        the pillow lands with a thump, and alice scowls playfully, a laugh leaving her lips– so maybe she deserved that one. ❛ I told you, it doesn’t work like a magic trick. they come in dreams. ❜ she hasn’t figured out the very intricacies and limits of her dreams yet, even though they’ve accompanied her for most of her life. they came so naturally, without rhyme or reason, and alice never felt it right to question this gift– or this curse.   ❛– and no, knocking me out with a pillow won’t help !  ❜
