There are simple things that my wife tells me that actually mean something special, regardless of how mundane they might seem: “I love you.” “I miss you.” “Thank you.” There are also some things that she says to me that really make me feel as if I have some value: “You are so sweet.” “I’m proud of you.” “You make me feel special.” And then there are those things that make me feel extremely “special”: “You’re sexy in my panties.” “You’re looking hot in that negligee.” “You’re amazing in bed as my lesbian lover.” Ok, so I fudged on a few of those.
The things my wife says to me–the real ones–often make me feel worthy and they almost always insist on “YOU.” I know that whether or not I’m in girly mode, she sees me for who I am and not as some pervert.
