This has been a long time coming, I think.
I could not tell you the amount of texts I must have sent to friends going oh my god i have the urge to just delete my blog and start over. I wrote text posts like that too, or reblogged them from someone else. At some point I stopped writing within this fandom frequently, then hardly at all. The ideas were there; the passion was not. Even reblogging gifs of BTS felt mechanical, an emotionless habit I could not kick. Right now I am wholly intent on saying goodbye.
I love BTS. I always will in some form or another, and they are still a comfort to me in some ways now. This blog and all of you wonderful, incredible people are also still a comfort to me in many ways, as strange as it may seem.
Still, it is time for me to go. In about a year, I will be going to graduate school. I will be moving across the country for it. I will be an adult with a bachelor’s degree working towards a PhD. Is it wrong to feel too old for tumblr, and especially for fanfiction, despite being only 21? Maybe not for someone else. Maybe yes for me.
There are far too many works I had planned that will go unfinished, but I will be uploading what I had planned for the endings to series such as Victor’s Game over on ao3. I will still be on tumblr for a little while to see if mutuals would like to stay in touch, but in the meantime this blog will serve as an archive of my old fanfiction in case you wish to read those stories until this blog will likely be deleted within the next year or so.
Ultimately, though, I want to say thank you. I have run this blog and written stories for 3 years, and every single like, reblog, comment, DM or ask sent was something that has stuck with me. There are so many people on here with compassionate, gentle souls and people who have changed my life. Anyone who has chosen to interact with me in some way has shaped a moment of my existence or made my heart swell with emotion. Even simply interacting with my writing is meaningful. Each and every one of you is meaningful too.
Whoever you are reading this, if you have taken the time to interact with me or my blog, please know that I love and appreciate you with all that I am. You have impacted my life and will go on to impact so many others as well, and I am so unbelievably grateful for all of your support through these years.
