Shika has no idea what’s going on, where everything is, this really sucks. It’s not like he can just look around or anything. He starts walking around, trying to find somewhere to sit when he touches another person, and oh god she’s yelling,

“O-Oh god, I’m so sorry! I’m not going to do anything, I swear!” He’s looking slightly off to the wrong place, oh god he didn’t want to scare anyone

But… but he doesnt seem so scary… that wasnt a scary reply.

Astra takes a deep breath trying not to make her voice not shaky.

“I-im… im sorry.. imm j-just realky scared… i-im sorry for yelling..”

Shika is. Very scared that he just Terrified this poor girl, like he’s scared too but man not being able to see right now really sucks.

Shika puts his hands in front of him, trying to find something to sit on, they’re in a cafeteria right? There should be chairs? He thankfully finds one before running into someone else, sitting down. He’s pretty scared, honestly, but this can’t be real right? Who would.. even do that? Shika just sits here, thoughts running wild, tuning out other people for now.

Lucas was looking around the cafeteria until he noticed Shika sitting all alone.

Shika jumped a bit, then turned towards where he heard Lucas’ voice, glad it’s a familiar voice,

“Oh, hello. How… are you?” he isn’t sure on how to start a conversation with.. everything that he just heard

“Uh well ya know, things could be better? Im sorta shaken up at what the bear said? But im thinking it might just be some stupid freshman prank?? I dont know. But its nervewracking…”

he pauses.

“But what about you? i bet its q lot scarier for you.”

“Yeah it’s... let’s hope it’s some kind of prank. Wait, bear..?” Man he’s so confused. Like what the heck is going on lol.

“It is, I.. wish I had my cane, at least, I keep running into people and then also suddenly being told by someone that we need to kill to get out is.. very alarming”

It feels like the walls are closing in on Astra. Her breathing gets heavy and harder to take deep breaths and her vision starts to twirl.

Astra stands there complelty frozen and just looking at nothing. Theyll come for her first. She knows it. Shes easily the weakest one here… she needs… Joji to help her get strong, or someone…

Just when she was in the middle of awfuk thoughts, someone tapped her shoulder and made her freak out and jump away.

“PLEASE DONT KILL ME!”

Yo Dude! [Prologue]- OPEN

Honestly this has only happened a few times before. Waking up in a new place and not having any memory of how he got here was a normal party situation. Nothing to worry about. Though Lucas’s mouth didnt taste salty and nothing was in pain. So obviously this wasnt some fuckboy frat party he attended and got a little to out of control.

He slumped out of bed, messed around with his curly hair until it felt normal and rubbed his eyes before going out of the strange room and exploring.

Everything seemed just about normal. Though the lack of others was a bit concerning. Lucas walked down the hallway more and turned a corner to see someone with the same confused look as he does.

“Hey dude! Uh, do you know whats going on here? Was there some sort of party?”

Shika is staying very close to the walls, trying his best to figure out the layout and just.. know where he is. It’s really weird, being in a strange place is very off putting. He jumps a bit hearing a voice close to him, and turns to the direction it came from.

“Oh, no, I don’t think so? I don’t remember going to a party or anything. Are we in a house?”

Lucas looked around and nodded “hm well i wouldnt say house? maybe like a dorm?”

Lucas then sighed and looked a bit worried again. “So like this wasnt some crazy party that happened and everyone blacked out… damn. That means i should probably freak out more then…”

He paused and looked at Shika curiously. “Are you doing okay? Youre hugging that wall pretty tight.”

“I’m doing my best to not freak out myself,” He lets out a dismissive laugh, he really doesn’t like being in strange places. Especially when he doesn’t have anything to help him figure out where he even is exactly.

“I’m fine, yes, I just woke up without my cane and.. can’t navigate any other way right now?”

“Ah shit your cane? Do you have weak knees or something? Like a grandpa?” he laughs

Lucas no. that wasnt nice.

“No but like do you need help finding it or something? My legs work all good and can walk around fine. I wouldnt mind going around to find it.” he smiled brightly and thought about how hes a good kid helping out the ones in trouble.

“Oh, no, I’m actually blind, you see” Shika tries not to laugh at his own dumb comment, but fails, “Or, you know what I mean.”

“Thank you, perhaps it is in the room I woke up in somewhere? I felt around for a while but it wasn’t anywhere I would usually set it, so…” This guy seems pretty nice, offering to help him right off the bat before he even knows anything about him.

