off it. However, it was different when it came to Alessia.Â
She had asked to join you on your rides, wanting to feel the thrill also, but you were adamant to never let her on one. It was way too dangerous, and you couldnât live it down if she got injuries and put her career at risk. You thought over the possibility many times, though. Maybe if you bought her all the gear and the whole nine yards, youâd consider it. You started to scroll on your phone for some extra riding gear.Â
âHey love, whatâs with the packages at the door? What did you buy?â Alessia shouted from the doorway. She tugged the boxes inside, laying it on the living room floor. Alessia stood over them, with her hand on her hips. Did someone steal your Amazon account? You excitedly ran down the stairs, to see your girlfriend standing in the living room.Â
âThey finally arrived!âÂ
âWhat is it?â She looked at you questionly. In her mind, you probably bought some random furniture that would take another year to assemble, but the boxes were too small to be that, so what was it?Â
âIâll show you,â you patted the space next to you when you sat down at the couch, pulling one of the boxes towards you. Alessia sat down, still with a look of confusion in her face.Â
âSo you know how you wanted to go on rides with me?â you said, the gears in her mind starting to turn.Â
âNo wayâŠâ her eyes widened, and a smile started to form on her face.Â
âSo I may have bought some extra riding gear for you.â Alessia practically jumped up in excitement. Hurrying to grab some tool to open the boxes with. She excitedly ran back to the living room, almost tripping over the coffee table, and sat down by your side.Â
âCome on! Open it,â she said, barely able to contain her happiness. If youâd known how much this would mean to her, it probably made you do this earlier.Â
âHaha, slow down Alessia, these boxes arenât going to run away,â you smiled back, starting to open the first box. Alessia leaned onto your side, head on your shoulder, arm around your waist. It was adorable. You lifted the flaps on the cardboard box up to expose the helmet you purchased underneath. You splurged quite a bit on all the equipment, costing more than your own. But it was worth it for her safety.Â
You lifted the helmet out of the box and looked at Alessia, whose eyes were sparkling.Â
âWanna try it on?â offering the helmet over to the blonde. She shifted her body upright and moved her arm that was around your waist.Â
âYes! Of course,â she grabbed the helmet into her own hands, moving it around and looking at it. It had a sleek black design with a tinted visor that you bought alongside it. She looked back at you, a little awkwardly.Â
âWhats wrong, love?â Did she not like the style? You bought it with safety in mind, but also a sleek looking one.Â
âCan you help me put it on?â she asked sheepishly. You swore your heart melted at that. You got up, and stood in front of her with her helmet in your hands, and lined it up with her head. With a little bit of effort, you got it on, and flicked the visor up. Alessia looked adorable with her cheeks squished up, you couldn't help yourself but tease her for that.Â
âAww look at you my little chipmunk, hows the fit? Is it too tight?âÂ
â âs perfect,â she replied, voice muffled a bit by the helmet. You helped her take it off, and resumed opening up the rest of the gear. Pants, jacket, gloves, boots, everything you thought of, you got for her. Each piece of equipment she tried on, and loved. It was a little insight into your world, and got to know you more. Your interest in football bonded you two, but she always wanted to try out biking, and because she felt like a motorcycle racer with all the gear on.Â
At the end, Alessia put all the gear on, and did a little twirl in the living room excitedly. She could finally go on a ride with you!Â
âAlright, Less, Iâll go grab my stuff, and weâll head out, yeah?âÂ
âYup, I canât wait, love,â she responded.
You gave her a rundown of some things. Earlier you had installed an intercom system inside her helmet so the two of you could communicate on the road, so you told her how that worked. Then came the rules on your bike. She must hold you at all times and keep her foot on the foot pegs on the back. And if at any point she got nervous, you would stop.Â
âReady?âÂ
âBeen ready for years.âÂ
You started up your bike, and helped your girlfriend up, she leaned on your back, her hands tight around you. You pulled out of the garage, and turned onto the neighborhood street, going slowly. You didnât want to push any speed, still nervous about her being on the back. It was the start of the sunset, painting the sky in pretty orange hues that the two of you loved. You made a turn onto a bigger street, picking up a little more speed.Â
âWoah! This is amazing,â the intercom system buzzed. The cityscape mixed with the sunset was a sight to behold. So this is why you like riding so much, she felt so much freedom coasting through London.Â
âI know love, but not more than you,â you replied, earning yourself a little pinch on your thigh.Â
âYou're so cheesy,â she laughed, resting her head on your shoulder. Your two favorite things in the world are mixed together right now. Now you were headed onto the highway. Not the fastest one around, but still rather fast. You had a plan to head to one of the scenic places you loved to walk through but youâve never brought Alessia there, but due to the package opening taking longer than planned, this was the only way youâd make it with the sun still setting. You sped up on the ramp to match the speed on the highway.Â
âWhoa! We're going so fast,â her grip tightened impossibly around you, holding you close to her. Alessia did feel a little nervous at this speed, but she trusts you.Â
âAre you doing ok back there? I donât want this to be uncomfortable for you,â you replied, checking your shoulder before merging onto the highway.Â
âYeah,â
It was such an adrenaline rush to be at such high speeds, watching the city pass by.Â
âAlright, just keep holding onto me, we are almost there,âÂ
Then you arrived at this place filled with nature, coupled by lampposts, it was a perfect little area. You parked your bike, helping Alessia off. The light of the sun had completely vanished from the sky, leaving only the moon, shining above, but it was peaceful. This place is normally packed in the morning, but not many visit at night time, thatâs why you loved it so much. You turned to look at the blonde, struggling to take her helmet off, and you let out a little giggle.Â
âNeed some help there?â you teased, helping her to remove her helmet. The blonde hair was a little messy, and face pink from her fight with it.Â
âThanks,â she replied. Alessia looked around the park, and fell in love with it. The fall time had made the leaves shades of red, alongside the quietness and ambient light from the lampposts, it looked as if it was from a fairy tale. Behind her, you took your own helmet off, and carried both of them along with you. Alessia protested for her to carry her own, but you didnât let her. Sheâs been busy with the start of the season recently, so any small thing you could do to make her day easier, you did. The walk through the park was better than you expected. It was just the two of you, sharing this moment together, talking about whatever happened recently and recalling old stories. In the middle of the park, sat a fountain, and it was gorgeous.Â
âHey, less, could I take a photo of you in front of that fountain, for memories you know,â you smiled at her. She looked so perfect, the warm hues from the light coupled by the messy hair, it was all surreal to you. You wanted this moment to last forever, though you knew it couldnât, but a picture would do.Â
âOf course,â she replied, standing in front of the camera and smiling. You took a few, one zoomed out with the fountain in the background, and one closer up of just her, smiling at you.Â
âI want one together,â she replied, motioning you towards her. How could you say no? She took out her phone, and took a picture together, your arm around her, and hers around you. Soon you both left the fountain to make the trip back to your bike.Â
âHey, how does ice cream sound?â you asked, turning around to look at her. The blonde's eyes lit up.Â
âYes, that sounds amazing,â trying to play off her excitement, how could someone be this cute?Â
When you got there, you both put in your orders and you whipped out your phone to pay before Alessia could.Â
âThe least I could do is pay for ice cream,â she pouted.Â
âToday's on me, love, you deserve everything,â you replied.Â
âBut tomorrowâs on me,â she replied with determination in her eyes. That night she fell impossibly harder in love with you, and you did her. Though your wallet didnât forgive you, but it was worth it for all the rides to come.Â

You Were Once Mine
Alessia Russo x Reader ( Requested )
Summary: What was supposed to be a celebration went wrong. You planned on announcing your pregnancy and preposing, but Alessia, caught up in the moment, had lost it all, when she kissed that girl back.
