I don't know why but I have a feeling Grand Admiral Thrawn is not going to like Moff Gideon.

I agree. From my gut and what I know about these two characters, I feel like they’re opposite sides of a coin. Both conniving, tactful, and most importantly, almost overconfident in their abilities. In the Mandalorian and in Rebels hubris is their downfall. However, Gideon is outspoken, extroverted, and believes his way is not just the best way, but the only way. He is a wild fire that will burn down everything until he gets what he wants. Thrawn is knowledgeable, perceptive, and introverted. Thrawn is not afraid to admit he made a mistake, that someone else has a better idea, or if someone caught something he missed. He is an emergency freeze. You think you’re safe but when the conditions are just right and the power goes out, he sneaks in through the cracks and crevices slowly infiltrating until he has overpowered his opponent.

That ended up being way more poetic and pretentious than anticipated, but I fully believe it. Gideon is going to try to take over, but I think Thrawn will have that little bit of information on Gideon that will keep him from getting toppled.

I’m not necessarily saying they SHOULD do this, I’m just saying I think it would be funny if in the middle of the second most stressful, emotional, heart-wrenching week of Obi Wan’s life, he also had to deal with suddenly running into Hondo again.

Context: there have been a number of posts lately about de-aged Disaster Lineage shenanigans and I’ve been enjoying every single one, they’re all really creative and funny.  I ended up talking out some ideas with a friend about the same concept which led to these bad sketches that I am now subjecting to all of you haha.

In this, the older the member of the lineage was, the more they de-aged.  We have (actual) baby Yoda, 6-year-old Dooku, 9-year-old Rael, 11-year-old Qui Gon, 13-year-old Obi Wan, older teen Anakin and poor young adult Ahsoka.  There is no logic to these ages, that’s just roughly what we were going with.

Alternative dialogue for the Qui Gon, Obi Wan and Anakin scene:

Qui Gon, to Anakin: You’re not my Master. >:(

Anakin: Well, your Master is currently 6 years old so too bad.

I kept mentioning that from time to time, yes :)

It happened in Star Wars Republic comics series:

In The New Face of War (Republic #52), during mission Anakin was asking ARC trooper did it bother him that Jedi call him “clone” and although A-17 said he didn’t care one way or another, Anakin started calling him Alpha.

later in No Man’s Land (Republic #62) , when Alpha was re-assigned to Kamino, to train new generation of clones, Anakin suggested to give them names instead of numbers and Alpha said he will consider it (and isn’t the whole scene an interesting to analyze?)

And when in Star Wars Obsession #4, Anakin learnt Alpha is now namig other clones and asked about it, Alpha said to Anakin “you started it, kid”.

Of course, I wouldn’t say that only Anakin contributed to this change but he was for sure one of the first prequel Jedi we saw to be bothered about their lack of names and actually doing something about it. The additional sources, like Fact Files 114 even point out that Anakin’s determination to see Alpha as an individual, whereas other Jedi referred to him as ‘the clone’. was one of reasons Alpha respected (liked) Skywalker.

And this little act of naming one ARC developed into giving / allowing names to other clone troopers.

This is very interesting and very on brand for Anakin’s character. I’m under the opinion that this stems from his time as a slave and the “I’m a person and my name is Anakin” mentality that he just can’t shake off due to his time of being treated like an object while he was a slave. So he sees these clones, and when he starts to see the individuality of the clones come through, when that mutual respect is built on the battlefield, he sees them as an individual and not a serial number or just a replaceable clone and he gives that ARC trooper a name signifying their individuality.

Reasons the Jedi should end 9/?

When Anakin discovers the truth and immediately tells Mace Windu, Mace admits he doesn’t trust him, and sends him to his room.

Demonizing Mace Windu for telling a guy who literally betrays the Jedi, who got on the council by taking a bribe from Sugar Daddy Sheevy, then threw a tantrum for not being made a master when he’s not ready, who is close personal friend ds with a guy they are going to arrest he maybe shouldn’t come with since he’s a guy who takes bribes and is close friends with the bribe-giver.

Like, Anakin here helps murder Mace, Mace was 100% right to not invite him along.

I’ve said it before on this site and I’ll say it again, the amount of people who hate the Jedi because they blame the council for Anakin’s fall are just too many. Anakin is responsible for his own actions. He’d been manipulated, but there are still two options, do or don’t. He knew Palpatine was the Sith Lord, he knew he had an obligation to the Jedi and the Council, yet he disobeyed a direct order and caused the genocide of the Jedi.

What I haven’t said is that it is my own opinion that it was actually hard for the council to not grant him the rank of Master. They know Anakin’s record, they know he is extremely skilled. By those facts he should have been a master on the council. But, they also know he is unpredictable, easily provoked, obsessive about his relationships, and young. Everybody knew he was going to be a Master, everyone knew he was going to get a seat on the council. He just needed to mature. Give it a year or two at most, honestly. He was too young to have seen as much death and destruction as he did. He was too young to hide a secret marriage, and WAAAAAY too young for a child. On top of that he genuinely believes his wife is going to die while he’s powerless to help, the same as his mother. This man has the weight of the world on his shoulders and instead of asking for help, he crumbled under the pressure. At the end of the day his lack of emotional maturity and fear of loss were the reasons behind not getting promoted, and the fall of the Jedi. Not because a few members had it out for him. Anakin was well respected for his abilities and decisiveness, just not his level head.
