Every once in a while I get really tempted to write a fic where a peak lord (usually SJ) gets dragged into a political marriage (because they decided NOT to go against TLJ) where they’re married to a Huan Hua disciple who they start off disliking or just about tolerating (because Huan Hua) before realising that the situation isn’t great for them either because the only reason they were married off is because the palace master didn’t like them (for any reason such as they were poor, had potential but didn’t look like Xiyan, too well liked by the common people, a woman, etc) so they both start making it work and fall in love
