2023 Sheith Card Swap Sign Ups OPEN

Come join Sheith Swap, a Sheith-themed card exchange! Just a little event to spread some cheer at the end of the year.
To participate, you must be 18+ and love Sheith. You don't have to be an artist or a writer - as long as you can send a friendly, supportive card you can participate!

Some of you had a few questions, which I'll answer here:
Will we know our swap partners likes, dislikes, etc?
Yes, on the sign up form there will be a place to put your preferences. I do try to match people up by preferences if I can, but of course that's not always possible. I will do my best to match as closely as I can, though.
Will you ask/pair people based on the quality of their card (i.e store bought cards vs handmade ones)?
No, quality of card or any small gift inclusions will not be a factor in matching people. This event is for everyone, regardless of whether you can draw, write, knit, etc. or how much you can afford. This is meant to be casual and low-stakes to send some encouragement, not necessarily a creation-based event. And quality is most often subjective.
And there's nothing unworthy about a store bought card! I received plenty during previous events and I still have all of them. It's the sentiment that counts more than anything.
The minimum requirement is a card, anything else is just extra icing on the cake. : )
Wouldn't it make more sense to mail the card directly to our giftee rather than the mod?
This event has changed a little over time as a result of trial and error. To all you former participants, thank you for your patience! lol
Ultimately, I decided to have participants mail their cards to me first in order to better protect privacy, and because it was easier to ensure everyone actually received their cards. In the past, there were issues with cost, people ghosting/dropping out last minute, mail issues, etc. (This is also why there are no longer separate card and gift matches.).
It was just easier in the long run to have them all sent to me so I can make sure everyone is accounted for and receives something.
