Unique? That is such a beautiful name and so, well, unique! Oh god, I am so jealous of your hair and name and eyes, you are amazingly beautiful! I am a junior, but I hope you are having fun in your first year of MOH. You just look like the kinda girl who would love my family’s cosmetics line! God, you are just so fashionable! I love it!

Eric flicked his hair, blushing slightly at the new girl in front of him. He hadn’t lied, he thought she was absolutely extraordinary, she was beautiful. It wasn’t like him to feel that way towards girls specifically, but he couldn’t believe the gorgeous person sitting next to him was human.

[Unique found herself still smiling as a light shade of pink began to coat the skin of her cheeks from all the lovely compliments that were just given to her for which she was hoping her hair color would do her justice and cover it up]

Aw, thank you! That was really sweet, most people look at my hair and just find it very bright. [she laughs softly] But, thank you! A junior? So you're almost done. You probably know a couple of my sisters then, some of them are juniors too. I am actually! I met a lot of people already and made some new friends, and they have an Astronomy class! It doesn't get better than that! Your family has a cosmetic line? That's so cool! I don't really know how to do a lot of fancy make-up, but I wouldn't mind learning! [she smiles] Thanks.

You can say that, yeah. [He smiles guiltily.] My mom’s the same which is why I try to hide it from her nowadays. [Pausing, he raises an eyebrow.] Yeah, exactly, but wait. Do you all sing?

[she laughs] I'll try my best not to. Hopefully that first experience was enough for my curiosity because getting stuck in there was not fun.

See, I try to hide it too! But I'm just awful at it because I'm really, really, really, bad at lying, like really bad. I begin to ramble on and on that sometimes I can't even tell you what it is that I'm actually rambling about. It's bad. [she smiles nodding her head] Yeah we do! We love to sing.

[Pascal was jolted by the accompaniment of another voice, pleasantly surprised as he turned around to see Unique entering the room. He smiled brightly, feeling his nerves wash away as they often did when she was around and continued to sing the chorus.]

[It wasn't until Unique had officially entered the room that she realized the voice that she was singing along with was Pascal's. She was about to apologize for having interrupted when instead she found herself smiling when he continued to sing realizing that she was really enjoying listening to his voice. Unable to help herself, she continued on with the next stanza]

Eric was talking to a classmate about the history of an old artist, one that Eric looked up to more than anyone in the world. It was more of an argument than a discussion but he never decided to get aggressive. As the tension was dying off, Eric turned to a person on his right and decided it was time for a new friend.

[Unique had been busy sketching in her notebook all of the constellations she had seen the night before. She wasn't exactly paying attention in class like she was suppose to... but her stars always came first to her above everything. Her attention, however, was pulled away upon hearing someone speak to her, as the red head responded with a beaming smile]

Hi! I love making new friends! I'm Unique, Unique Bailey. It's really nice to meet you Eric. Are you new here?! I am, well I'm a freshmen. It isn't exactly my first day here, but it is my first year!

Just got back from a week long hunting trip with my dad. It was fucking awesome. Anyways, what’d I miss? Did anything interesting happen while I was out?

Oscar! You're back! [she went up to him giving him a hug] Hunting trip? Did you kill any animals? You know... actually don't answer that because then I'm going to picture blood, and you know what happens then. I'll pass out and all, but I missed you! You really didn't miss much actually, just probably a lot of homework, and me. You did miss me, right?

Everybody's Waiting For The Next Surprise || Heath & Unique

Heath’s legs were languidly resting on the top of the chair in front of him, his legs slightly too long and the space slightly too small to be perfectly comfortable. He barely took any notice though, having practically lived in the auditorium for months on end the past few years. School plays, recitals, assemblies, more recitals, recital practice —- the woes of having Alexander Queen for a friend, really. Still, he was sprawled in his too-small chair with his too-tall-and-lanky body, in the auditorium for who knew what reason (he could have done all this in his dorm, but the chance of someone walking in and asking what he was doing was slim to none. The chance of someone walking in and asking what he was doing wasn’t all that much higher in the auditorium - as opposed to the student lounge or the quad - but the students would be statistically more interesting). 

