Beginner explanation of astrology & notes on the 8th house / 12th house
The 12 zodiac signs are the different descriptions of energies. It’s also the cycle of energy that everyone goes through.
Aries: instinct
Taurus: caution
Gemini: thought
Cancer: guidance
Leo: expression
Virgo: refining
Libra: connect
Scorpio: transform
Sagittarius: knowledge
Capricorn: responsibility
Aquarius: teach
Pisces: release
The houses are the areas of our daily life which rules over both our inner and outer landscape.
1st: self
2nd: possessions
3rd: communication
4th: home
5th: creativity
6th: work
7th: partnerships
8th:passion
9th: knowledge
10th: career
11th: world(people on mass)
12th: underworld(hidden)
I know there’s often some confusion between 12th house and 8th house. 8th house is considered the rejected parts because underdeveloped emotions can lead to people pushing and rejecting the parts that they truly have a passion for. Sometimes you see it in children who have a crush on someone and don’t know how to deal with their feelings so they bully or push away.
12th house is the house of the hidden because it’s what we are when we are not being watched, when we are at our lowest and feel the most alone. When OUR SELF (1st house) is not being watched, we are in fact “not watched”, it is before the rising sun and the staring of eyes. Similar to Light and how its proprieties change when it is being viewed and not being viewed.

What is scrying?
Scrying is a form of divination which involves gazing into a reflective surface and interpreting the abstract shapes which appear. Typically, scrying is used to tap into metaphysical forces, either to predict the future or contact the dead. Scrying is an ancient form of magick that has been present in many cultures for hundreds of years.
Note of warning
Before beginning, it is recommended that you smoke cleanse your scrying instrument with palo santo, sage or incense. Alternatively, you may use moon water. It is also wise to cast a circle. if you are planning to communicate with the dead, you may choose to physically demarcate your circle with salt.
How to scry
Once your circle is cast, it is important to create an atmosphere conducive to opening your subconscious mind to outside influences. Scrying is more likely to be fruitful when practiced in a darkened room, with few distractions. Incense and candles which correspond with psychic intuition will be helpful.
Rest your open palms on each side of your scrying instrument, and gaze into its surface. Relax your mind and watch the reflections that appear in the candlelight.
The images that appear are likely be abstract, like an inkblot test, but any practitioners recall seeing a single eye gazing back at them before particularly fruitful sessions. Is this the eye of the universe? The eye of a God? Your own third eye, being reflected back at you? No one knows, but it appears to be a good omen. To end your session, state your intention and close your circle. Make sure to write down what you saw for further analysis. You may realize later that you were given more insight than your initially realized!

