holy shit this is the fireworks of the futureâŠ.. fireworks are so so bad for the environment and trigger people and make pets run away from home but THIS is such a great alternative it gives all the fun flashy lights without the smoke and the terrifying booms and the litter AND its more versatile and can do more fun things
Imagine someone from the 1500âs seeing this shit.
*sees this before my entire town gets wiped out by missiles*

Tonight. Let your soft lips melt together with mine. Touch me places you can not say. Remind me what feels like to be loved.
There's something simple about wearing a silk dress. The way is hugs your body. Like its been longing for your skin.

Oh also reading Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
I have a problem.
"There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of merit or sense."
-Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
when I first read Pride and Prejudice as a child, i always scoffed at this particular quote. i laughed at the possibility of life being something so twisted. gradually descending out of my teenage years, i had this saying in the back of my mind like a reminder. romanticism can be so addictive that it blinds us from witnessing the vulnerability of the world. the more i see the world and understand it now, i understand why Jane Austen expressed her disappointment in humans and the world, both. there's nothing like the pleasure of being on your own, 'away from the maddening crowd'.

sylvia plath once wrote in her journal 'if i get through this year, no matter how badly, it will be the biggest victory i've ever done' and if that's not a mood for 2020 i don't know what is.
Hereâs this man who believed when he died that his name would be toxic for generations to come. For hundreds of years, his works wouldnât be read. He would stand for nothing but perversion. Utter disgust of a society that couldnât bear people like him.
Well, two years ago, the Irish government and the French partook and shared in the restoration of his sarcophagus, his tomb in PĂšre Lachaise Cemetary in Paris, and it had to be restored, because the polished stone of its surface had corroded through kisses.
Wouldnât it just be allowed to wake him up, just for five minutes, just to tell him that, then he could go back to sleep again?

âI am done with my graceless heart, so tonight Iâm gonna cut it out and then restart.â
Thinking about Sophia Tolstoy (Leo Tolstoyâs wife) being trapped in an unhappy marriage, copying and editing her husbandâs novels multiple times BY HAND, never getting credit or money for her work, and raising his 13 children, and how Anna Karenina one of Tolstoyâs most famous works is about a woman leaving her loveless husband and children and has an affair leaving her scorned by Russian society and commits suicide when she cannot marry her lover due to her husband refusing to divorce her, and how sympathetically the novel treats her throughout, and I think back to the woman rewriting her husbandâs work and wonder how much of this was the work of someone who personally connected to the titular character.
People: you need to be kinder and not bite the head of people trying to get to know you
Me a person with servere social anxiety and depression: yes absolutely. And I'm sorry that I didn't realize my anxiety made me act badly.
My anxiety and depression: absolutely fucking not because they truly don't want you around. Actually they hate you. Don't let them in. They're talkimg about you behind your back. They're laughing at you. They think you're annoying.
thinking about the Jo March character trope of the girl so passionately in love with being a person and being spunky and independent and tough and free that she forgets completely that deep down she is in desperate need of love... that shit makes me absolutely feral