He was scribbling in yet another notebook, pausing every so often to bite his pen thoughtfully, looking up at the ceiling or at the stage, before resuming his writings. His fingers were flecked with blue and black ink, and parts of his notebook were horribly smudged wherein he’d decided he hated what he’d written. —- Which, to be fair, wasn’t often. Heath was horribly narcissistic at times, especially when it came to his own writing. 

Heath barely even looked up as the auditorium doors opened, but a small, satisfied smirk somehow settled on his face, triumphant. “Hope you weren’t expecting an empty place to practice or what have you,” he called out, still writing. “Because I’m not moving.”

Unique had accomplished finishing yet another day full of classes only to leave the last one with a slew of homework that she clearly did not want to think about at the present moment. Instead, the red head took to singing to help her mind slip away from the dreadful amount of assignments she had waiting for her in her back pack. Honestly, why did these teachers find such enjoyment in snow piling them with a mountain load of work?! It was like they were professionally trained to kill a student's social life, for which she found highly rude if her opinion were to count for anything. Even though Unique was well aware that the opinion of a freshmen truly didn't count for much, she still was rightfully upset about it, but there really wasn't much she could do about that now.

Her lips already allowed the soft melodious lyrics of the song she had in mind to escape from her. She was singing a song she was very fond of, Little House, and it honestly didn't phase her in the slightest that everyone was hearing her as she walked through the halls of the school. It wasn't as if she was paying attention, she never did when she was singing. Songs always took her away from the world around her. When she was singing, nothing mattered but the lyrics, the soft hypnotic allure of her voice, and at the present moment that was all she was tuned to.

It wasn't long before she found herself opening the doors to the auditorium, still highly lost in the melody of her own song, when a voice cut her abruptly from her peaceful world. Opening her eyes, for she had closed them once she found herself lost in her music, she saw someone sitting down as she placed a smile on her lips. "Actually, I was here for music club, but it looks like I'm early." Curious, Unique looked at the boy and the notebook in which he was writing in. "What are you writing? You look really into it."

Oh, did he, now? I’ll have to give him a pat on the back next time I see him. [Peter chuckles.] Wouldn’t have ever imagined Oscar being into stars— ‘S pretty cool how you guys met there.

[Peter grins then, relating to her. His curiosity had often led him into messy situations as well, though he’d usually welcomed the experiences.] You sound a lot like me. Anyway, more power to you guys. [Then, jokingly, he says—] Have you considered making a super girl group?

[Unique nodded] He really did, and I'm so grateful that he did! I'm pretty sure I would've entered a panic attack if I had been left locked inside of a locker. Really? Oscar loves stars! Almost as I much as I do! 

Do you have a vivid curiosity like me then?! I think mine is going to give my mom a heart attack one of these days. She likes to worry a lot, and I tend to make her worry more often than not because of my curiosity. [she laughs] You know what? We should! We might as well, right? I mean there are nine of us in total!

     Her head turned sharply, catching a glimpse of the smaller girl as she paid a compliment. Blame it on the time of year, but Kat couldn’t help an excited laugh leave her lips before she took off her hat. As she tossed it up in the air, she spoke up, “The spookier, the happier.” After Kat had caught the black ringmaster’s hat, she placed it on the girl’s head. “You could at least pay respect to the season by wearing mostly black,” she explained, giving an uncharacteristically genuine smile.

[Unique found herself beaming when she was giving the hat as she happily placed it on so that it may fit her even better. Allowing laugh to escape she looked at the girl, finding her amusement for the holiday very enlightening] Thank you! [she looked down at her outfit realizing that she was dressed in hues of pink before she laughed once more] You're right, I'm not in Halloween spirit at all right now. I promise, I'll make sure to wear more black from here on out! It's October after all, I need to enter Halloween spirit too!