Warnings: Angst! a lot of it, swearing, intoxicated bad decisions, 2.8k words, Not proof read! based off this request Part 2
The Lionesses had just won the Euros. It seemed like it was impossible, with so many close calls, but they had done it. The confetti rained down from the sky as Alessia looked up. Everyone cheered for them, and in the crowd, you did too. Once again, the trophy was brought home, back to England. She looked for you, in the sea of people. You were sitting with her family, screaming at the top of your lungs for her. This sense of pride, washing over you. She was your soon to be fiance, the ring you had picked out, now sitting in your nightstand below some junk, and the mother to the new baby girl. This was it, she was the one.Â
The celebration had died down, just a tad while people went home. Her family had moved onto the field, searching for the blonde. You wanted to tell her that the IVF had worked, after so long. You had just found out that morning. She deserved to hear it first. None of her family members knew, only you. Maybe tonight was the night, or tomorrow morning. You trailed a little behind her family members as you walked across the field. Then you saw her.Â
Alessia was glowing, some sweat had clung to her forehead, and her face was a light shade of pink, but she looked so perfect. You couldnât wait to spend the rest of your life with her. Your soon to be family found her and congratulated her. You waited your turn, smiling at the scene in front of you.Â
âCongragulations Alessia, I always knew you would do big things,â her mother said, holding her tightly.Â
âThanks, mom.â Then her attention turned to you, arms wide open, looking at you like you were her world. You went into her embrace. She was warm, smelled like grass, but undoubtedly yours. The world went quiet, it was just the two of you. Your champion, soon to be fiance and the mother of your kids.Â
âIâm so proud of you baby, I love you so much,â you whispered into her ear, placing a little kiss.Â
âIt was for you, thank you for being able to be here and supporting me,â she replied. As much as she was your world, you were hers. You pulled away slowly, looking at her face.Â
âGo celebrate tonight, yeah? Your team is waiting for you, my champion,â you said. Alessia felt a small wave of sadness going through her. She wanted to spend the night with you, especially after such a long summer without you, but her teammates were waiting for her.Â
âBut I really want to spend the night with you,â she pouted, moving back in to lay her forehead on your shoulder.Â
âHaha, come on love, tonight just for you and the girls, tomorrow will be ours yeah? You worked hard, itâs time to relax, love,â you replied, moving your hand on her back in a soothing motion. Reluctantly, Alessia pulled away, and kissed you goodbye. You and her family watched her disappear into the locker rooms, and presumably to a club downtown.Â
âI hope she gets some sense and puts a ring on that finger,â Gergio said, nudging you with his elbow. He had a smile on his face, just so proud that his sister is doing so well.Â
âMaybe Iâll beat her to it, and one ends on herâs first,â you replied, hinting at your plans in a few days. Her whole family looked at you, eyes wide.Â
âYouâre gonna propose?â her mom asked excitedly.Â
âOnly after I get your blessings,â you looked at them nervously.Â
âA hundred and ten percent yes, Iâve never seen Less so happy with someone, you really brought a light to her,â he said without hesitation. The rest of her family nodded in agreement. That little bit of reassurance was all you needed. Tomorrow night, it was going to be it.Â
When Alessia got back into the locker rooms, a lot of the players were already there, changed into some sweats and a t- shirt, ready to party for the night. The blonde followed suit and the team loaded onto a bus and headed to downtown.Â
Alcohol started to flow freely through the team at the club. After all, they had worked so hard for so long, why not let loose?Â
âHey the first round of shots is on me, Captains gift,â Leah shouted, earning her cheers from the team. Around after around, Alessia definitely felt it get to her, along side her teammates. Ella was already singing her heart out infront of the whole club, while dancing along with the music. Lucy and Grace egging her on. The blonde watched from the crowd, soaking it all in. Thereâs the streak of proudness running through her, once again, she brought it home. Now shes feeling all woozy and relaxed, and a goofy smile on her face.Â
âHey, pretty girl, nice tournament you played,â Alessia heard from behind. She turned around instinctively, meeting face to face with shorter girl. She had worn a particulary scandalous outfit along side with the flirty hand that was resting on the blondes arm, batting her eye lashes at the athlete.Â
âAre you here all alone? Need some company?â she said, getting even closer. Alessia knew she shouldnât do this, but in her tipsy state, she didnât know what to do. Then she leaned in closer, kissing the blonde on the lips. She tasted like the fruity cocktail she was sipping on. When the girl pulled away, she lightly bit the blondes lower lip, and the rest was a blur. The blonde followed her into the bathroom, wanting more. You did tell her to have fun right? This was her way of letting loose and having fun.Â
Clothes fell off hurriedly as Alessia craved her touch. Arms roaming over her body, wanting to hear more of the noises she made. She dipped her fingers inside the girl expertly, bringing her to a sweet release. Alessia looked at the girl in her arms, all submissive in her arms, clinging onto her like she was her lifeline. At that moment, it felt all so wrong, sobriety washing over her. Why the fuck did she do this? She felt disgusting. Why the hell was she even here instead of with you? Alessia abruptly pushed the girl away from her, rushing to wash her hands off of the guilt that was left on it and hurried out into the club. The blonde wanted you right now, not this stupid party and mistakes, but she couldnât, she had to be there for her teammates.Â
Alessia returned to her table, feeling emptiness. How would you react to this? She wanted to cry and throw up at the same time, yet she was angry at herself. Why did she do this? At any moment she couldâve stopped it, but she kept going, wanting more. Her head was covered by her hands, as she leaned back onto the table, tears threatening to wash over. In this one night, she ruined everything with you. She couldnât be so untruthful to no tell you this, itâd simply claw away at her too much, you deserved better. At the same night she was suppose to be on top of the world, she felt like rubbish, meant to be discarded.Â
You laid in bed, unable to contain your excitement tomorrow. Youâd celebrate with the bus through the city, and that night? It was going to be perfect. You planned it all out, down to the tiniest details, and even bought the flowers for it. You smiled at the thought, this was it, she was going to be yours for the rest of your life, you even started to dream about the wedding. How perfect it would be to see her walk down in that white dress, tears threatening to spill, not out of sadness, but of the overwhelming emotions. You were snapped out of it through a ping on your phone.Â
â-----
Leah W: Hey, are you and Less still ok?Â
â-----
You were confused by her message, and all of a sudden too? What happened? The two of you were more than ok, you even planned a proposal.Â
â-----
You: Whatâs wrong Leah?Â
â-----
Anxiety creeped through you. Arenât they suppose to be celebrating right now? You kept overthinking it over and over again. You didnât want to think of the worse possible answer right now. Then another ping.Â
â-----
Leah W: I just saw some girl kiss Less then pull her towards the bathrooms, not sure if you guys had broken things off or not.Â
â-----
Your heart instantly sank. This couldnât be possible. Alessia was yours, only hours ago did you see her. No way she wouldâve cheated on you. That wasnât your Alessia. You knew it, but Leah wouldnât be one to start drama like this. You were now sitting up in your bed, tears now flowing freely down your face. This isnât possible. Ping
â-----
Leah W: sent you an image
You: No, this isnât possible. No way Lessi would do that to me, Leah please say youâre joking.Â
Leah W: Iâm sorry this was how it ended, I promise you she would get a talking to from the team.Â
â-----
The photo was damning. It was taken right when the blonde kissed her. Leah had taken her phone out for some memory photos when she spotted Alessia, and the stranger near her. You continued to break down on the bed. The one the two of your shared, in the apartment the two of you lived in. It was all too much. Youâd been such a fool for wanting to marry her. And for fuck sakes, you were pregnate with her kid. The world felt as if it was crashing down on you. Air felt thick in your lungs, as you started cry even harder. It hurt. So damn bad. You stayed like that for hour. At the end, you just felt so empty. Your heart just hurts. You didnât know if you wanted Alessia to just comfort you and tell you it was all a prank, or to just get the hell out of your life, telling her how much she ruined you. But one thing was for sure, you couldnât stay here any longer.Â
You dug through your closet to find a small duffel bag where you shoved everything you needed into. You did one last walk through of your apartment. Her night stand had some candid photos of her family and the two of you. In your nightstand, laid the ring that now has no purpose, next to the ultrasound pictures. You took the ring in your hands, and just looked at it. You went through hours of work into getting the perfect ring size and design without her knowing. It shined so bright in the light, and laid in the perfect velvet box. With a heavy heart, you threw it into the trash. Selling it would simple hurt too much. The doorway had her cleats, and the closet had her clothes, it made you all that heart broken to leave it all behind.Â
You got into your car and drove. To where? It would be decided later, but it was better to leave now.Â
â-----
You: I thought we had something.Â
â-----
That was the last text you sent before you blocked Alessia, with a heavy heart and puffy eyes.
