                the  sudden  touch  on  her  arm  gives  her  a  minor  start,  as  she  pulls  back  with  a  jerky  motion.   brows  furrow  as  she  relaxes  nearly  immediately,  registering  what  had  happened,  and  with  slow,  cautious  movement,  she  begins  to  kneel,  inspecting.   “  huh   ––  ”    she  pokes  him  back,  half  expecting  him  to  evaporate  with  the  touch.   the  confirmation  that  he’s  not  a  holograph,  or  some  kind  of  trick,  finally  dawns,  and  a  twitch  to  her  lips  turns  her  expression  to  a  smile.   “  weird.   your  shoes  do  that?  ”