What Is The Moon In Astrology?
If you’re at all familiar with astrology, you probably know your sun sign, but did you know you have a moon sign, as well?
To the ancients, the sun and moon were the king and queen of the planets. The sun describes your goals and is the keeper of your life story. The moon describes what you need to be happy, your unconscious needs, your style of nurturing and self-care, what it looks like when you’re moody, and what home feels like.
In most monarchies, the king is more important than the queen. In astrology, the moon is just as important as the sun. The moon has a leadership role among the astrological planets as leader of the night sect, and if you were born at night, the moon is your leader, too.
Your Moon Sign: What You Need To Be Happy
Everyone wants to be happy, but what happiness looks like is different for everyone. Some people have an emotional need for attention, and others are terrified of the spotlight. Some people thrive on freedom, and other people need a structured routine.
Your moon sign can help you figure out the types of experiences you need to have in your life be happy.
Example: If you have the moon in Capricorn, you thrive in solitude. If your life is excessively full of social engagements, you’ll likely feel cranky, but an hour alone working on something that feels productive will boost your spirits.
How You Do Nurturing and Self-Care
When we were born, we came into the world helpless. Our earliest relationships were ones of care. The moon describes our relationship with the people who cared for us and the things we learned about self-care from them. Carole Taylor says the moon describes what makes you feel fed, literally or metaphorically.
Just like there are many ways of pursuing happiness, the way we take care of ourselves and others looks different depending on our moon sign. The moon tells you the kinds of self-care routines that are likely to be most effective.
Example: If you have the moon in Cancer, self-care is about taking care of your emotional needs. You benefit more than other signs from journaling practices and relationships that support you through difficult moods.
Unconscious Needs: The Things You Crave Without Thinking About It
If you’re old enough to read this article, you probably have a pretty good idea of who you are. Even if you don’t have an elevator pitch down, you have a good idea of what your needs are and how you are (or are not) getting them met.
Or do you?
In the early 20th century, psychologists noticed that people aren’t always as self-aware as we think we are. We want things sometimes without knowing the reasons why, and we often act from instinct and habit without thinking. They called the area of the mind that influences these behaviors the unconscious.
In her book Astrology: Using the Wisdom of the Stars in Your Everyday Life, Carole Taylor points out that just like the physical moon reflects the sun’s light, the astrological moon “takes a less prominent role in our conscious awareness than our solar goals.”
Example: I have the moon in Aquarius. Aquarius has a need for freedom and an aversion to authority. I like to think of myself as a team player, but the truth is that I instinctually shy away from situations where I will be expected to go along with the group.
What It Looks Like When You’re Moody
If you took notes on your mood every day and averaged it out over the course of your life, the result would look a lot like your moon sign. The moon describes your average mood, your personal default state.
Historically, this was called your temperament. The ancients talked in terms of four main temperaments: choleric, melancholic, sanguine, and phlegmatic. We might call those temperaments irritable, depressed, cheerful, and easy-going.
In astrology, there are twelve temperaments described by moon signs.
Example: If you have the moon in Leo, you have a sanguine temperament. You feel most yourself when you’re happy and playful, expressing yourself creatively, and making the people around you happy.
What Home Feels Like
Are you more comfortable in a city apartment, or is your ideal home fifty miles from the nearest town?
Do you prefer to live by yourself, or would you be happiest in a party house?
The answers you give to questions like this correspond with your moon sign.
Example: If you have the moon in Libra, having a home that is aesthetically pleasing and harmonious is important to you. Relationships are an important part of self-care for you, so a space you couldn’t share with others is likely to make you uncomfortable.
What is your moon sign, and what does it tell you about how to get your needs met?
If you would like to spend some quality time getting to know the moon through the signs, I made a Moon Mood Journal, guided journal that helps you do just that.
Divination Drinks: Teas to Aid in Divining
Divination in all of its forms (tarot reading, tasseomancy; palmistry; pendulums, etc,.), can be quite exhausting and require large amounts of energy. These teas and tea blends will aid you in divining by enhancing your psychic power, and/or boosting your energy.
Tea Blends:
Psychic Tea (Scott Cunningham)
3 parts Rose Petals
1 part Cinnamon
2 parts Yarrow
Brew the tea, strain it and drink a cup before performing any form of divination as this tea enhances psychic awareness.
Tea for Divination (Moura)
1 tbsp China black tea
2 tbsp Lemon Balm
1 tbsp Rose Hips
1 tbsp Mugwort*
Brew the tea, strain it and drink either before divination or sip during/throughout.
Teas:
Jasmine Tea
Jasmine is said to induce prophetic dreams, which can aid in the growth of psychic power and psychic awareness making this tea a good choice of drink to be had before divining.
Drink 1 cup of this naturally sweet and fragrant tea before sleeping the night before you wish to divine.
Vanilla Tea
You can brew your own or buy ready-made Vanilla tea/tea bags. Vanilla enhances psychic ability and allows the benefits of this enhancement to be better felt and absorbed.
Drink Vanilla tea before and during any divination work to open yourself up and be more receptive.
Peppermint Tea
Peppermint tea heightens your psychic sensitivity, as well as working to clear the mind and sharpen focus. It can also be used to cleanse the mind and body of any negative energies beforehand.
This tea should be consumed before any psychic or divination based activities.
Some Other Things to Consider:
Some herbal tea blends may not be to your taste but this can be remedied by adding honey to taste.
Other herbs, such as Cinnamon, are used to add oomph to magick and can be added to tea blends and teas to do just that. If you don’t want to add pre-ground and grainy Cinnamon to your drinks, you can use a Cinnamon stick to stir instead. This will add the oomph you’re after without altering the taste too much.
If you want to make your brew even more potent, stir clockwise. This adds positive energy to your tea.

