The monster that is self doubt..
Self-doubt is a shadow that follows me,
A voice that whispers, "You're not meant to be."
It's a feeling that creeps in, when I'm alone,
A thought that tells me, I'm on my own.
It's a weight that pulls me down,
A feeling that makes me want to drown.
It's a battle that I fight, every day,
And I know that it won't go away.
But I also know, that I'm not alone,
That there are others, who have known,
The pain of self-doubt, and the fear it brings,
And that there is hope, for better things.
So I'll take a deep breath, and I'll stand tall,
And I'll face my fears, once and for all.
For I know that I am strong, and I am brave,
And that I have the power, to change my fate.
Self-doubt is a thief that steals my joy,
A cloud that darkens, the brightest day.
It's a voice that whispers, "You're not enough,"
And a feeling that just won't go away.
It's a weight that pulls me down,
A fear that keeps me from my dreams.
It's a battle that I fight, every day,
And it's never as easy as it seems.
But I know that I am not alone,
That others have felt this way too.
And that there is hope, for a brighter tomorrow,
And that I can make my dreams come true.
So I'll take a deep breath, and I'll stand tall,
And I'll face my fears, one by one.
For I know that I am strong, and I am brave,
And that my journey has just begun.
