it was hard for the swooning to be kept on one side. especially with that crooked smile and his perfectly carved dimples. everything about shiloh was perfect in the most deliciously planned way. not as though he was the one who had planned it, that was always the best part. it didn’t seem like he had any idea that just looking at him stole elliot’s breath. it wasn’t cute, and he’d tell himself to knock it off if he caught himself doing it. but there was a thin, very tiny, extremely hard to see line that divided between what was okay for the simplicity of elliot’s ventures, and what was going too far down the romance rabbit hole. sometimes the line was easy to see, sometimes it got real fucking blurry. just like shiloh calling him handsome and elliot shooting an incredulous look, leaning back with a bit of shock and a HINT of a blush. “ handsome ? wow you are turning out the pet names, babe. “ he grins, sweeping back in to continue playing with his hair. he watched as shiloh excitedly exclaimed just how much of a good time he was having, to the point that it made elliot giggle like schoolgirl. it was shit like this that elliot was fucking lost with. but he pulled himself out of melting right beside him to answer his question. “ baby, i AM the social event. i AM the spectacle people come to see. “ he turns to look around them at the rest of the goers at this party. “ it’s on par to what i was expecting. nice and lowkey compared to my typical goings. “ he moves in closer so his lips could press to his jaw, pulling back for a sweet and low whisper. “ i’m very glad you are here. you are making my whole night. “ he grins, letting his other hand rest on his lower shoulder, a finger tracing his exposed collar bone.
“yes handsome,” he said through his grin. using his free hand without the glass in it, he brought his hand to elliot’s chest. “but also lovely, stunning, hot...” he slowly walked his fingers up with each description. shiloh wasn’t normally this flirtatious, but being around elliot tended to make him a bit bolder in his teasing. plus, the almost empty flute of champagne in his free hand was leaving him a bit more careless than usual. he let his fingers linger on elliot for another moment before letting them drop back into his lap, a coy smile still painted on his face. when he heard a giggle coming from his rather stupid comment, he couldn’t help the smile from turning into an all out beam. it felt good to make others laugh, no matter how dumb his joke might’ve been. especially if that person happened to be elliot. he rolled his eyes at his response. “you’re also so modest,” he added sarcastically onto his previous list. following his eyes, shiloh looked towards all of those surrounding them, nodding lightly as he explained. once again, he felt his face blush pink when he felt elliot’s lips against his jaw. he wondered how much he’d had to drink already, but didn’t want to ruin the validity of his comment or the warm feeling inside it had given him by asking. “really ?” he asked. “you didn’t have any big plans for the rest of the night that i’m interrupting ?” some sort of drama always seemed to follow elliot, and from watching previous seasons and countless other reality tv shows, shi knew that the party would be the perfect place for some sort of scene to occur.

he moved over slightly to give him some more room, though it wasn’t much since their shoulders are touching and elliot’s leaning into his personal bubble. he takes a sip form his own glass and laughs at shiloh’s comment. “ baby, this is a full meal for cali standards. “ he sets his tiny plate next to him so he can rest his free arm on the back of their chair, letting his fingers play with his hair. “ you’re lookin’ cute. “ he looks him up and down before returning back to his eyes. it seemed every effort elliot was putting into shiloh was paying off. a bit slow, but god it was worth it. he knew that all this time was going to lead to something grand and it would make all this time spent on flirting, teasing, overly romantic dates worth all of this. elliot usually spent time to dedicate on someone, wooing them and being with them until he got bored or things got too serious. he wondered how long that would take with shiloh. when he’d start to panic and just dump him on the side of the road. but good lord, with a smile like that it’s hard to ever think about such things as inevitable breakups and late night panic spells. elliot was drunk and he was cute and everything about him seemed to leave elliot winded— literally or metaphorically. “ are you having fun? “ maybe it’s the alcohol that’s making his voice drip with appeal and flirtation. maybe he just hadn’t seen shiloh in a bit and his doting seemed to pour out all at once. he was pretty certain if he was outside of himself looking in, he’d be disgusted.
