a foolish girl with her foolish thoughts.  the sound of madame vivianne’s voice rings in her ears even louder than before. the whistling of the wind in the trees is almost enough to drown them out, but they come crashing through even so. does she know that her daughter is dead? does she know that ella had done everything that she could to try and save her from the grasp of the darkling and his army? they are questions that spiral through her mind faster than she can control them from overwhelming her. it is apparent, in the dried tear streaks littering her freckled cheeks. 

fedyor’s company is of comfort, even in the silence. her eyes squeeze shut when he does speak up. even without trying, the heartrender managed to take hold of her heart and elicit a squeeze so tight it nearly sucks the breath from her lungs. ella steadies herself, fighting back tears once again as she simply leans her head against his shoulder.  ❝  i truly hope you’re right. i-i don’t know what else to do.  ❞

the air around them is warm,   filling ella’s head with a sweet sense of pleasure that was already radiating off of her the moment that her husband had found her roaming the halls. moonlight pours in through the large window beside them, the coolness of the stone wall behind her is the only thing that keeps her centered at where she is. without it, ella would be lost in the feeling of his large hands on her waist, tugging her closer to him by the moment as their kisses grow more needy, desperate to be closer than they already are.

from the moment he had locked eyes with her across the ballroom, ella knew that she was at his mercy. there was not a single part of her that did not light up like a thousand fires just waiting to be released. she is the sparks off the tips of his fingers, gravitating towards his infectious pull.

before ella has time to think further, his hands grasp at her back end, lifting her off the ground so that her legs wrap tightly around his waist. there is a laugh that tumbles past her lips, sultry and warm, knowing that he is exactly where she wants him to be. needy and wanting more of her, of which she will happily oblige. her hands curl at the blonde hair on the nap of his neck, pulling back just enough for him to expose more of his neck to her. leaning down, she allows her teeth to graze just over his pulse, her lips curving into a mischievous grin.  ❝  i need you. right now. please.  ❞
