Y’all want to talk about a tragic character? Trilla to me is one of the most tragic. She was captured and tortured after her master, Cere, unwillingly gave up the location of Trilla and the younglings she was protecting. She was brainwashed and became the Second Sister where she was forced to hunt down the remaining Jedi. She was fueled by hate. Hate for the order because she had been brainwashed into hating the Jedi. Hate for herself because she wasn’t strong enough to save the younglings, and hate for her master who she believed abandoned her, left her to fend for herself and was tortured brutally. And when Trilla was dead and the Second Sister was what was left, her master didn’t try to save her. When they finally confronted each other years later Trilla realized her master did care, her master was sorry and should have never left her. The Second Sister was Dead and Trilla was back. She was going to go with them. Until Vader appears and tells her she failed. Her last words we’re “Avenge us.”

Her return was punctuated with her death which is tragic because unlike Anakin she never made the choice to join the dark side, the empire. It was forced upon her and when she finally had the agency to make a choice, to forgive Cere, it results in her death.