In the club, Alessia was still wallowing in her shame, guilt, and anger. The night was already over for her, she wanted to go home. Where she could be in your arms. Her phone buzzes in her pocket. When she pulled it out, your contact was the first notification there. She felt a tinge of happiness, followed by a deep sense of guilt.Â
â-----
Lovie <3: I thought we had something.Â
â-----
Her heart sank to her stomach. You knew already, and with the fact that you blocked her. She wanted to throw up. Everything that she built in the past years of her life with you, was gone, because of a stupid decision. Alessia couldnât hold it in anymore, tears now falling down her face. She felt emotionless, yet so overwhelmed. You were her everything, and who she hoped to be the mother of her kids. All thrown away because she couldnât control her drunk self. The blonde never hated herself so much until that moment. She felt like she was nothing but a cheater who just blew her life up.Â
Alessia hurriedly got up and left. She wanted needed to find you, and beg for you back. Thereâs no way she could picture a future without you in it. In her intoxicated state, she was a mess of emotions. The uber that she ordered soon arrived and she got in, rushing home. All she arrived at was a place that was far too cold. One without your presence to make this place truly a home. In the kitchen trash, she saw the bundles of flowers, and what lay on top, a small velvet box. It couldnât be what she thought it was. Hesitation and a mix of agony was inside her, battling with each other to open it. Then she did.Â
Inside, lie the ring that she dreamed about. The perfect shape, color, and design. This time, she couldnât control the bile rising up in her throat. She rushed to the sink, and sank to the floor after. You had got her a ring, you wanted to make Alessia your wife for the rest of your life. The blonde had no energy left inside of her. She was empty, cold, and felt lost. She managed to make her way to the couch before falling asleep.Â
Days passed. You traveled cross town and stayed at a hotel there to clear your mind before approaching this situation again. You tried to work through your heartbreak, but it was getting nowhere. Everything went back to her, and since the Lionesses had won the Euros, Alessia was everywhere. On every ad you saw, every bulletin board, it was hard. You missed her so fucking badly, maybe you could forget all of this and return to normal, and have the family the two of you always wanted. You went to a convenience store to pick up some more snacks for the couple of more days you planned on staying at the hotel.Â
You looked at some of the crisps they had on the shelves, when you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turn your head, to see a familiar face. It was Alessiaâs brother. Under his gaze, you felt a bit awkward, like what were you going to say? Oh, yeah your sister just cheated on me and now Iâm depressed as hell?Â
âHey, how are you doing?â It was casual, but there was genuine worry in his voice. No one has been able to contact you since you left a couple of days ago, and here you are standing in front of what you thought would be your brother-in-law.Â
âHonestly, not good,â the tiredness was prevalent in your voice.Â
âNot healthy food for the two of us, but hey, its better than nothing.â You saw him pause for a second, before speaking again.Â
âThe two of you?â Shit. You accidently let it slip out, but sooner or later you thought of telling them, just not in a convenience store across town.Â
âYeah, well, we thought it would be a good time to settle down and plan our future together, and what we saw were kids. Then we decided on IVF treatments, and it went from there.â When he heard those words, his eyes widened.Â
âYou are pregnant?" he nearly shouted out for the whole store to hear. Georgio undoubtedly was excited to be the uncle to your kids, but not in this situation. He thought he better talk some sense back into Alessia for cheating on you, a stern talking to. The two of you talked about some other things before you left. When Georgio got back into his car, he immediately whipped out his phone.Â
â-----
Georgio: You fucked up big time Alessia Russo.Â
Lessi girl: I know, and I hate myself for it.Â
Georgio: Yeah couldâve considered that knowing your girlfriend was pregnant.Â
Lessi girl: What?!Â
â-----
The past few days, Alessia had been a shell of the person she was. She now had the free time she wished for, and she hated it. It left her alone with her thoughts, and the absence of you. Her days went by mindlessly, the heart break taking a toll on her. But when she got that text from Georgio, she broke down again.Â
You were carrying a precious baby inside of you. The one she wanted to raise and be there for, but now, it was all just a dream. She cried into her hands. Alessia wanted nothing more than to be with you. But she messed up. And now, she canât go back.Â

Alessia Russo x reader
Summary: Russo was a headlining transfer to Arsenal. It was natural that she would be a little nervous around everyone, however itâs been a month and she was warmed up around everyone but you?
Warnings: none, fluff, some swears, 2.2k words Not proof read!!
The relationship between you and Alessia had always been awkward. She always stuttered a bit, fingers always brushing when handing each other training bibs, or always being partners for drills. Neither of you were close to each other, often exchanging a few words during training and lunch. Youâd assume she just wasnât that comfortable around you, and you were fine with that. The blonde never looked in your eyes for long when you guys talked face to face, preferring to look anywhere but. She also seemed clumsier than normal, oftentimes tripping over nothing when youâre nearby.Â
Honestly you felt bad for the poor girl. It seemed like she was a wreck anytime you were around, and you didnât know why.Â
Alessia on the other hand, knew exactly why. She was head over heels for you.Â
Her eyes would always drift towards you during training then quickly look away when you looked towards her. The strikers always reasoned with herself that it was because she tried to study the way you played and technique. Totally not because you looked hot doing it. It was all to understand football better! Nothing more, not like her heart skips a beat whenever you are around.
However, as much as she wished she could tell you, she feared that it would change team dynamics too much. What if you didnât like her back? Then it would be awkward on the team between you two, not like it already wasnât. Truth be told, you thought she was cute being so nervous around you, but maybe it was because she was the new transfer that came from United recently. It does take time to be comfortable especially since it was such a controversial move. But you tried to make her feel more welcomed, trying to pair up with her more often or inviting her to sit next to you during lunch. Nothing seemed to work, and you were starting to get a little worried. Yeah it was cute, but being this nervous for so long? Maybe it just took a while for her to get around.Â
Tonight, everyone was celebrating a win in a local club known for parties. Katie was already drunk before you guys got there, claiming it was âjust a small drink.â The mood was like any other celebration. Itâd been a tough game, going back and forth the whole time but the team managed to pull through. This was definitely needed to relax and unwind. Caitlin, Beth, Leah, and Kyra were all sitting in a booth near the back, all looking amused at Katieâs drunken singing.Â
âTook yeâ long enough! The party was almost over,â Katie said, slinging an arm over your shoulder. The Irish woman was always in the mood to let loose.Â
âHaha, come on Katie! Itâs only 8 and youâre already drunker than everyone here,â you laughed. Caitlyn came to your rescues soon after.Â
âCome on love, letâs go sit down for a bit, yeah?â An annoyed huff left Katie. If left to her own devices, she could party for hours on end. She reluctantly left the dance floor and followed behind Caitlyn to where the group was originally sitting. The team had been spread out through the club, Alessia was sitting with Lotte and Kim in a booth not far from you, and the rest were sitting at the bar top.Â
Conversation flowed throughout your group, mostly talking about how life is going. Then it went more towards everyoneâs personal lives, mainly dating.Â
âHey y/n, I think youâre the only single one in this group right now!â Beth teased.Â
âYeah how come you ainât got a girl yet?â Katie joined. By now, the conversation caught Alessiaâs attention. She was definitely eavesdropping, the blonde wanted to know more about you. What was your type? Did you like guys? Girls? Blondes? She wanted to know, but it was all in the name of getting to know you better. Definitely nothing else. Lotte seemed to notice the shift in attention from the striker.Â
âHello? Less? Back to earth,â she said, waving her hand a little in front of the blonde's face.Â
âUhh nothing, what did you say again?â Less replied, trying to play it off.Â
âI was talking about how youâd get along with the team?â Their conversation returned to normal. Once in a while, the striker would listen in on your conversation again.Â
âI guess itâs not that I canât get any girl, itâs just I want to wait for the right one you know,â you laughed.Â
âOk yeah, I believe you,â Leah egged on, obviously being a little drunk.Â
âYeah y/n, how about you try with that bartender right there! I bet you 10 pounds you couldnât get her number,â Kyra continued. You, ever so confident, didnât want to prove to them that you could, and maybe even win a free drink out of it.Â
âYou donât have to if you donât wanna,â Caitlin added. She wasnât drinking tonight, opting to keep her girlfriend out of trouble.Â
âHaha, itâs ok Cait, I wanted to get some free drinks anyways,â you winked back. You headed over to the bar, while Alessia watched. She hadn't caught the last bit of your conversation, and assumed you went to get a second round for everyone. To her horror, you started to flirt with the bartender. It started innocently, you approaching the bar, calling one of the girls over.Â
âHey pretty girl, howâs it going?â You asked smoothly, putting on a smile.Â
âItâs going pretty good tonight, congrats on your win by the way!â She replied, smiling back at you. You leaned in slightly.Â
âI couldnât help but notice what a pretty girl like you was doing here,â you said, head tilting a little bit, and biting your lip.Â
âHaha thank you!â The girl replied nervously, cheeks heating up. Bingo.Â
âHey so how about you give me your phone number so we can talk later?â You said, giving a wink. She quickly scribbled down her number and handed it to you. You deliberately brushed your fingers against hers for a second too long. You put the piece of paper into your pocket.
