So I had my wisdom teeth removed today.

While I was in the recovery room, I vaguely remember chatting with the nurses, and the topic of hockey came up. I asked her who her team was, and she replied “Chicago Blackhawks, I’m from Illinois.” Not even a second to consider it, with my swollen mouth full of gauze, I go, “FUCK the blackhawks. They are the worst team ever. Fuck the blackhawks.” So, if you’re ever wondering, my hockey hate stands, regardless of if I’m sober or if I’m in a drugged yo stupor.

It’s my birthday eve, and I just really wish I could spend tomorrow with the people that mean the most to me. It’s a bittersweet birthday, as it’s my first one away from all my friends and family. I miss them so much, and I’d give anything to spend the day with them, but I’m also so happy and lucky to be able to spend my birthday, and every day, with the man I love. I just wish everyone wasn’t so far away. Is teleportation real yet?
