It is very mentally and emotionally draining. It can even get physical.
Star would know this if she genuinely believed in the movement and wasn't doing this to fuel her ego instead. She touts her Black heritage yet seems quite ignorant of the process behind the Montgomery Bus Boycotts and the Loving v. Virginia cases where people were fighting for a change in civil rights and liberties.
If being told at a planning stage that this isn't going to work is enough to send you teetering between life and death, what's gonna happen at the actual protest that Star won't attend?