âWould you guys like any free drinks?â She offered, eyes bright.Â
âIf you wouldnât mind love.â A minute later she handed you some drinks. As you walked away, you gave her a little wink and mouthed, âIâll call you.â She stood there flustered behind. You returned to your group proud of your self.Â
âAnd thatâs how you do it! You gotta take tips from a professional!â You beamed.Â
âYeah, yeah, take tips from the only single person here, got it,â Leah teased. You held your hand out for Katie as she reluctantly pulled out 10 pounds. The group all laughed and continued on with the night. For Alessia however, it had been a different story.Â
She watched you go up to the blonde bartender and flirt with her. What? The bartender looked swooned by you, and what was the piece of paper? Did she give you her number? No way! And you winked at her? No, the blonde couldnât have this. She seethed internally. She wished it was you flirting with her like that, touching her hand, winking at her.Â
She was jealous. The alcohol was starting to cloud her judgement as she abruptly got up and headed over to your table. Lotte was left surprised as she watched the striker head over to you.Â
âHey less where are you-â the defender was cut off as Alessia ignored her.Â
You saw Alessia start to head over to your table. Maybe sheâs starting to feel comfortable, you thought.
âHey Less, how is it going?â You said. The group turned their attention to the blonde.Â
âItâs going great, Iâm wondering if you could go up and get a drink with me?â Alessia replied, shifting in her shoes nervously while her hand was rubbing the back of her neck. It was absolutely adorable to see.Â
âYeah of course!â You immediately replied, getting up to follow her. The group gave you guys a curious glance before quickly returning to their conversation. The walk to the bar wasnât far but the blonde was following close behind. Everything about her you thought was the cutest thing in the world. Her smile, to how nice she was, it all drew you in. And right now, her anxiousness to order at a bar was making your crush on her all that much harder to avoid.Â
When you got there, the bartender from earlier already recognized you, and waved. Alessiaâs jaws clenched when she saw her. Instinctively, she leaned closer to you right next to you.Â
âBack so soon?â The bartender spoke in a flirty tone.Â
âYup, I gotta help this girl to order,â you gestured back to the blonde standing with her front close to your shoulder. Alessia tried to give her best smile, but she absolutely hated this bartender.Â
âNo problem, what does she want?âÂ
âVodka cranberry on the rocks please.â She said flatly, staring daggers at the bartender that you didnât catch.Â
âAnd anything for you, pretty girl?â She asked, biting her lip while looking at you. That angered Alessia even more.Â
âIâm good for the night, thank you.â You replied. A second later You felt a possessive arms hugging you from behind, hands resting on your hip. Your heart skipped a beat, you tried to turn to look at her before the girl rested her head in the crook of your neck. Fuck. You nearly choked on your spit and stiffened in her arms. Whatâs gotten into her? Your face started to heat up as you finally found your voice.Â
âAre you ok Lessi?â You asked. She was so warm and comfy that you almost rathered to say nothing and let this moment drag on longer.Â
In her drunken state, this was the only way to get that bartender to back off of you. To know that you were hers even though you guys werenât dating.Â
âI didnât know you liked bartenders,â voice a little muffled by your neck.Â
âI donât, why do you ask?â you leaned into her arms just a little further. You could tell the type of shampoo she used. Youâve never even held a full length conversation, and now she was cuddled into you.Â
âWell you were flirting with her,â she replied, still holding you close to her. What? Well you were but only to win a stupid bet. You were confused, did she want the bartender? Then if she wanted her then why would she be holding you? It couldnât be, was she jealous?Â
âLess, are you jealous?â You knew your answer when she pushed her face into your neck harder and her arms tightened around you. If it werenât for her face being covered, it wouldâve had the pinkest hue to it. Your face had the exact same color to it. The whole club seemed to go quiet for a moment as she held you.Â
âI just donât like the way you flirt with other girls,â voice still muffled. Does that mean she liked you too? Before you could answer, the bartender came back with her drink.Â
âHere you are,â she noticed the striker's arms around you, and awkwardly excused herself. Alessia lifted her head to give the bartender a smug grin.Â
âThank you,â the striker replied, taking the drink and unwrapping herself from you. Instantly you missed the warmth of her arms. You turned to look at her. Damn she looked so beautiful. Her hair was a little messy, wide eyed, and had the most perfect smile.Â
âWhatâs up with you tonight?â This was her moment. She took a little sip from her drink before she confessed.Â
âI really like you and would you like to go out to dinner some times? You can say no of course but-â her rambling was interrupted.Â
âYes Less, I would love to.â You saw her eyes light up.Â
âReally?âÂ
âYes really, you goof, letâs get back before the girls notice we were gone for too long.â You held her hand and guided her through the crowd and back to her table before returning to yours. You were met with whistling and smug grins.Â
âY/N I didnât know you had that in you!â You were confused for just a second before everything clicked.Â
âY/n and Alessia sitting in a tree-â Leah sang before you quickly shushed her, now dying of embarrassment.Â
"At least now I have the best girl by my side,â you beamed with a lovesick smile.Â
âUhhh thatâs debatable," you heard them say, followed by a slew of reasons why their girlfriends were the best.Â
The night was coming to an end as everyone started to leave. You left with Cait and Katie, and Less left with Lotte. You still felt those butterflies in your stomach from hours ago while you laid on your bed staring at the ceiling.Â
âââ-
You: I hope you got home safeÂ
Alessia: yes I did thank you :)Â
You: Goodnight then, lessi <3Â
Alessia: You too! <3Â
âââ-
Training was set for 7 am the next morning. Everyone was a little hung over except the few that were in charge of rides. By then the news of you and Alessia was everywhere during practice. The whole team knew basically the moment they stepped into practice because Katie couldnât stop talking about it.Â
âââ-
Alessia: Everyone knowsÂ
You: Let them <3 btw the bartender charged me for every âfreeâ drink I got last night :(Â
Alessia: augh ew donât bring up that bartender again, but it was a little bit of a ass move hahaÂ
You: it was but it led to you :)Â
Alessia: youâre such a cheese ball
You: you arenât any better, lessiÂ

Mini you
Alessia Russo x reader (requested)
Summary: A planned date night went awry as Alessia's niece needed a baby sitter. However, the date night isn't ruined, it turned out better than you thought.
