THE FRIENDS WHO MADE ME WHOLE
“The right people don’t complete you—they connect with you, piece by piece.”
The only love I ever got,
Was the love my parents gave.
I love it, though,
I found an empty place, trying to fill—
To find a best friend who could fill it,
The empty place in my heart.
I’m not complaining,
I don’t know if it is a need or a want.
In senior KG I found one best friend,
I thought would be with me for life.
Even after, I thought I found the person
Who could fill the empty place.
I never felt it complete,
The longing for a best friend so true remained.
She left though, said she’d stay in touch—
But she never once replied.
Once again, the hunt for a friend went on,
Trying to find a bestie who could stay.
But I found a
Crazy group of besties,
Who promised to stay for life.
Seven souls, all so different,
Yet somehow fitting together like puzzle pieces.
The loud ones, the quiet ones,
The jokers, the dreamers, the thinkers—
Each one brought a spark.
They opened up a whole new world,
Pushed books into my hands,
Showed me how stories could be magic,
How words could heal,
How pages could feel like home.
