Embarassing alert!

Got bored and started looking at Peter Parker fics (got a singular post about them a week ago) and they’re for the most part bad but I am strangely attached to them. It’s specifically the Stark Industries field trip genre/au. A lot of them use it to highlight a father-son dynamic between Peter and Tony but they barely divulge on Tony. He’s more so a symbol than a character which is frustrating to read because I feel like there’s so much more to touch on with him. Also they always spend way too much time with the Flash bullying subplot like I doooon’t care and also it’s poorly written and corny. The most popular one is unfortunately Really cute (I didn’t say good. I said cute [I do have to say that it is slightly more complex than the others because it actually acknowledges a lot of different angles and problems that so far no other fic has picked up on. Which isn’t saying a lot though… a lot of the characters have been flanderized to hell and back as well.]) and the one I’m currently reading is canon compliant and happens after Tony’s death which is a very interesting way to take this genre of fanfic even though it’s quite outlandish. I do not care for this Harley character unfortunately; does he actually do anything in the movies or does he just kinda show up for no reason? I may never know. Anyways. Been rewatching the Iron Man films (I hate them) and am about to rewatch the Spiderman films so that I can aptly understand and change everything I want about the canon plot to form into what I want it to be about. Yay!