Warning: None, fluff, 1.5k words Not proofread! Base on this request
Alessia always adored her niece, Rosa. Always volunteering to babysit whenever sheâs free. Thatâs how it ended up here, one of your date nights, now filled with baby sitting duty. You were disappointed, yes, it had been the first night in a while that would only be you two, but now, itâs the three of you.Â
âIâm sorry baby, I couldnât say no!â Alessia said, giving you her best puppy eyes.Â
âCome on Lessi, you knew it was our date night for at least a week now,â you replied, pushing her face away softly. She pouted sitting next to you on the couch, before she could say anything else, the doorbell rang. The blonde sprang up, and went right to the door. When she opened it, you saw her sister-in-law holding the cutest little baby in the world.Â
âAww, hi sweetheart, I missed you,â Alessia cooed at the baby. She took her out of her mothers arms into her own.Â
âThank you so much Less, weâll be back tomorrow morning,â the sister-in-law said, before they said their goodbyes and the door shut. All your previous annoyance went away when she brought baby Rosa over. It looked like a little version of Alessia. She had the brightest blue eyes, just like her, alongside that Russo smile. You looked at her with this look of adoration on your face that Alessia definitely noticed.Â
âNot so annoyed anymore, hm?â she teased, earning her a light punch on her arm.Â
âShe looks like a mini you,â you said with wonder as your eyes moved up towards Lessiâs face.Â
âI mean, yeah it is my brother's baby,â she joked. Rosa had become a little more restless in Alessiaâs arm, reaching out to play.Â
âCan I hold her?âÂ
âYeah of course, love.â You reached out, unsure of your movements. You hadnât held a kid before, so this was completely new, but Alessia was there, grounding you.Â
The blonde handed her over to you, gently placing her in your arms. Rosa moved around a little bit but soon settled into your lap, blabbering something to you. It was magical, you couldnât believe this tiny little thing would be a full grown person in a couple of years. You reached a finger towards her outstretched hands, and she grabbed onto it. Your eyes widened at that, how could she be so cute?Â
Grabbed onto her tiny hand and moved it around waving to yourself, earning you a squeal of excitement from Rosa. Alessia propped herself up on her hand as she leaned on the couch, looking at you with a fond smile. You leaned back onto the couch, and brought Rosa up in your hands, pretending she was flying, causing her to laugh even louder. Alessia had gotten up a little bit ago, maybe to prepare dinner.Â
You had an idea, remembering you had a tiny soccer ball somewhere in your room. You picked up baby Rosa and walked into your room to search for it, when you found it her eyes also lit up almost like she was born a football player like her aunts. You walked back to the living room, setting the ball down on the carpet.Â
âYou're gonna become a football player just like your aunties right?â you said happily you sat down on the carpet with Rosa in front of you. You rolled the ball to her feet where she was sitting. She moved her feet a tiny bit, and had the widest smile on her face.Â
âWoah! You're a natural born, Rosa.â You said, as you moved to pick her up where her feet were still on the ground. You moved her over to the soccer ball and she kicked her leg out.Â
âWow! Look at you go my football player,â you laughed bringing her into your chest for a hug. Rosa laughed in your arms squirming around. Then you heard a light knock on the wall.Â
âHey dinners ready, loves,â Alessia said, leaning against the wall. You quickly picked up Rosa in your arms and walked over to your girlfriend, placing a kiss on her cheek.Â
âThank you, babe.âÂ
Dinner was set out for the two of you, and a high chair for Rosa. It was adorable. Alessia helped you put the little girl into the high chair, and moved to pull out your chair. The blonde moved to her side, and sat, helping her niece start her dinner. It was all so domestic that made your heart swell double the size. It was definitely a messy dinner with the little girl covered in food, and needing a bath. The both of you let her play with her food a little bit more after knowing sheâs full, and ate your own dinner.Â
âI didnât know you were so good with kids,â Alessia said, in between her bites. You look up at her, and thereâs this adoration in her eye for you.Â
âI try my best, itâs hard not to when she looks like a mini you, Iâd love to have a mini you running around,â you replied, not understanding the whole weight behind those words. Alessia paused for a moment, did she hear you right? She kept looking at you, deep in thought, wondering if you wanted the same thing as her. It was interrupted when Rosa started to get sleepy in her chair.Â
âDoes she need a bath tonight? I mean, I have never seen someone wear so much food,â you joked, wiping a little bit of apple sauce from the girl's cheek.Â
âYeah, I think that would be good.âÂ
Bathtime was another playground for the two of you. There were some shark toys that were left here from a while ago that the two of you played with. The girl was fighting off her sleepiness to stay awake and play for longer. The two of you noticed that, and wrapped up bathtime and put her to bed. Youâd gone to take a shower right after as Alessia rocked Rosa to sleep.Â
Even though this date night hadnât gone to plan, the blonde thought this one went even better. She adored the way you were with Rosa. How gentle and kind you were, like you were made to be a mother. Then it hit her, she really wanted to start a family with you. The way you handled Rosa looked like it was all natural. Then the one off comment during dinner, did you want the same thing too? As she thought about it, the more clear her future became. It would always end up with the two of you having children, watching them grow into adults, then growing old together. That night proved to her that you were the one, the right person.Â
Rosa was quickly asleep, as Alessia moved to the shared bedroom. You walked out of the bathroom at that time, showing the happiest smile towards the blonde.Â
âGonna take a shower?âÂ
Alessia took the offer. In the shower she was deep in thought. It was so heart warming the way you were so kind and amazing with Rosa, what would you be like with your own kids? Alessia knew long ago she wanted a family, but only with the right person. And that was you. As she thought deeper, she wondered who they would take after, would they be a footballer like you and Alessia? Or would they do something else? The main problem would be if you wanted the same?Â
She stepped out of the bathroom, and saw you sitting on your shared bed. She didnât want this to break the relationship. Alessia got into bed, and pulled you into her.Â
âI want to tell you something.âÂ
âWhat is it, Less?âÂ
âWhere do you see us in the future?â It was an open ended question, giving you leeway if you didnât feel the same like she did. Alessia didnât want to force this idea on you if you werenât ready, or didnât want it.Â
âI see us like what we were tonight, with a cute little kid running around,â you said, pulling away and smiling at her. The whole of the afternoon you had your mind on having your own kids together one day. Waking up in the morning, making breakfast as you hear feet running into the kitchen. Then excitedly say good morning while sitting at the table. It was all you ever wanted.Â
âI really do too, love. When I saw how you were with Rosa today, it just solidified that idea within me. Y/n, I want to start a family with you in a few years.â That confession hung in the air for a heart beat, allowing just enough time for Alessia to wonder if she over stepped.Â
âIâd love to, more than anything, Alessia.â You pushed your face even closer to her chest, hearing her elevated heartbeat. It was everything you ever wanted, an amazing wife followed by equally amazing children. She held you tightly towards her chest. Alessia would say sheâs the luckiest girl in the world, but youâd argue you were. This was perfect, and with the perfect girl.Â

So Close Yet So Far Part 2
Alessia Russo x reader
Summary: On a trip to England, you never expected to see Alessia again. Itâs been forever, has she gotten over you and moved on?
Warnings: swears, kinda toxic relationship? Two people with lots of misscommunication. Not proofread, sorry if there are some mistakes, 4.6k words. First part can be found here.
âLessi?â You replied, breathless.
It was actually her. The one that you loved hopelessly for so long to no avail. You thought you were over her, but you werenât. The lonely time of yearning for her, hoping for a call, maybe a text, but nothing. And now? It looked like she moved on, while you were left behind. The little girl looked just like a little version of her. The same blue eyes youâd recognize anywhere. Thatâs when it hit you, she moved long ago, probably with that man from the headline.
âIs it truly you?â she said, eyes widening. To say she was shocked was an understatement. Ever since last year, she wanted to reach you, reassure you, and comfort you, telling you that everything was false and that her heart truly belonged to you. But she had no way of contacting you. The blonde felt like she was deserving of it all. She was wrong to text you so rarely, and barely even call. Alessia understood where you came from, guilt and shame washing over her. Itâs been forever, you probably got over her. It took everything in her to not break apart at that moment. She forced herself to try and act fine, seeing that you were.
âHaha yeah, and youâre Alessia Russo, â you replied, trying to put on your coolest facade, like the breakup did nothing to you. Internally, you were freaking out.
âYup and baby sitting my niece for the weekend,â she replied, moving a hand to rub the back of her neck. Some relief washed over you, knowing that it wasnât her kid that she was with. Truth be told, it hadnât been a year since you last blocked her, but in your panic, your mind raced towards any negative explanation. But that didnât explain everything. The way she was casually talking to you like nothing happened.
An awkward silence passed between you two until the bell rang again. The three of you turned towards the noise, and your date passed through the doors. She looked around until she saw you in the corner and walked over and pulled out the seat in front of you sitting down. The striker quickly dismissed herself from your corner with a small wave and walked away to another table nearby. She tried to put on this facade of being alright in front of her niece, but in actuality, her heart broke at the sight of the other girl in front of you. Did you really move on?
Alessia was deserving of this. She had been such an absent girlfriend, you needed better than her. Tears threatened to drop as she continued to glance over at your date. Your date looked perfect for you. The girl seemed like she was a little shorter than you, brunette with the chocolate eyes. Her head was resting on her hand, head slightly tilted and looking at you with the sweetest smile. Everything she couldnât be. You looked equally interested in her. Alessia couldnât bear the sight of on a date with someone who wasnât her. She longed to be on that side of the table where that girl was again, looking at you like you were her world. You still were her world, but she wasnât yours. Her thoughts kept running for another minute until she decided that she couldnât take this anymore. The blonde got up and left without another glance towards you, knowing it would only hurt her more if she did.
The bells rang once again when she left. Your eyes followed her as she left, feeling a pit of emptiness. Any chance you had with her was now dead. The girl sitting across from you was nice, but it wasnât her. Maybe you should move on, Alessia seemed like she didnât care, maybe she moved on already, she was always a catch, thereâs no way she doesnât already belong to someone else. You continued on with your date, maybe it was time to settle down, you still had schooling ahead of you, and just your luck, she was also on a trip and lived in the same state as you. She was nice enough, Alice was it? It wasnât Alessia, but nobody could truly be her.