“Blind?! Yo ive never met someone who cant see before!” hes surpised. Its like not something he should think of as cool, but its so different. So like he thinks its cool.

“Dude ill totally help you out or something. I bet its pretty scary not knowing where you are and like what the place looks like. Do you want me to explain anything for you? Do you know whag colors are????”

Seeing is Believing - Prologue - Open

Shika wakes up, feeling the plush bed and comfortable blankets. This.. isn’t his bed. He panics for a second, feeling around the side of the bed to find his cane, but it isn’t there. Shoot.

Slowly getting out of bed, he awkwardly starts feeling in front of him, trying to find something stable. After a bit of searching, he finds the wall, and slowly maneuvers himself against the wall, trying to see if there’s an exit.

He finds the door, slowly opening it and cautiously walks outside. Placing a hand on the wall, he tries listening for any person,

“Hello? Is anyone there?”

Prologue/DANNY IS FUCKIN PISSED/Open

To say Danny was angry was an understatement. Danny was fucking Pissed Off. As if his life wasn’t falling apart before.

At least at home he didn’t have to deal with any bullshit, just wallow in his own demons and maybe order a pizza and then feed his cat. Then he got that letter in the mail and thought ‘Oh, maybe I shouldn’t fucking wallow in my own misery and try and start over again with an education!’ like a fucking IDIOT. He had a bad feeling as soon as he looked at the school, but did he listen? NO!!! HE FUCKING DIDN’T!!! AND NOW HE’S HERE!! IN WHO THE FUCK KNOWS WHERE, WITH NO CIGARETTES, NO CAT, AND NO FUCKING CLUE WHY HE’S EVEN HERE!!! HE HATES IT!!! SO MUCH!!! So here he is, stomping through the halls, hoping to find Some sort of exit before he goes ballistic.Or at least a pack of cigarettes to destress. Or a cat. Whatever fucking comes first. In his internal raging, he does Not notice the person in front of him, nor does he even attempt to move out of their way as he practically runs them over.

Shika had only recently came out of his room, trying his best to stick to walls and find someone else, he didn’t want to be alone.

What he could hear were footsteps, rapidly coming footsteps and it wasn’t until he was practically pushed onto the ground that he realised how close they were.

“I’m so sorry!”

Danny, metaphorically seeing Red, is not currently keen on apologies right now….even if it was his fault. “Watch where you’re fuckin’ goin’. What’re you, Blind? Stay outta my fuckin way.” Danny….Danny please

Shika covers his face with his arms, oh god he sounds really scary, he was staying against the wall why did someone scary run into him?

“I, um, I am, blind actually, I’m really sorry I’m trying to stick to the walls since I don’t know whats going on, I didn’t mean to run into you”

Well. Now don’t you feel like a fuckin Douche Danny? Danny’s thrown off from his internal raging from the mere fact he kinda just…was mean to a blind dude for no reason. Go figure. “Oh…Right. Didn’t know that but….my bad I guess. Aren’t you supposed to have like….a walking stick or something? Weird black circle shades so people know you’re blind? A guide dog?” Danny is…kinda getting creeped out by this guy’s eyes the more he looks. They’re cloudy, and the fact hes looking but not looking is…weirdly off putting. Why doesn’t this guy own a pair of blind guy glasses? They now make sense to Danny.

“I, ah. I do have a cane, I just.. couldn’t find it when I woke up, and um, I’m allergic to dogs, so..” Shika felt really awkward, being questioned like this. It’s really weird. Time to try and derail the situation?

“But, um, where are we? I’m really lost..”

Right. Danny should probably…not continue to be an Ass to the blind guy. Of Course. “I don’t really know where we are. Just kinda woke up a bit ago. Wasn’t exactly in the best mood when I did either. Whoever did this emptied my vest pocket and took my cigarettes. Usually I smoke to destress but…well. Sorry, I guess.” At least he apologized…finally

Ah, he smokes? That’s unfortunate, Shika never understood why someone would smoke, it just smells awful. Everyone has a reason though, probably.

“It’s okay, this is a stressful situation, isn’t it? Being thrown somewhere with strangers and such… I don’t like this”

Danny nods in agreement. “Yeah…I don’t like this one bit. Whatever’s going on, it can’t be good. I feel it in my bones”

Shika rubs a hand on his arm, feeling a bit uncomfortable from a similar bad feeling, this place does not feel good at all to him either.

“Do you.. have any idea why we’re here? As in, do any of us have anything in common or something?” He’s trying to figure out what he was doing before he ended up here, but honestly he can’t remember.