he chuckled, shaking his head. “i think my mom would have an aneurysm if she heard you say that.” his mind flashed back briefly to his mother’s very midwest style of cooking complete with a tater-tot casserole with enough butter to clog a whale’s heart. his heart ached momentarily for his home, but the feeling vanished when he felt elliot’s hand in his hair. on the contrary, a feeling of tranquility seemed to wash over him. elliot had nothing in common with his hometown, but there was something about him that gave him the same safe feeling he got from the tiny town in the middle of nowhere south dakota. there was a small part of shiloh that knew that that was dangerous, knowing elliot’s reputation of one night stands, but he couldn’t help himself from giving into his charms. as usual, his compliment made shi’s cheeks flush. “you’re not looking too bad yourself, handsome,” he teased, a grin stayed plastered on his face. this was an understatement, of course, elliot always seemed to look superlatively put together. if there was a human equivalent of the heart eye emoji, it was shiloh whenever he was around elliot. he nodded, taking a sip from the champagne glass in his hand before speaking. “yes ! the people in california definitely make up for the shitty portions of food they have here,” he joked. “what about you ?” he asked, nudging the other lightly with his elbow. “is this party big enough for you, grand master of all social events ?” he teased, the grin on his face widening into a toothy smile.

all the alcohol was settling into elliot’s system. he was enjoying himself but not quite to the level he fully wanted. sure, the sights were great and everyone was having a good time and there was no reason elliot should be feeling otherwise, he was just missing SOMETHING, and he hated that feeling. after a couple of hours wandering around, having conversations with costars, socialites and celebrities alike at this party, he seemed to find himself sitting down, taking a breather on his phone. a moment to recharge while he munched on a few finger foods he snatched up on his way there. it didn’t take long for him to find the cure to his problem. gazing across the rooftop, he was hard not to find shiloh in a crowd when he towered over most of them. they were able to make eye contact finally, and elliot raised a brow, patting the space next to him casually. even from all the way over there, shiloh got the message and started moving closer. it took longer than elliot wanted, shiloh was far too polite to not stop and say hello to anyone that would grab his attention. during each and ever small conversation he got sucked into, he’d look at elliot, who was looking at him with crossed arms and a rather impatient look. finally, when he was able to pry away from all the people, he reached elliot, standing over him with his lopsided, goofy smile. “ man of the hour, huh? “ he looks down at his small plate, grabbing an horderve and holding it up to him. “ these tiny sandwiches are amazing you have to try it. “ he grins.
shiloh thrived when it came to parties. while most people enjoyed them for the drinking or the drama, the constant chitter-chatter was the most invigorating part of the night for him. the giddiness he got from flitting about, meeting countless people and cracking a few jokes was enough that he didn’t need to drink, but he toted around a half empty champagne flute he’d been sipping on all night as a prop. despite his love of small talk, the only place he wanted to be once he laid eyes on elliot was on the other side of the crowd of people. though his facial expressions didn’t portray his real feelings, since a wide grin stayed plastered on his face as he made his way slowly through the throng of celebrities. each conversation seemed to last longer than the last, but he managed to keep his usual charm and eventually excuse himself, only to be swept into a conversation by the next person he’d pass. eventually breaking away from everyone, he finally found himself standing in front of elliot. he rolled his eyes teasingly at the other’s comment. “hello to you too,” he said as he picked the sandwich from his hand, taking a bite as he sat down, tucking a leg beneath him as he did, careful with the glass in his hand not to spill. “honestly,” he paused for a second, swallowing his food before continuing, “horderves never made sense to me. like they’re cute and small, i guess, but they don’t fill you up. they’re pointless, essentially.”

even if he was nervous, and his cheeks got more pink, he still look adorable as elliot had moved closer. they had taken plenty of time to get here, maybe more so than elliot normally likes, but it seemed to be worth it. everything leading up to such a grand, cliche (almost sickeningly so) moment. he knew about shiloh’s hesitation. he understood where is came from, but that hesitation wasn’t going to stop elliot from getting him. from trying to get him to understand just why he was desirable and persuadable. everything that came with elliot was worth the trouble. the undeniable outcome was beyond worth whatever he was going to get out of being with him.
and from the warm cheeks and the gently kiss, it was beyond perfect in some glittery, romance-novel-esque way. he knew he had shiloh melting in his seat, he knew he had him wrapped around his finger. but things were captivating for him, too. maybe the fumes of the flowers was starting to get to him but even shiloh’s fingers were causing tingles in the tips of his fingers. so much so that he reached up, taking his chin between his fingers to kiss him deeper. perfection was unrealistic and unattainable, but this was pretty damn close to perfection you dream of when you’re younger. the kind of swept-off-your-feet desire and romance that leaves you breathless and writing your wedding vows. it can’t all be that one-sided. maybe shiloh really had that something about him that made elliot’s feet go numb. but it seemed more real elliot was getting too into the role he was playing. so he pulled back, separating himself. don’t get too invested, he knows this. shiloh could be trouble for him. he just gives a lazy smirk, his hand running through his hair. “ how was that, babe ? didn’t kill ya, huh ? “
while his head knew that anything with elliot beyond a physical level would be unlikely, his heart couldn’t seem to catch up, which he tried to shake off and attribute to the whole romantic atmosphere surrounding them in the hotel room. regardless of what his intentions were, shiloh had never had anyone go this far to try to win him over. and when he felt the other’s hand against his chin, he couldn’t help but think that this was something he could get used to. it felt better to than he cared to admit to himself to have someone who would shower him with affection. especially if that someone made his heart thump the way it did when he was with elliot.
