“Be still my beating vagina.” - Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
CHER SONGS SENTENCE MEME ( 1990 - 1999 )
‘ Well it must have been good, ‘cause you said it was love ‘ ‘ I guess the day you left me it wasn’t good enough ‘ ‘ When you see the smile on his face — just remember, baby, could’ve been you ‘ ‘ When he’s standing there in your place — I hate to say it, baby, could’ve been you ‘ ‘ Love is like a cloud and it holds a lot of rain ‘ ‘ Love hurts, love scars, love wounds and mars any heart not tough or strong enough ‘ ‘ Honey, I’ve learned from you ‘ ‘ Love is like a stove it burns you when it’s hot ‘ ‘ Oh, some fools they fool themselves, I guess ‘ ‘ Love is just a lie and it’s made to make you blue ‘ ‘ I can’t figure you out, but a heart must be the one thing you were born without ‘ ‘ I’ve been wasting my time ‘ ‘ I don’t know where I’ll sleep tonight ‘ ‘ You say that you can do without me? Go ahead now try and live without me ‘ ‘ Baby save up all your tears, you might need them someday ‘ ‘ Baby, save up your tears, ‘cause you’ll be crying over me ‘ ‘ You got used to my touch — I got used to not feeling much ‘ ‘ You don’t know it now, but some wounds get deeper with time ‘ ‘ When the tears start to fall, I won’t wipe them away ‘ ‘ Visions haunt my memory ‘ ‘ You and I were over long ago, I don’t know why my heart’s the last to know ‘ ‘ I know I’ve been lying to myself ‘ ‘ Baby it’s you ‘ ‘ The more I deny it, the more that it’s true.. I’m still in love with you ‘ ‘ These feelings I’m feeling prove you right, no one else could take your place ‘ ‘ In time even memories fade away ‘ ‘ With time you might live to forgive and forget the mistakes that I madeI broke some promises, sometimes I lied to you. But one thing will always be true, I’ll never stop loving you ‘ ‘ You’ll never be replaced ‘ ‘ I’ll never stop loving you ‘ ‘ Don’t you know, so many things they come and go, like your words that once rang true ‘ ‘ But you walked away when I needed you most ‘ ‘ I found someone to take away the heartache, to take away the loneliness I’ve been feelin’ since you’ve been gone ‘ ‘ Dry your eyes. I never could bear to see you cry ‘ ‘ But, baby, don’t ya lose that thunder, talkin’ ‘bout the fire in your eyes ‘ ‘ You’re lookin’ at me but you still don’t believe ‘ ‘ But you left me with open eyes, and when I realized, baby, I found someone to take away the heartache ‘ ‘ I remember every word you said ‘ ‘ Should I go or stay? ‘ ‘ Who you gonna believe, her or me? ‘ ‘ What’s it gonna be, Who you gonna believe? ‘ ‘ You got to be strong when you’re out on your own ‘ ‘ 'Cause sooner or later we all sleep alone ‘ ‘ Nobody nowhere holds the key to your heart ‘ ‘ When love’s a possession it’ll tear you apart ‘ ‘ You may have lovers wherever you roam, but sooner or later we all sleep alone ‘ ‘ I don’t make no promises I can’t keep ‘ ‘ I won’t be no prisoner of somebody’s needs ‘ ‘ Yeah, I got a reputation, never had a single thought of settling down ‘ ‘ But you touched me deep inside, now I can’t believe I’m the one who’s looking back as you said goodbye to me ‘ ‘ Whenever you’re near, I’m in ecstasy ‘ ‘ Whenever you’re gone, I’m in misery ‘ ‘ Don’t you know that you bring out the best in me ‘ ‘ Yeah, I cause my share of sorrow, I walked off on promises and love’s passed me by but now you’ve turned the tables ‘ ‘ I feel your chemistry, boy watcha do to me I lose all control ‘ And when the morning comes, yeah you loved and gone ‘ ‘ Yeah you touched me deep inside, now I can’t say no ‘ ‘ I’m never gonna let you go ‘

Am I coming back from the dead essentially to freak out about a Cher tweet? Yes I am. I’m so excited for this and already have ideas about how to incorporate it into Ruby’s life.

“Why can’t I go and sing with you on stage? Mommy won’t let me do it either… that’s not fair!”

“Sweet girl...” There was a little sigh as she looked at her granddaughter; she knew Sophie would hate the answer but here it came. “Maybe when you’re older.”

Donna smiled at her when she squeezed her and then picked her up. “I want to do that. I like cake.” She told her. Donna paused for a moment, as if she was thinking and then looked back at Ruby. “Mama, do I have to wear a dress though? I know what I want to wear.”
What child didn’t like cake? She highly doubted her daughter would ever say no to sweets. She raised a brow, looking at Donna, “Oh? No dress? What do you want to wear then?”
sheridanruby:
She wrapped her arms around her daughter and held her close, not wanting to let go. Ruby wasn’t okay. She was upset and angry, already knowing the press would spin lies about a broken engagement and she didn’t want the headache from her manager. But now was the hard part of telling Donna the man that had been in their lives for the past year and a half was gone. “I’ll be alright.” She brushed blonde hair from her daughter’s face and managed a tiny smile. “You know how I told you Mama was planning a big event? Fancy dress and cake? It’s not happening anymore.”
Donna may have only been young but she could tell her mother wasn’t happy at all. She didn’t like seeing her like this. “I hope you are going to be alright, mama.” She told her. When Ruby did this, she tilted her head a little so it rested against her mother’s hand. Donna listened. “When you said I could wear a pretty dress?” She asked. Hearing that it wasn’t going to happen anymore, she was quiet for a moment before she looked back at her. “It doesn’t matter, mama. We can have a party. Just me and you.”
She was so pure and sweet. And Donna was more than Ruby deserved; she’d fall apart without her little girl. There was a nod to her question and then the moment of quiet threatened to make unused tears fall. “You’re right. It doesn’t matter, baby girl.” She gave Donna a squeeze and picked her up, smiling. “You and me. We can party by ourselves, eat way too much cake, and dance until we drop. How’s that sound?”
sheridanruby:
“Because I refuse to give you the right to cause these eyes to cry at night. I’m well prepared to live my life without you.”
Ruby slammed the receiver back on its holder in the kitchen and wiped at her eyes. She said she wouldn’t cry and that was what would happen. He wasn’t worth it; a glance at the engagement ring on her left hand made her anger come back up. It wasn’t the first relationship she had walked away from and she knew it wouldn’t be the last. There was a sigh as she heard light footsteps come into the room. “It’s okay, Donna. It’ll be okay.” She turned and held her arms out to her daughter. It was always them against the world and the girl was all she needed.

Donna had been playing in her room when she had heard her mother on the phone. She could tell that she was angry and upset. She waited for a moment before she opened her door and walked slowly down to the kitchen. As she walked into the room, she noticed her mother turn and hold out her arms for her. She ran over to her and let her mother hug her. ”Are you okay, mama?” Donna asked her, as she looked up at her. “You look upset and you sounded angry. Did someone upset you?”

“I was kinda ahead of my time so whatever.”