The date went smoothly. She was truly a good girl, never really did anything bad, had some siblings, and is an engineer, nothing that you wouldnât mind. She even offered to pay for the coffees, giving you a smile saying youâll pay for the next date. Alice was perfect, but you truly couldnât see a future with her, youâll simply force yourself to.
The days went by in a blur, some one off texts from Alice, and some hangouts with your friends. All you wanted to do was go back home, to the States, away from Alessia. It opened up old wounds and smeared salt on them just knowing she might reappear. You planned on being here for one more month before heading back. That month seemed to crawl by. There were the same dates here and there with Alice. One on a rooftop of a restaurant, another to a museum, and last one to a park. It felt wrong knowing that you werenât interested in her, while she gave everything for you. But those feelings will die down, you told yourself, soon enough youâll like her back. It was toxic, you knew it, but you convinced yourself it was the only way.
Finally, the end of the month came to an end in Manchester. Your friends wanted to go out one last time, to say goodbye before heading back to the States. Truth be told, you didnât want to remember this place at all, but after some hesitation, you agreed. It was their vacation too, so what's the harm in going out and relaxing? Your friends chose a club, Amber and Alex were ecstatic over it. Since they came to Europe, they wanted to go here for a night, and party their hearts out. Alice had tagged along for your trip as her Europe plans were very smiliar.
ââââ-
Amber: weâre otw to pick you up!
You: yup, is it alright if Alice comes along?
Amber: Yeah, who is she?
You: This girl im talking to
Amber: WHAT? Was it that girl you met on that dating site?
You: Yup
â---------
Tonight, you should let loose again. Since you met Alessia all the way in the beginning, your mind had been on her, groveling. The outfit you picked was a two piece with a skirt that skillfully showed off your legs. You felt confident in it.
Soon enough, you saw Amber with some other friends in her car roll up outside your hotel. It was clear that some of them had already started the fun, with the window down and goofy laughing.
âCome on! Let's go!!, â Amber shouted from her car. Her energy was always inescapable, bringing your mood up.
âComing,â You replied, hurriedly putting your shoes on.
The club was everything you expected and more. The main light was turned off, opting for neon signs and strobe lighting. Music was booming, making it hard to even think. Even from outside, you could hear what's playing inside. Thereâs waves of people, partying their hearts out, and losing their hearing in the process. It was the perfect place to forget about everything and have fun.
Your group chose this booth in the back corner. Everyone was so excited for the night, running over to the bar to grab round one already. You gave them your order, and went to find a certain brunette. Alice had gotten a ride there with some of her friends, getting there fifteen minutes before you had. You spotted her not far away from your table, and headed over.
She looked good in her skin tight dress, but not as good as another blonde would. You internally curse yourself for even bringing up the blonde. The brunette saw you and excitedly waved you over to her table, with the brightest smile on her lips. You smiled back, as big as you can and hurried over.
âThis was the girl I was talking about!â she introduced you. Her friends all looked at you with a fond smile on their face.
âHi, Iâm Y/N, I hope she told you all the good things,â you replied, earning a few chuckles at her table. You felt guilty for doing this, but you promised yourself soon enough youâd fall for her as well.
âWell, Alice here has been talking about you nonstop-,â one of her friends said, but was hurriedly interrupted by hand followed by a shush.
âWe donât need to talk about all the small details!â she said nervously, a blush creeping up her face. Then you felt even more guilty, treating this girl as a rebound.
âHow about we get some drinks, yeah?â you asked, offering your hand out for the brunette, putting on your most charming smile. It would be worth it when you fall in love with her too. She took your hand and got up from the booth, tugging her in for a quick peck on the cheek that had her friends whistling.
You brought her over to the bartender, she had this goofy lovesick smile on her face, but you couldnât help your heart when you felt that twinge of warmth from it. She put in her order, and you kept your arm around her waist protectively when you did. To everyone else, it looked like you guys were the most lovesick couple, and thatâs what it looked like to a particular blonde in the crowd.
Manchester United had recently won a tough game in the league and the team wanted to let loose for a little. They picked this spot in Manchester similarly like your friends, for its atmosphere and ability to make you forget your stress for a night. Alessia had a couple of drinks and was chatting with her teammates. It was the start of the night until her eyes saw you walking in. Her breath caught in her lungs, trying to hide her disbelief. You left the face of the Earth for the past couple of weeks. Less tried to get over you since that day in the Cafe to no avail. She couldnât bring herself to see anyone else, drowning herself once again in football. It was so long ago when you guys had even shared a kiss, and she still couldnât get over you.
Her eyes trailed you like a hawk, watching you walk in with your friends and finding a table. And damn did you look good in that tight skirt and small top. Her blue eyes kept following you, watching you walk over to another table of girls. Who was that? Was it the same girl from the Cafe? She keeps on looking, even though it hurts her to see you place a kiss on her cheek. She regretted everything. Alessia was meant to be yours, and you, hers. But she couldnât break your peace, she loved you too much to come begging when you're already so happy. It was time for another drink to drown out her feelings.
Tooney, being her ever so close best friend, immediately knew something was up when she went for another drink. The blonde was known for being a light weight and opted to not drink a lot on nights out, instead having enough to let loose but not black out.
âHey Less, whatâs up with you tonight?â Tooney asked with her eyebrows raised in surprise when another fruity cocktail came.
âNothing Tooney, just wanna let loose a little more tonight,â Alessia smiled back at her, deep down, she wanted to reverse time back to the night she left, wishing she spent more time with you. Hugging you, reassuring you, holding you in her arms for a minute longer.
âRight,â Tooney said, unbelieving of her words, but not prodding longer. It has been a stressful season, everyone has their own ways of letting it out.
The blonde tried, as hard as she could, but she couldnât help it when her gaze kept drifting to you. Now you were at the bar, with your arm around her. It was like everything you did broke her even more, but she shouldnât wallow in her heartbreak anymore, she should finally get herself out there.
âHey Tooney, wanna head over to the dance floor?â
âI thought youâd never ask!â With that, the both of them joined the dance floor, the midfielder was ecstatic to pull out all her moves.
The bartender had given Alice her drinks, and the two of you walked back to your table, your arm still around her waist. She was cute. When the two of you got to your table, it was your turn to do the introducing.
âHey, this is Alice,â you said sheepishly under the glances of your friends.
âWoah! Y/n no way! She's an absolute catch,â Alex whistled out, giving you a pat on your back. He was already tipsy. You invited her into the booth, scooting over to give enough room for her to sit. Youâd meant for her to sit next to you, but she chose your lap instead, earning even more teasing from your friends. You played it off, wrapping your arms around her and placing your head on her shoulder.
The group of you guys got into deep conversation, turns out Alice had a lot in common with them. Your eyes drifted to the dance floor while sipping on your drink, not searching for anything particular, but it did see Alessia. You nearly choked on your drink. How was she here of all places?? Why was she here? And why did she look so good dressed in just sweatpants and a t- shirt? And next to her was who you assumed was Tooney. You saw a few photos of her once when you two were still together. Did she know you were here too? Should you go and talk to her? That would only make it more awkward right? Not only that but you had your girlfriend in your arms right now, and youâre still thinking about your ex. It was all messed up. Thereâs no way you should approach her.
You returned your attention to the conversation for another few minutes till everyone started to get antsy for the dance floor. You didnât want to go. It would only make it harder for you to leave her again if you did. But this was probably the last chance ever to see her in person since youâre flying back in two days. With that, you begrudgingly agreed and moved off the booth. The lights and the music of the dance floor was a little captivating. Everyone was dancing and having the best time of their lives right now.
You held onto Aliceâs hand as she followed your friends further into the dance floor. Though hesitant at first, you started to feel excited. The music turned to a high energy song that had everyone dancing. Alice was dancing with the group and you soon joined them. It was fun to let loose. The music was so loud that you could barely hear your thoughts and it was perfect. You donât know how many songs passed until everyone was tired and needed a little break. While walking over, you lagged behind a little, which was common since the amount of people in one place was definitely not passing any health inspections. You tried to look over some peopleâs heads when you felt a body fall onto yours. You turned around instinctively, wondering who it was and if they were ok. It turns out it was the only person in the club you never wanted it to be, Alessia. The blonde clearly looked like she had too much to drink, legs a little wobbly, but god did she always look cute when she was drunk.
