Orion sketches I wanted to post now instead of later

I want him to look like his father the most, he is the eldest and is being trained by his father to take over for when he becomes King and the future Astronomer. He takes his role very seriously.

Mysha looks up to his brother the most and tries to copy him in many ways, but mostly tries to be taken as seriously as him (of course it doesnt work)

But eventually, in the story, someone becomes a wedge that gets in the way of his duties and his emotions (dramatic sting plays)

I felt so clever and cool when I made the decision to make Mysha apart of 7 royal mouse siblings (7 headed mouse, you get it)

But now I have to design like 6 characters oh ymg kfdodd

I have finished Mysha (youngest), and Orion (eldest) but I need to polish him up

Welcome back to Shib talks at you about her characters

Sugarplum Fairy face exploration is definitely close to what I want from her design, but I need to alter the colors and tweek some stuff.

I dont have a full design for her yet, but I want her to have a huge presence in the story. Shes been through a lot but uses her wisdom to become a great leader.

Fairies as a species are pretty spindly and have slightly longer calves and arms than humans (Sugarplum especially, she's the tallest character in the story, 6'1)

I really want Sugarplum to have these sharp features, high cheekbones, strong collarbones, etc. And her face to have slight wrinkles that show her life experiences (becoming queen, losing her son, etc.)

I feel like many people are afraid of making female characters look old in fear they may seem unattractive or unappealing?? But I want Sugarplum to look her age, she's older! But very elegant and beautiful.

Dewdrop character design exploration because shes so fun

I wanted her to have a teardrop shape motif through her shapes and a huge firehead because I find it charming and helps get the shape across better I believe. Also with the eyebrows, body shape, etc.

Shes a little stubborn and comes across very headstrong but is actually a great leader under all that and is working on a ballet production of her own. But she is secretly afraid to share it to the world because shes always in her brothers shadow even after his death.

And yes the bigass forehead is intentional I think its charming

Young Sugarplum Fairy and Princess Pirlipat

They officially met after Sugarplum led her kingdom to the humans after the massacre. They quickly became close friends and confided in eachother.

Despite this Pirlipat wasnt the most kind friend and often made Sugarplum feel inferior to her and ashamed for her now damaged wings. But theyre friends, she wouldnt mean to hurt her, right?

"Im just saying that youre wings make you look... Y'know, not pretty. Just keep them down, you understand right? Im only telling you because you're my best friend."

"Mhm... Of course."