THIS WEEK 💫 8/30-9/5 As Mercury enters Libra, our thoughts and conversations are focused on how we can level things off, come together, and reach a state of equality and righteousness. Frustrations arise from shit not adding up; taking a more spiritual or esoteric method can help us find a solution. Allowing ourselves to be present with our emotions and tend to them as they come up can help us find a more proactive and forward-thinking approach to the challenges we face. Being honest about how we feel can open up the space for change rather than staying silent and letting things stay as they are. We have the power to do what’s necessary, we just have to be willing to find the compromise and common ground to do so.

🌙 Full Moon in Virgo
✧ 27th February 2021✧
If you’ve read some of my previous posts, you know that I’ve already talked about how the current astrological transits point to many big changes. This Full Moon is no different.
The Virgo Full Moon is greatly affected by Saturn squaring Uranus. There is strong need for independence and massive change. For some, this can definitely be uncomfortable and unexpected, but please do not fight it. The transformation is for the better, no matter how difficult it may seem at the moment.
Look back at the last 12 months. So much has changed on the global level, but also in our personal lives. Think about how you have grown as a person and acknowledge our strength. Reward yourself, you deserve it.
But at the same time, think about everything that is no longer working for you in your life. Habits, things, routines or people that you have outgrown but haven’t let go of just yet. Now is the time to do so.
Make sure you are not only focusing on your shadow aspects and all the heavy-duty stuff, but also letting yourself relax and feel free. We are in Pisces season - creativity runs high, so do that creative project you’ve been wanting to do for ages. Know that healthy balance is the key to success.
And as always, listen and follow your own intuition✨
✧ What you can do:
Shadow Work
Acknowledge everything you’ve outgrown and let go
Since Virgo is ruled by Mercury - I recommend writing everything down, journaling and taking notes of all your dreams, goals and wishes
Embrace any changes coming into your life
Focus on freeing yourself from the past
Let go of the old, so the new can come in
🕊16 days of Shadow Work
✨ Here are the prompts as I promised! They are timeless, whenever they find you, feel free to use them.
I will be starting with the first prompt on 25th February - few days before the Virgo Full Moon, so I can finish it right before 13th March - New Moon in Pisces.
I might be updating you on my progress, so definitely feel free to follow this along with me and we can share our thoughts!
✧ Day 1 What do I need to stop running away from? Why am I always running aways from this and what is going to happen if I face it head-on?
✧ Day 2 What is my definition of failure? What’s something that I have previously failed at and how did it make me feel? How can I deal with failure in a healthy way?
✧ Day 3 How do I lie to myself everyday? Why am I doing this and what am I trying to avoid?

Early Morning Candle Blessing Spell
This is a spell I created for those who wake up early in the morning and want to cast a positive energy over their day! I work in the morning and always light a candle when I do so, so I started saying this spell and it really improved my morning hours. I hope this can be helpful to you!
You will need:
A candle of your choice
Matches
Good intentions!
Steps:
Charge the candle by holding it into your hands and focusing your positive intentions for the day. You can imagine success during the day, a feeling of peace or comfort, etc. When you feel you’ve thought of all you could, get your match.
You can use your match as a ‘petition paper’ substitute for those who do not want to burn paper or for people who live in a dorm room (like me!). Using a pen or marker to write a word on a match that summarizes the energy you want to bring into your day today. I usually write ‘happiness’ or ‘love’.
Strike your match and light your candle, visualizing your intent. Say the following spell aloud as you light the candle:
I bless this day ahead With this fiery candlelight With this flame, my intentions living With this match, they ignite From the moment I wake To the second I sleep May happiness be mine to keep
Burn the candle as you normally would and enjoy your day!