{Music Room}

[Pascal stands in the music room, careful to make sure the door is shut tight and that no one is around. He runs his hands tentatively over each of the guitars, his interest in each of their forms evident in his eyes. One in particular peaks his interest - this old, beat up thing resting in the corner without even the proper stand. He smiles down at it as if it is his old friend and runs his index fingers over each of the strings. Perfectly in tune. He let’s out a content sigh, pleased with the gentle noise. He hums lightly and picks the instrument up, sliding the strap over his shoulder and shrugging into it until it rests nicely around him. He then chews his lips before he decides what to play. A song he had been hearing on the independent radio in that indie store on the way to work popped into his head and he nodded lightly to the tune as he began to play and soon began to sing]

[Unique was glad to be done with her classes and even more so that she realized none of her teachers had given her homework, an outright miracle, and a miracle she had every intention to enjoy. She was ready to practically sing out with joy because what better way to celebrate than to sing a song? And she was just about to do so, when she heard the sound of a guitar not too far from where she was standing. She had made it to the front of the music room, and already found herself humming along to the familiar tune of the song. Music always had a special way of taking over as she found her legs moving on their own accord into the room where the music was found, her lips already allowing the lyrics to slip out in harmony with the voice that was singing]

He willingly helped you with something? [Peter couldn’t help but to smile at the news, proud of his friend.] How’d ya get to meet Oscar, then? And tell me about it. A lot of kids seem to wanna grow up fast these days, and I’m just sitting here wondering what the hell’s wrong with them because being an adult’s gonna suck.

[He moved on, however, choosing to focus on the other topic at hand.] Your sisters must fuss over you all the time, though. [Leaning back on the couch, he shook his head.] I’ve only met Cadence and Mackenzie. Oh, and I got a random text from Tara once, which I later found out was a Bailey, too. [He laughs and teases—] You guys are everywhere.

[Unique nodded her head] I was in a locker, like literally inside of it because I got curious and wanted to see if I fitted, and somebody went and closed the door shut on me. Oakley was nice enough to scare the other person off and get me out. I've known Oscar for a while now. We met at a planetarium. [she laughs] I'm with you! I don't want to grow up just yet. I like my age, and I'll be happy to wait more. 

They do, especially since I tend to be the more active one of the bunch. [she smiles] I have a very weird curiosity that likes to get me into trouble sometimes. We really are! It's like we are invading the school, and now you met me too. You've pretty much met one-half of the bunch. You should meet us when we're all together. [she laughs softly]

     Kat took in a deep breath, letting it fill her up as she stood watching the school doors. She was clad in, without doubt, her biggest statement outfit so far.  It was Halloween, after all. And no, Halloween was far more than one night. October and Halloween were synonymous to Kat. So, when she pulled the double doors of the school’s hallways open, she didn’t hesitate in shouting, “Happy Halloween, motherfuckers!”

[Unique had been busy quickly making her way through students since it seemed that she would be late, once again, to her first period class which she didn't even like so much in the first place. She had finally made it to the front of the entrance door, when her eyes caught sight of a girl wearing a rather Halloweenish outfit to then hear her after shouting her Halloween greetings. Walking up to Kat, she smiled] Happy Halloween! I like your outfit.

[Peter’s mouth curved into an ‘o’ shape when he recognized the names.] You’ve met my buddy Oaks, huh? And Oscar, yeah. Cool dude. Met him not too long ago, actually. [With another shrug, he shook his head.] Nah. I’d rather stay a kid for another few years than— [He stopped abruptly. Wait. His eyebrows furrowed slightly together as he tilted his head to one side.] Did you just say you had eight sisters? […] You’re not a Bailey, are you?

[Unique nodded her head with a smile] I did, and the second time I saw him he helped me with a locker situation I got myself into. He's really nice, Oakley that is, and so is Oscar! Well, I guess I'm bias when it comes to Oscar, but still he's the best. That's understandable! Who wants to grow up so fast anyways? [she laughs] Yeap, eight sisters! I am! The youngest one actually. You're talking to the baby of the house. Have you met all of my sisters?!

[Peter shook his head.] Nope, far from it. I’ll be graduating this year, unfortunately. [He gave a nonchalant shrug.] Think you’ve adjusted alright, though? I know it can be overwhelming for freshmen sometimes.

[Unique found herself laughing] That's code for "I'm probably not going to hear you sing" huh? 

So you're a senior?! My best-friend is a senior his name is Oscar, and I met another senior not too long ago too, Oakley. You don't want to graduate? [she smiles nodding her head] I have, and I also have eight sisters here, so they help out with the whole process.
