She rolled her eyes more naturally, at him telling her he had been drunk. It was like a daily occurrence of her wishing he wasn’t such an excessive drinker. Only always thinking it would kill him. But she knew her disapproval never got anywhere so she settled for what it was. Only he could help himself, after all. “Riley?” she chuckled this time, not that there was much humour behind it. “Okay I’m not surprised.” she soon made her way over towards the plywood at his request, hands gripping around the material she brought it back over to where Shawn was. “Yeah.” she was short, not really realising that maybe that was a question after an answer of more expansion. “Where’d you want this?” meaning the plywood, she probably could have guessed if she was presently paying attention to what he was doing.
“Spare yourself from ever being around us when we’re shitfaced enough to buy two goats.” The parts he could recall clearly were hilarious since they only egged on each other’s terrible choices. “Yeah?” He repeated, mostly to point out the lack of response without saying as much. “Lay it across the top of the spools.” He pointed over to the three that were evenly spaced. With how often things loved going to shit around them, he wasn’t sure if there was something new going on. Pressing the matter wasn’t something he wanted to do either, he figured he had to lay off the strong approach for a while after how far he had pushed with her after the kidnapping. “So the kid isn’t part of why you looked like you were going to break my hammer earlier?” Which was something he had probably been close to doing countless times now, it wasn’t hard to spot the tension.