She looked surprised as well when she processed who she bumped into. No way was it you.
âAre you alright Alessia?â you asked, trying to stabilize her.
âYeah Iâm alright,â she replied shyly. The tension between you two was thick. So many unspoken words, and locked up feelings. All wanting to escape, but couldnât.
âHey letâs get you out of here yeah? You seem like you need a little break,â you finally got out, after seconds of awkwardness,â whereâs your table?â
âThat way,â she responded, pointing to a table not far from yours. Some of her Manchester teammates were there. You offered out a hand to help lead her out of this crowd. Hesitantly, she took you hand in hers and followed you. The blonde couldnât believe it was you still. Maybe she was so drunk that she was now hallucinating. Even if she was, she never wanted this to end.
After a little while of moving your way through the crowd, you finally got to her table, well a little further than her table. You didnât want any of her teammates to know who you were.
âThere you go Alessia,â you motioned at her table. She paused for a minute just looking at you, taking every one of your facial features in. You got more freckles than she remembered, and you seemed a little taller. Your hair was shorter now, did you get it cut recently? It was all getting to her now, she missed you so fucking badly. She wanted to beg for your forgiveness at that moment and take her back, when your name got called in the distance by a brunette. Another reminder that she failed. Who knew a college date could break her so much?
âIâm sorry Alessia, I gotta go, have a good night,â and with that, you disappeared off into the distance. She stood there heartbroken once again. It wasnât like she could hate your girlfriend, that girl was probably giving you everything you deserved that Alessia couldnât. With her head between her shoulders, she walked back to her group. Getting another drink.
You returned to your table, expecting to see Alice, but she was nowhere to be seen. Glancing around the crowd, you saw her on the dance floor still, now with a guy wrapped around her. Honestly, you didnât even feel much. That deserved better than you, who practically used her as a rebound. You didnât believe it was her fault for wanting another person, and your relationship had only been going on for a month? I guess the connection wasnât there for the both of you.
âOhhh thatâs rough,â Alex said, appearing right next to you. He tried to comfort you, but in truth, you didnât care. However you did feel like an asshole for leading her on whilst you were still stuck on somebody else. This was the moment to let her go, and be her own person.
âItâs only been a month,â you said, shrugging your shoulders, walking back to your table. Alex followed, confusion written on his face.
âYouâre not upset?â
âWhy would I be?â He raised his eyebrows at that. But you werenât acting strange, no anger, no sadness? It was weird to him. But you looked back at him with a plain look on your face. Unconvincingly, Alex left it alone. The rest of the night was spent just talking and partying.
That night Alessia laid in bed, and stared at the ceiling, the hurt evident in the ways she cried silent tears. In her haze of emotions she decided it was a good idea to send you an anonymous voice mail.
âHey, I wish you the best with you and your new girlfriend.â
Alessia sounded defeated, tired, and sad when she sent that. She didnât want to burden you again with her feelings, opting to cut off the last part where she started to sniffle, wishing youâd come back. She flopped back onto her back, and soon enough fell asleep.
Alessia shifted in her bed, the warmth of the sun filtering into the room. The alarm had been blaring for the last few seconds, demanding that she wakes up.
âAre you gonna turn that off less?â
Her eyes flew open to see yours looking back at her. You had a sleepy smile on your face before cuddling in even closer into her. Her mind was racing now, was it truly you in her arms right now? Had that been all a bad dream? She wished so because it had been a terrible one. She glanced around, it was her uni dorm again, on you laying right by her side. It was everything she wanted. She pulled you in even tighter to her, resting her head on top of yours. Alessia wanted to bask in this moment forever until the beeping of the alarm got louder. The peaceful moment was all ripped away from her when she woke up. It was too good to be true. The blonde sat up in her bed, turned her alarm off and just stayed there head in her hands.
That morning you woke up with your head throbbing. You groggily sat up in your bed. You were hungover as all hell, then blindly reached on your night stand for your phone, pulling it off the charger to see the notifications. One caught your eye, an anonymous voice mail. Out of curiosity you opened it and listened.
It sounded so much like Alessia, but the irony of it was something you laughed at, but you were still taken aback by it. Could it be her? You stared at your phone in disbelief. You thought she moved on, and that you were just another face in the crowd by now, but she was congratulating you on your ex-girlfriend. Did she see you with Alice? You replayed it a few times, swearing it was to determine if it was Alessia or not, but deep down you knew you it was, but you just wanted to hear her voice again.
In your head you fought over the idea of replying to her. Would it be too awkward? Maybe, but you did want to see if you two could be friends again. After a little while more of inner turmoil, you unblocked her number after so many years.
âââ-
You: Thank you, how have you been?
âââ-
The moment you sent that text, you turned your phone off, your heart rate pounding in your ears. No way did you just send that text. You mustâve come off so weird. But you had to get ready for the day. Every single notification that morning had you running to your phone seeing it was her. But it wasnât. With a sigh, you knew it was too good to be true. Maybe she changed her number.
You went on with your day with a little grey cloud over your head.
Alessia was snapped out of her sadness with a ping of her phone. She picked up her phone, vision still a little blurry from crying herself to sleep last night, because she just saw your contact pop up on screen. She had to be dreaming again, how cruel would it be if she was still dreaming? She pinched her thigh and knew she wasnât. What if it was her eyes? No way you unblocked her after a drunk voicemail. Hesitantly, she opened your contact.
ââ-
my love: Thank you, how have you been?
ââ-
After a whole year, she never found the courage to change your name. Partly because you blocked her, but also because she didnât want to believe it. But now her pulse was racing. Maybe you two could be friends again. Being friends with you is worth it over being nothing, even if she couldnât have you.
She racked her brain on how to respond. Should she play it casually? No, it would be too weird after that sad voicemail last night. Maybe invite you for coffee? How long were you in Manchester for? But coffee seemed casual and friendly. She typed and deleted her text over and over again throughout the day. Through training her mind was on you, through physio her mind was on you, even on the drive home after she was still thinking about you. At night time, she finally came up with the text she thought was perfect.
ââ-
Alessia: lifeâs been pretty busy, want to grab coffee and catch up? Thereâs a cute spot I know.
ââ-
Your eyes lit up when you saw her name on top of your notifications. And hurriedly you responded.
ââ-
You: yeah sure, is tomorrow at 10 good? I have a flight to catch at 1.
Alessia: Sounds good!
ââ-
You were a little surprised at the quick response, catching yourself smiling at your phone. Youâd love to have her as a friend still.
In the morning, you woke up extra early, you did your hair and put on your nicest outfit. You looked good, and you felt confident. Maybe this hangout could turn you guys into acquaintances instead of strangers with a past. Walking your way downtown to the cafe, you were beaming with a bright smile on your face. To the bystander, you looked like you won the lottery.
The outside of the place was cute, with some outdoor seating shaded by an umbrella. The inside was even cuter. The place smelled lightly of coffee and followed by the quiet chatter of people. This cafe was good. You took your seat by the corner in the back. You thought to arrive a little earlier at 9:45. You were nervous. It was supposed to be a little catch up after so long. It ended badly between you two, and you had your awkward moments, but maybe this could be the chance to move on. You waited when the time hit 10, then 10:10. You reasoned with yourself that she was running late. After all, she was a busy footballer. Then came 10:30, still nothing. You had to leave at 11:30 for your flight, so you had a little more time. You kept waiting. Then came 11:00, still nothing. An hour late to something she planned? You were in disbelief, and hints of sadness filled you. Were you so unimportant in her life that she forgot the plans she made last night? You did cling onto hope that she would show up. As the minutes ticked by, you were more and more impatient. Then came 11:30. Nothing. Not a text or a call. She broke your hopes again.
With a heavy heart, you ubered to the airport.
You're so stupid getting all excited and fancied up. You shouldâve known that she wouldnât show. What reason did she have to?
ââ-
You: had a flight to catch.
ââ-
Alessiaâs morning hadnât gone to her plan at all. She planned to wake up early, but her phone wasnât plugged in so it died sometime in the night. Then she only had half to get ready, then drive to the place downtown and find parking. It wasnât going to plan, then her car had a flat. Great. Now she was going to be late. Alessia dug around for a pump and finally fixed it. Then her phone started ringing, calling her in for more media. Alessia knew she couldnât skip this one today as the deadline for these had already been pushed back as far as they could. With a heavy heart, she knew she couldnât make it to your meet up. Alessia had this one chance to see you again and she fucked it up. Her head laid between her hands on the steering wheels, starting to sniffle at how badly things turned out. This was the one chance to reconcile with you. And she couldnât even manage to arrive.