Danny thinks for a minute. “Well I know I was going to attend Hope’s Peak University. They gave me a free scholarship, so who was I to say no to that?”

Shika perks up at the mention of Hope’s Peak University. That’s something in common, yeah!

“I’m also supposed to attend Hope’s Peak University, so… maybe it’s some kind of weird orientation…?”

Orientation? This would be real weird for that. He would expect that more from a frat house than the college itself… “I dunno, maybe. We’ll find out eventually….” conversation is kinda….stagnating. “So….what’s it like being blind?” smooth.

Ah, the question Shika gets a lot. It always happens, but usually people aren’t so upfront about it. Well, Danny sure does seem like an upfront guy, so…

“Uh, I mean, what’s it like to see? I’ve been blind since birth, so I don’t really know anything else?”

Well that’s…certainly an answer. “Oh…is it really just? Nothing? Or…I dunno. Fuck it, let’s change topic. What the hell do you do?” Great topic change buddy. You’re getting there.

“I mean, oh, okay,” He was going to respond to Danny, but he was so adamant on changing the subject so, might as well.

“I’m a pianist, as stereotypical as that sounds. How about you?”

Danny barks out a laugh. “Oh man who knew we had somethin’ in common? I’m a musician too. Mainly played guitar and did vocal, but I dabbled in piano and a few other instruments. Also wrote my own lyrics. What kinda music did you play though? I’m assumin’ classical since that seems your gig. Not exactly my kinda sound, but I won’t diss you if it is.”

Shika perks up at the response, he’s into music too!

“Oh, that’s amazing! I’ve done a few original pieces, but only on piano, I am an.. awful singer” He laughs lightly, “Classical is what I usually do, but I play many other genres as well. As pretty as classical is, it gets boring playing Beethoven Symphony 9 or something 80 times”

Danny grins. He’s startin’ to like this guy.

“Well at least you get it’s kinda boring after a while. Classical ain’t the worst but it gets pretty damn tiring after listening to it forever. The kinda music I made was punk rock. The Best kinda sound is the one you put your heart into, and that’s where I put mine.”

Or at least, that’s what he used to do.

“Yes! It’s very pretty, but it’s boring to play after so much, but I still do all the time.” It really is annoying after a while, especially when your entire career is based around classical music.

“Oh! I listen to a lot of punk rock in my freetime! Or really anything along those lines, like rock or even metal, I love how any kind of music sounds really!” He smiles at him, it’s great he loves such a good genre! Shika’s a huge fan of music that you wouldn’t think he would be into. If he could, he’d totally go in a mosh pit, he loves that shit.

Danny grins. “Aw hell yeah! Maybe I can share some of my favorite playlists with you sometime. Hell, maybe we could work on a song together, I love collaborating.”

Also wrote my own lyrics. What kinda music did you play though? I’m assumin’ classical since that seems your gig. Not exactly my kinda sound, but I won’t diss you if it is.”

“Oh, that’s amazing! I’ve done a few original pieces, but only on piano, I am an.. awful singer” He laughs lightly, “Classical is what I usually do, but I play many other genres as well. As pretty as classical is, it gets boring playing Beethoven Symphony 9 or something 80 times”

Honestly this has only happened a few times before. Waking up in a new place and not having any memory of how he got here was a normal party situation. Nothing to worry about. Though Lucas’s mouth didnt taste salty and nothing was in pain. So obviously this wasnt some fuckboy frat party he attended and got a little to out of control.

He slumped out of bed, messed around with his curly hair until it felt normal and rubbed his eyes before going out of the strange room and exploring.

Everything seemed just about normal. Though the lack of others was a bit concerning. Lucas walked down the hallway more and turned a corner to see someone with the same confused look as he does.

“Hey dude! Uh, do you know whats going on here? Was there some sort of party?”

Shika is staying very close to the walls, trying his best to figure out the layout and just.. know where he is. It’s really weird, being in a strange place is very off putting. He jumps a bit hearing a voice close to him, and turns to the direction it came from.

“Oh, no, I don’t think so? I don’t remember going to a party or anything. Are we in a house?”

Lucas looked around and nodded “hm well i wouldnt say house? maybe like a dorm?”

Lucas then sighed and looked a bit worried again. “So like this wasnt some crazy party that happened and everyone blacked out… damn. That means i should probably freak out more then…”

He paused and looked at Shika curiously. “Are you doing okay? Youre hugging that wall pretty tight.”