he quickly pushed those thoughts out of his head and brought himself back to present time, however, as their lips parted, shiloh’s own forming a slight pout as he blinked a few times. his hand fell from elliot, but he felt his own head nudging involuntarily into hi, as he ran his hand through his hair. “not yet at least...” he teased, trailing off slightly as a grin matching elliot’s came to his own mouth. he reached out to momentarily run his hand down his face lightly, letting out a soft sigh as he did so. his eyes followed his fingers journey down to his jawline before he let his arm fall back down. “it’s just,” he looked back into elliot’s eyes, “the house... and the game...” he trailed off, figuring he knew what he was talking about. even though there was no turning back for shiloh at this point, he still knew any type of connection, regardless of if it was purely physical or not, would always come back full circle to the contestants eventually.

sayre tried to stay off of social media as much as she could –– although that didn’t mean that she didn’t have an internet presence. on the contrary, not only did many of rhett’s fans or overall just the fans of the show follow her on instagram and twitter, but she was the type of account to have a sparse feed, yet large enough following. she posted of mundane things –– acouple couple selfies, some studying, the places that she travelled, and the good oldthrowbacks to when she was in college. although some of the memories just seemed so far away.
she could sense a shadow looming, although she didn’t pay much attention. she wasconsumed in her work –– her textbook. she liked to keep herself on her toes and read up ontheory when she wasn’t obligated to be in the office. the only way to work her way to the top was to prepare herself for the rest of her life NOW. until –– the boy in front of her tumbled and fell at her feet –– or rather –– at the mercy of her books. a small smile was brought to her face, but she held in her laughter. her first reaction to a stranger can’t be laughing in his face. “hi !”she spoke with enthusiasm. despite being completely immersed in her work, she was still a gregarious girl. she grabbed his hand with a strong handshake ( perhaps from the aggressive manner post-field hockey game –– a habit she hasn’t quite gotten rid of yet, if she ever will ).
“nice to meet you… shiloh.” she hadn’t meet anyone with that name before, “cool name –– i like it.” she cleared her books to make room on the couch, “want a seat?”
thankful the girl hadn’t been too put off by his less than graceful entrance, shiloh instantly felt some of his first impression jitters fading away. “thanks !” he said, pushing himself up from the ground to sit back into the couch, folding one leg underneath him as he did so, facing his body slightly towards sayre. “for both the seat and the name things,” he added on as he shifted. “i bet you know all about cool names. i honestly don’t think i’ve met anyone named sayre before. is it a family name or something ?” he asked. he had a tendency to blabber when first meeting someone, so he tried to remind himself to ask questions to avoid droning on and on about his own trivial matters.
“shoot am i interrupting you ?” he asked, finally noticing all the textbook laying near her. he was in the same boat as he when it came to having to do work while in the house. in order to keep his fans happy, he was still attempting to vlog while in the house. doing this while also trying not to reveal too much about each episode of the rank before it premiered was tricky, but doable with the right amount of time spent editing his videos, a process he found rather soothing.

he was full aware that shiloh wouldn’t leave. it was too late for that. if he didn’t want to be here he wouldn’t have come at all, but he was swept up in the glamour and romance and sophistication that elliot was presenting to him, he’d stay right put. it wasn’t as if he hadn’t put his time in to convince shiloh that elliot was worth whatever came with him. everyone and their mother knew elliot was bad news and elliot wore that label like a pride button. he also knew he was alluring and reeled people in on his charm and his looks and everything he presented day-to-day. shiloh was a victim to that and that’s what he wanted, because chiloh was alluring himself. in some weird, very adorable way, he exuded a certain charm that had elliot trapped himself since their first night together. he’s made it a goal to get him into his trap since then.
