In my beautiful world the strawhats encounter her and the arc/plot involving her sometime nebulously post-fishman island and I use this arc as an excuse to evolve more on Luffy’s grief about Ace because I feel it deserves more focus post-timeskip. Among many many other things happening here.

the whole "insulting someone based on their appearance is bad because it could indirectly hurt people you like who share that feature" is a good start for unlearning body shaming but i do think we need to go further and remind people that even if there was some physical trait that was magically 10000% exclusive to conservatives and creeps and nobody else ever had it, we still shouldnt be insulting them based on that. because the problem with them is not their appearance its their ideology and actions. by insulting their appearance you arent just indirectly insulting others who look like that, youre literally not making the correct point. stay on topic ya know.

My running theory around the “there was no build up to Jax being trans” conversation is that it boils down to existing knowledge of what pre-transition trans folks are like.

I think a lot of people went in thinking pre transition trans folks are all gender nonconforming and she definitely isn’t.

But among trans people and others in the know she was really obvious because she showed a bunch of clear signs of repression and a low level obsession with her masculinity. As a combo it was possible for that to be a cis guy, but it also heavily pointed to her being trans.

I’m really glad Gooseworx wrote about Jax this way. It’s one of few queer cautionary tragedies that I can get behind because it’s not a story of how her queerness was tragic but how her avoidance of it was. Of a woman who ripped apart everything that looked like kindness because she hated herself so much that she couldn’t handle anyone loving her.

In November 2023, SNES Super Mario RPG artist Jiro Mifune shared concept art for the game on an account he announced is deliberately temporary and would be deleted soon after.

One of the final posts he made was this original image made by editing a scene from the Nintendo Switch version of the game, depicting a mass of wishes by fans to play Super Mario RPG again on Star Hill.

His accompanying comment read: "The miraculous remake of "SuperMarioRPG" was made possible by …….. I think it is the result of the wishes of fans all over the world who have been falling as "stardust" on the "Star Hill" for a long time. Your "stardust" from those days must be in here too. Look for it. If "stardust" from children who played this remake for the first time falls on "Star Hill"… I sincerely hope that a new story will be spun by talented young people who have love and respect for Nintendo's works, just as we once did."

could you tell us more about your Tadc x Bojack AU?

Sure!

Bojack enters the circus anytime between the end of Season 3 to Season 6 (before rehab).

No one knows how or why Bojack keeps having stupid sauce on his person. (Also has very high tolerance)

I’m pretty sure Kinger and Bojack are very close in age. Bojack might even be older than Kinger… which is crazy.

Some of the TADC gang genuinely don’t believe Bojack is a celebrity or at least as famous as he says he is.

He is human in this AU and Bojack is his circus name.

Jax has seen Horsin Around (or the human adjacent?) She’s just trolling Bojack and she would never admit she has seen it.

Idk if I’ll continue with AU, I have some ideas for future drawings but we’ll see!