When she saw your text, it hurt even more. Guess that was goodbye forever.

Blanket Thief
Misa RodrĂguez x Reader
Summary: Every night Misa would hog the blankets leaving you cold. Now you finally found a solution, but it doesn't sit well with her.
Warnings: None, 1.7k words, Not proofread! She doesn't get written about enough :(
It was a war zone in your bed every night. It always started peacefully. Misa cuddled into you sweetly and held you close to her, but when she fell asleep? She was anything but. Last night the both of you fell asleep cuddling together like any other. In the middle of the night it was normal for the Spaniard to turn to the other side of the bed, however she always took the whole blanket with her. And you mean it that she took the whole blanket. It was like she turned into a cocoon with the blankets all wrapped around her, and you? You were left in the cold of the night with nothing. Not a corner of the blanket. Nothing.Â
There you were, laying on the bed, cold, while looking over at your girlfriend who was sleeping like a rock.Â
âMisa, wake up,â you nudged her. But she only grumbled and rolled over. The audacity of this girl!Â
The next step was trying to pry off a little piece of the blanket from her. No matter where you looked, you couldnât find a little corner that you could use. You sighed in defeat, looking at Misa whoâs sleeping so peacefully. She deserved the rest anyways. You walked over defeated towards Misaâs dresser and pulled out a hoodie that youâd sleep in to keep you warm.
You woke up cold on your side of the bed, no blanket in sight till you looked over at Misa. She was still wrapped up in it, looking as comfortable as ever. You huffed a breath of anger before you crawled over and jumped on top of her, arms wide pulling her into your embrace. Even though you were mad at her, it was quite comfortable to snuggle her when sheâs all wrapped up, but thatâs besides the point. You heard a sound coming from her as you got up, still a little mad from last night.Â
âWhat are you doing up so early?â She said, sounding a little annoyed. Misa had the audacity to be annoyed when she spent the whole night taking the blanket from you?Â
âNothing, except the fact that you take the blankets the whole night!â You fired back.Â
âWhat do you mean?â You quirked an eyebrow to her situation right now. The whole comforter is around her and not a single spot of blanket on your side. It was too early for Misa to be dealing with this, but as she looked over to her alarm clock, she had only an hour till training.Â
âYouâre being dramatic,â Misa said, pulling herself out of bed. Maybe you have been dramatic if this was a one off occurrence but it wasnât. Itâs been happening since you guys started dating, and youâve put up with it because you always let her have her way. Today it was gonna change.Â
After training, you went straight to physio, not sparing a glance at Misa.Â
âMisa what did you do?â Athenea asked with her eyebrows raised.Â
âI honestly donât know but she woke me up this morning talking about stealing blankets, but I didnât think that it was such a big deal,â she shrugged. The goalie thought that you were overreacting over this small thing. Maybe you just needed room to cool off, the season has been stressful recently.Â
After training, you didnât speak to the brunette. Are you being childish? Yes, but it was pay back for all those nights. You mindlessly scrolled on your phone on the couch till you stumbled upon a video talking about Scandinavian style bedding where there were two comforters instead of one. It seemed perfect. Misa would have her own blanket for the whole night and you would have your own.Â
Taking it upon yourself, you took the comforter from the guest room and put it in your shared room. Thinking nothing of it you went on with your afternoon till you heard shouting from the room.Â
âY/n what is this?â She exclaimed, rushing out around the corner.Â
âJust some new bedding, you like it?âÂ
âNo! Are we not sharing a blanket anymore?â She walked closer, sitting next to you.Â
âI donât think we ever âsharedâ a blanket in the first place, more like it was your own blanket,â you rolled your eyes at her. You swore you heard Misaâs heart shatter at that. She loved to share the same blanket with you, it created this connection that she loved every night, it was just you and her. But now itâs flipped all on its head because you brought in another comforter.Â
The goalie tried to put on her best puppy eyes and wrapped her arms around you. âPlease cariño, let me try again?â She tried her best to convince you, even kissing up your neck, it almost worked. But you stood firm on this.Â
âNo, Misa, get off me,â you said trying to wriggle out from her arms. She had the cutest pout on her face.Â
âPor favor nena, dame una oportunidad mĂĄs,â she begged. (Please baby, give me another chance)Â
You just walked away into your bedroom to get ready to go to sleep. A part of you did feel bad, were you being too harsh? Misa looked so sad that you almost wanted to forego this whole plan and bare the cold nights to make her happy.Â
When it was finally time for bed, Misa was turned away from your side of the bed, opting to look at the wall. You let out a small giggle at her childness.Â
âBuenas Noches,â you teased, leaning over to give her a kiss on her head. The girl let out a huff before moving further away from you on the bed. You smiled at her before you turned off the lights.Â
To say it was the best sleep you had in a while was an understatement. Last night you were all warm and cozy as you slept. It was wonderful. You peeked over at Misa. As expected she was curled up in her blanket, sparing no extra part of it. However as you walked to the other side of the bed, you saw a little scowl on her face. It was adorable. You blew a little air on her face and watched it scrunch up as she turned away from you.Â
âCome on Misa, itâs time to wake up.â
âno, dĂ©jame dormir.â (No, let me sleep)Â
It had been a little over an hour before training so you let her sleep. You walked into the kitchen to make you both some coffee. Footsteps could be heard coming from the bedroom before you felt arms curling your waist, pulling you closer.Â
âTe extrañé, cariño,â (I missed you) she whispered into your ear, resting her face in the crook of your neck.Â
âHaha you goof, I was right next to you the whole night.âÂ
âBut it wasnât the same,â she whined, holding you even tighter.Â
âLetâs go get dressed,â you said, pointing to the cup of coffee on the table for her. But she didnât make an effort to move at all. âVamos,â you warned, trying to wriggle out of her hold.Â
The whole of training she was close by. When you went to grab water, she followed right behind you. When you went to physio on the day she didnât have any, she followed. You thought it was cute.Â
âI think you broke her,â Olga said. The girl was normally loud, carefree, and hotheaded, was now following you around like a lost puppy. Truth be told, you did feel a little bad, but you hadnât slept like you did last night in forever.
âI brought two blankets into bed since every night Misa would take it and leave me cold. Now she thinks I donât love her anymore. â You looked back at her.Â
âHoneslty thatâs fair, if my girlfriend brought another blanket into bed, Iâd think the same way too.â You thought about Olgaâs words for a second. Maybe after this week youâd stop.Â
When the two of you got home, Misa went straight into your room. Maybe you had gone too far. Soon after she reappeared, walking right over to your place on the couch and unceremoniously plopping herself right onto you.Â
You wrapped your arms around the girl. You felt guilty. Did she really take it to heart? You held her like that for a while. You turned on the tv to a random rom-com and just sat in silence with her. It was almost your bedtime, and after you came out of the shower, you saw only one comforter laying on the bed. You looked around confused, you were sure that it was there this morning. Did it grow legs and run away?Â
âI got rid of that thing.â You turned towards the doorway to see Misa standing there,Â
âright as I got home I had to get rid of it, itâs the worst thing in the world.â She walked over to get into bed.Â
âWhat? Why? I slept so well last night!â you protested, but it fell on deaf ears. She scooted towards the end of the blanket making sure to leave a lot of room. âte extrañé,â she said, barely above a whisper. Your heart clenched at the scene. Moving swiftly, you got in and held her close to you.
âIâm sorry mi niña bonita, it was just a stupid idea â you said. Then you felt a change in the girl.Â
âHaha, you admit that you hate that blanket too!â she beamed, turning to face you. What? The gears slowly turned in your head.Â
âDid you really just guilt trip me into sharing a blanket again?âÂ
âWould it be bad if I said yes?â she replied weakly. You turned around to the other side of the bed, making sure to take the whole comforter with you.Â
âHey, that's not fair!â she argued from behind. You couldnât contain your smile.Â
âOk but it wasnât fair that since we started dating you did that every night," you replied, finally releasing your grip on the blankets. Misa did truly feel bad about it. That night alone taught her a lot.Â
âLo siento mi amor, te prometo que no volverĂ© a hacer eso,â (Sorry my love, I promise I wonât do that again.) she said quietly. She wrapped her arms around you and soon drifted off to sleep. That night she woke up every so often to pull the blankets over you, and you never were left cold again.