elliot watched carefully as shiloh looked at him, a bit bashfully, giving a rather childish retort to his long speech. he knew it had worked. he knew his words carried and they were infecting him and he wished he was that fucking cake on his fork but instead he just watched, grabbing his champagne glass. “ i do know. “ he said, equally as softly, and with the same kind of grin. he just watched him down his cake. elliot’s really only had two bites but he’s thinking less and less about the cake and more about his lips. from his dimples to his nearly perfected hair and skin. he’s so nervous and elliot can see it and he wants to grab that feeling by the throat and take him. maybe not all the way but just enough. just enough glitz and glam to open the doors of his world and show shiloh this was a risk worth taking. a risk he NEEDED to take. his life has been filled with caution and the time for that to end is now. right in this room filled with flowers, where it smells fresh and delicate and it’s seeping through his own skin. it’s like shiloh was built for this room and he fits so perfectly in it. but he remains nonchalant, setting down his glass and pressing his fingers to the edge of the plate, moving it out of the way between them. “ i don’t want you goin’ anywhere. “ his voice smooth, and his eyes intentful as he brings himself closer to shiloh, their lips catching softly. he’s not meaning to be rough. it’s blush-dusted cheeks and chocolate lips sweet and he might even feel his own grow warm but it’s not noticed when they’re kissing and it’s the very thing he’s been trying to accomplish since his dashing smile watched through the door of that club.
noticing elliot was finished, shiloh set his own fork down on the edge of the plate. unable to shift his gaze anywhere else, his eyes met the other boys and he felt his face warm up yet again. the way he was looking at him was enough to turn his insides to mush. as he looked over his features, shi noticed that, like the room, everything about him seemed perfect, like it was planned. from his pouty lips to his kept beard. from his sculpted eyebrows to his pointed nose, everything about him was flawless. while shiloh was never one for religion, he was sure god had taken extra time and care while creating elliot hunt. he suddenly felt a bit self conscious as the other looked him over, not having even bothered combing the mop of hair on his head. he felt like an insecure school girl with a crush, a feeling he hadn’t felt in years.
shiloh bit down on his bottom lip as the words came out of elliot’s mouth. god it felt good to be wanted, regardless of what his intentions were. as their faces moved closed together, his heart rate picked up once more and any doubt that somehow managed to linger in his head slipped away. as their lips delicately met, he found himself melting into the other. he snaked one of his hands behind elliot’s head, placing it on his upper neck, right below his hair line. he suddenly regretted all the stupid time he had wasted attempting to avoid this. because it felt so right. regardless of whatever came from their little rendezvous at the hotel, shiloh was still thankful it was happening finally, that they were both going to get what they wanted the moment they both saw each other.

the both get a chuckle out of his word choice. it was fluffy, and elliot didn’t want to so bluntly say he wants to bend shiloh over a table but court would have to do. a much more respectable term for what was going on. he later statement, however, was completely genuine. whatever bullshit they were doing, and even if elliot was sober or drunk, shiloh made things rather entertaining. in a way that was a different pace than what elliot’s used to. his life is erratic and filled with drama and there’s no down beat. shiloh rides the downbeats into low-rumbling, chest-shaking fits of laughter and he’s got his priorities set on different things. just sitting in a chair picking at cake would be enjoyable. he wouldn’t be trying this hard if he didn’t find something special in him. which wasn’t typical for elliot. he liked to avoid special. just stick to textbook desire, but this was very off textbook. it added a level of excitement.
“ quite a few, actually. “ he shifts in his chair casually, taking a bit of cake and holding it close to his lips. “ doesn’t make it any less true. “ he shrugs, taking the bite. their lives had become dramatically smaller than they were just six months ago. they were filming, living in these (albeit very luxurious) houses, with the same thirty people. shiloh could just step outside his room and see just how true or untrue his statement was. when the chocolate was clear from his throat, he reached his free hand forward, a finger running across the back of shiloh’s hand. “ at this current point in time, where i am in my life, with everything going on, there is nowhere i would rather be, no one i would rather be with, than with you, in this outrageously beautiful and yet somewhat sickening room. with this delicious gourmet chocolate cake and a very overpriced bottle of champagne.” he looks up to meet his eyes. “ i’m right here, and so are you. “ he takes another slice of cake before pulling his other hand back. “ if you think that’s not genuine, shiloh, the door is right there. “ he he takes a bite of his cake, watching him for his reaction.
