Just realised that the trap card “For Our Dreams” in Sherry LeBlanc’s deck imitates Liberty Leading the People. Why oh why Marianne is changed to this Joan of Arc hair styled magical girl??? The ones following her literally look so confused.

IMAO Sherry’s deck has too many feudal knights instead of revolutionary elements, especially her line when summoning her ace card is “The time of revolution has arrived!"

I lowkey think of Sherry as an inspiration for my motorcyclist gender swap Saint Just. But alas I’m afraid the canon narrative didn’t do her justice :(

Day 1 of Roseknight Week!

I chose Date for the theme! I was thinking of post-canon Roseknight meeting for their first date years after their last farewell in Neo Domino City. Something something Aki studying abroad and them reconnecting(?) in Europe... I haven't really put a lot of thought in the setting, I was just doodling and that's the vibe I came up with

This was also a very good rendering practice. I also tried to mind my light/shadow placements for once lol. I also used real-life references for their clothes! Sherry's coat is inspired by a look from the YSL 2024 FW men's couture, while Aki's own outfit is from the Dior FW 1992 ready-to-wear. Not the bag though, I just added it because the look felt a bit empty otherwise

DAY ONE OF #roseknightweekYGO5Ds LETS GOOOO! I chose Kiss for the first day and I wrote a fic to go with it! It's set in the pre-canon of the manga specifically. I can't write much nowadays since my laptop keyboard is broken but I wrote as much as I needed on my phone!