as elliot traced his finger over the back of shiloh’s hand, he felt his heart rate pick up. he also swore he could feel the hair on the back of his neck stand up and goosebumps come to his arms, but he was too focused on the words coming out of his mouth to notice them too much. finally forcing his eyes up to meet the other boys, he was sure his heart was about to burst out of his chest. he simultaneously both hated and loved the nervous feeling he got when he was around elliot, like he was the prey in some twisted game. a game he found addicting. a game that started months ago at the very first party they met at when they both set eyes on each other. a game that might very well be coming to an end in this over-the-top hotel room. or, a game that’s just getting started. the only thing shiloh knew for certain was that he wanted to keep playing.
shiloh shifted his gaze towards the door for a moment before turning back sharply, sticking his fork into the cake once more. “shut up. you know i’m not going anywhere,” he mumbled as a small grin involuntarily spread over his face once more. he brought the fork to his mouth again, eating another chunk of the cake. they both knew it was true. otherwise he wouldn’t have come to the hotel in the first place. his smooth words had only further worked shiloh over, coaxing him into a sense of security. elliot had him under his thumb. right where he wanted him. at this point, he’d long ago given up hope of being able to say ‘no’ to him. he knew that the house would find out about all of this eventually and that it would get out to the whole world at some point, but in this moment he didn’t care. elliot was right, they were both here, and that was real enough for him.
@sayrcs
like any good internet sleuth, before arriving at the house shiloh had looked up all of his fellow cast mates on instagram. mainly to see who he’d be living with for the next few months, but also so he could know who was who when he got to the house and at least make the others think he had half a clue about what he was doing there. so upon spotting a blonde sitting on a couch in the living room, shi was pretty easily able to identify that it was sayre. after seeing she went to harvard law, he concluded that she was probably ten times smarter than he’d ever be. if they weren’t on the show together, he probably would’ve been way too intimidated to approach her anywhere else.
however, in true shiloh nature, he wondered over towards the back of the couch where he unsuccessfully attempted a somersault over the furniture. his failed stunt ended with him on the sprawled out on ground in front of the girl. chuckling, shi sat up, facing her. while it definitely could’ve been a better first impression, there was no going back now so he just decided to roll with it. “hey, you’re sayre, right ? i’m shiloh,” he introduced himself, sticking up his hand towards her.
ellictss
well the truth was, elliot still invited him. whatever his true rooted intention were or how he wanted this play out, they both were aware of what elliot wanted. but he still TURNED IT OUT. he still made this happened and then had the thought to bring him here to share it with him. he knew this would be more of what shiloh wanted, rather than getting drunk and fucking. he was a boy with integrity, elliot respected that. the best games are not won over night and the same goes for fine ass. truth was, and in the fullest sense, pampering him was fun. doing something grand and over the top to watch his eyes expand and his cheek go pink and he can hardly speak, well that’s the best part of it all. he’s the one who did it and shiloh can’t get that anywhere else. no only is it winning shiloh over, it’s inflating his ego more than it ever needs to be. it’s the best of both worlds.
elliot pouts out a lip and lets his hand cup his cheek for a moment before sitting back. “ bless your heart, you managed to squeeze me in. “ he grins, grabbing his glass and taking a sip. one leg crossed over the other and he held himself with grace. far more than when they’d be at parties or just around the house. it felt right in the moment. a pretty room deserves pretty personal presentation. he leans over the table to grab the plate and slide it between them. “ well, shiloh, i’m not a subtle man. “ picking up a fork, he holds it out to him. “ i could say i wanted to spend time with you but we know i’m trying to court you with this. “ he snorts at his own word choice, grabbing a fork for himself. “ of course it’s beautiful, i did it.” he rolls his eyes with a confident shrug. it really was like out of a dream and elliot was impressed he could whip it up so fast. thankfully it was being well spent. his fork was about to plunge into the cake before he pulls back and looks at shiloh. “ i do enjoy spending time with you, though, shiloh. you’re a breath of fresh air from a lot of people here. “ that was the truth.
gingerly taking the fork from elliot, shiloh listened to what he was saying, a part of him already having a pretty good idea of what he was going to say next. he couldn’t help but chuckle at how he chose to phrase it. “’court’ me. right,” he muttered somewhat sarcastically as he rolled his eyes. he had to admit though, the way elliot presented the idea was alluring. pretty much everything about elliot was alluring. he knew exactly what he wanted and he radiated the self-confidence needed to get said thing. it just so happened the aforementioned ‘thing’ he currently had his sights set on was shiloh, and even shi himself had to admit, he was getting exactly what he wanted. the self-assurance elliot seemed to ooze was intoxicating enough for shiloh to want to abandon his moral code and give into elliot right away. but he couldn’t give in that easily. he didn’t want to be seen as just an object he could use and then abandon when he wanted. although there was a small part of him that wanted just that. to be one of elliot’s things. he tried his best to suppress this part of him.
“mm,” he hummed, sinking his fork into the cake to remove a small portion of it before bringing the food up to his lips and placing the fork in his mouth. he couldn’t help a low moan from escaping his lips at the velvety texture and rich flavor of the cake. he thought for a moment as he chewed the chunk of cake. “yeah ? how many guys has that line worked on before ?” he asked finally once he had swallowed, fixating his gaze on the cake as he softly bit down on his bottom lip. he knew he wouldn’t be able to keep this act of aloofness up if he actually looked at elliot, so he chose instead to poke at the cake with his fork, watching it intently. shiloh wasn’t a total idiot, despite what some people may have thought. he’d watched the previous season of the rank and had heard plenty of rumors to know that he would become one of elliot’s many conquests if he gave in, and he didn’t want to taint his reputation with just being another one of elliot hunt’s boys.

elliot was not a man of ROMANCE. he was not an image of grand gestures and sweeping men off of their feet. he was, however, the man who became whatever he felt was appropriate for the person he wished to charm. shiloh wasn’t the same as most of the men he found himself wanting. he was in a different class of person than most of the ones he found himself around. more wholesome, he cared. typically, that’d make him want to vomit, but it looked cute on his dimpled face. so he knew, if he wanted him, which he does, he’d had to shift his gears. it was not a front of sex and desire, but of dedication and imagery. because it didn’t matter if shiloh gave a shit about roses or champagne or overly-saturated romance with chocolate cake, it was about what it all showed; the affection, the dedication, everything he was willing to present for him. he was presenting a more wholesome, sensitive form of himself he hoped shiloh would latch onto (whether it was completely genuine or not didn’t matter).
his awe was captivating. it was contagious and elliot stood up form his seat, grabbing the second CHAMPAGNE FLUTE, and carried it across the room, moving around the bouquets set out, holding it out to him. “ they’re flowers, baby. lots of flowers. “ he waited for him to take the glass before sipping his own, keeping his eyes on shiloh. he wasn’t going to outright lie to shiloh, he was far better about refusing to share the whole truth. “ i wanted to share this with someone, and i thought who better to share it with than my twinkle toes. “ he reaches forward to press the tip of his finger against his nose in a swift boop. “ come, “ he takes long strides back to the table he was sitting at, where the overly expensive chocolate cake sit. it was extremely decorative. he was thankful it fit the overall aesthetic. he would have freaked if it didn’t. he pulled a second chair, identical from his own, closure to his, so they were sitting around the corner from one another. “ sit. “ he does so himself, running his finger over the base of his flute. he looks over shiloh, still in his white cardigan and fluffy hair as ever. it’s a look. and they’re close and alone and he knows to expect unapologetic flirting from him now, so he reaches his hand forward, gently through his hair. “ thank you for coming, babe. “
continuing to look around the room in wonderment, shiloh nodded slowly as he took the glass from elliot, still not completely sure what was happening, but also afraid to shatter the magnificence of it all by questioning too far into it. he decided to settle for the meager explanation as to why this was happening. he felt his cheeks flush pink when the other poked his nose and he raised the flute he’d been cradling in one of his hands to his lips to try to cover up his rosy tint. he took a long, leisurely sip from the glass before lowering it once more. he went mute for a bit, his last question seeming to be the only words he could muster up enough to force out of his throat. the cool facade he’d maintained over text didn’t hold up as well in person, but he could partially attribute it to purely how overwhelmed he felt in the moment. between the mass of gorgeous flowers surrounding him and the delightful chocolate cake sitting on the table, this was easily the most romantic thing anyone had ever done for him. and, despite his better judgment and the knowledge in his head that this was all a front to try to get with him, shiloh could tell it the other’s plan was working on him.
following elliot’s instructions, he strolled towards the table, matching the other as he took a seat in the plush chair. he set the glass on the table in front of him and dropped his hands into his lap where they began fidgeting with the bottom of his cardigan, a bad habit of his. any heat that had left his face during the brief period of time returned once he ran his hand through his hair. “yeah, i managed to clear some time out of my super busy schedule to come,” he teased, the words finally coming back, although they were a bit rushed. “thanks for inviting me,” he added on, a close-lipped smile coming to his face. “this is all so... beautiful,” he said, although knowing that word couldn’t truly capture how picture-perfect everything was. he felt himself wondering exactly how many times elliot had done this before.
